"My family and I took our 1st trip to San Diego and of course had to see the regular tourist things to do...i.e. Zoo and Sea World. I was pleasantly surprised by the location of this hotel to all of the sights including Gaslamp District and the attractions. I was not impressed by the use of comforters in the room, prefer duvets and better bedding, but always plenty of towels and bath products satisfactory. The breakfast included is nice, loved making our own waffles! Parking was $7.95 per night which I expected but on Sat night we came home late and found NO parking anywhere and had to park on the street. The hotel was kind enough to NOT charge for that night. The hotel was OK especially considering the price, but needs some overall TLC. The staff were very kind and helpful. NO shuttle to the amusement parks either, apparently their shuttle has been broken down...no cost to park at the Zoo but expensive at Sea World and at Disneyland. Would I stay again...yes if taking the kids, but NO if just my husband and I. We prefer a little bit nicer accommodations. "

"We had a great stay in San Diego. We stayed 3 nights at the Comfort Inn. It's a nice hotel with a small pool and hot tub. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff was great! They let me borrow the computer at the check-in desk to save on the fees they charge for the business center. I left my car keys at the counter while using the computer and when I came down after about 5 hours, they had my keys for me at the desk. We paid for parking although you can park for free on the street. We were about a 2 minute drive to Fashion Valley Mall and Mission Valley Mall which have great places to eat.
The only negatives are that it is very close to the freeway so without fan noise it can get loud. Also, the air conditioning unit was very loud. Sounded like a helicopter.

"I absolutely loved this place. Nice location as it seemed to be within a reasonable drive off of the highway to key attractions. It was great to not have to drive across San Diego to go to the Harbor. However, it can be a little tricky a commute if you don't have GPS and must travel along Hotel Circle Drive.

The Staff were helpful is providing a list of eats and attractions nearby and the continental breakfast is a real treat. Not a small table full of donuts and oranges. It was an actual breakfast room/cafeteria with hot food, lots of variety which was a plus.

The things I didn't like is that the outdoor parking lot is very narrow so if you have a large vehicle, minivan, or truck it would be a pain so parking in the garage is best. "
