Hotel is a little dated but wonderful. We stayed using points and wanted for nothing. It is close to the zoo and sea world and easy access to everything else in San Diego. The breakfast buffet leaves a lot to be desired and is pricey but the coffee was fabulous! Definitely recommend if you are looking for something that you can stay at while going around to the sites in San Diego.

My family stayed here for 5 days. As many other reviewers said it's a dated hotel needs refurbishment. The old decoration does not bother me, as long as all the facilities functioning and reasonably clean. However, the rooms we stayed need thorough clean. My kid's white socks turned BLACK after running around in the first room we stayed!! Days later we found a watery area near the heater in the room, my socks soaked with water once I stepped on the carpet of that area. So we changed to another r... Read more

This is an older Hawaii themed property with a crazy outdoor access layout. Although the room quality was average the customer device was not. After spending 20 minutes walking around looking for the laundry room and ATM the front desk was unable or unwilling to break a twenty so I could get quarters to do laundry. The market was closed with a sign to ask someone who wasn't available. I finally asked a server in the restaurant to break into his tip jar and break the bill.

Stayed there for a business trip. The staff was very responsive and helped me well with every request. Addition of airport shuttle will really help. Lots of food given in room service- thanks. Rooms are well kept and serviced.

Nestled in Mission Valley, this hotel has it all! Beautiful pool, top sushi bar, great restaurant, beautiful court yards (4). Excellent location from Zoo, Sea world, downtown, old town and in center of many excellent restaurants. This will be where I stay on every trip to San Diego! The staff went out of their way to accommodate me. Rooms were very comfortable, but were a little dated. Everything was great!

Stayed here for a wedding at nearby USD. My room was comfortable and it was nice to have a fridge and microwave as well as coffee service. The place is a bit dated and could use some freshening up. The hot tub was large and nice. The restaurants were good but pricey. I did not make use of the wifi but did use the business center to check e-mails etc. It was clean and comfortable. There were a couple of issues with the computers, which staff fixed promptly. Staff were quite friendly and helpful. ... Read more

The good side - Pool is amazing, quite hotel, well located. The bad side - Service is as bad as you can get. Employees are not smiling, a bit rude and the room cleanliness is bad. Dusty in some spots, Wiring of TV is all over thrown below the work desk. Just don't expect to get any kind of service - good enough to stay but defiantly not 3.5 or 4 stars. 2-3 stars service. 3-3.5 stars ameneties

Rooms are far from front of hotel. I think it was a motel years ago. Grounds need to be kept better. Bed was fairly comfortable. Again it reminded me of an old motel Not too far from trolley. But not walkable. Would not stay there again.

The air conditioner vent was filthy. I asked house keeping to clean it, for some reason they did not. I ended up doing it myself. There was a ridiculous amount of dirt and what appeared to be a piece of a cookie in it. I'm sure the towel I used had to be thrown away. This hotel also charges $19 a day for parking. I probably used my parking card twice during a 4 day stay. The gates would just open without them. I also had visitors just drive in and out at will. Why the charge for parking? Other ... Read more
