Stayed here for 3 nights and the staff has been very helpful. The breakfast is really good and has a lot of choices, including several waffle stations so no lines. Avoid having to pay the $13 parking fee per day by parking on the street in front of the hotel. Avoid a room on the 4th floor near breakfast room since halls are noisy in the morning. Our room faces the highway and we can hear all the traffic so ask for a room opposite the freeway. We'll stay here again. Great location near Old Town, ... Read more

My family recently stayed in this property. They advertise as a 3 time award winning hotel. Maybe so, 20-25 years ago. The carpet was filthy. This is a old hotel. The A/C and Heat in 4 of our 6 rooms would not work. The owners need to put some money back into this place. The employees were friendly and helpful, but the rest was a bad experence. Oh, and be ready to pay for parking. This hotel is now on my never to do again list!

We stayed for three nights while visiting San Deigo. Hotel is old and tired & undergoing refurbishment. My main problem was breakfast or lack of it. There was hardly any food available. They kept running out of yougarts etc. and this was before the really busy times. The queue is always long and the room cramped. Parking is expensive too. I'm sure there are much better choices in San Deigo.

I have stayed at this hotel many times because they have room for 5 people and it is a convient location. This will be my last time. They are undergoing renovation which is something that has to be done in spite of the inconvience to travelers. We stayed in a renovated room and the one positive thing I can say is it is a nice room. Now for the negatives. I am here for two nights and wish I could cancel the second night. The parking situation here has always been bad but now it is horrible. They... Read more

Stayed here on a winter visit to San Diego. The rooms are fun in that they have bunk beds for the kiddos. There is a sliding glass door between the bunk room and the bedroom but overall the rooms are fairly small. The place is good for the price and location but it is dated and not the cleanest. The breakfast room is cramped but serves the purpose of filling bellies and moving on to better things for the day. Parking is tight and there is am additional charge for it. We wound up parking on the s... Read more

We where very disappointed with our stay at the Comfort Inn. Firstly, our non smoking room (apparently all rooms are non smoking) had a terrible strong smell of smoke. Thankfully we where able to change rooms, however, the second room did have a half used shampoo bottle in the bathroom and was situated under the breakfast room and you could hear every footstep above. The breakfast room was disgusting. We understand that the room was undergoing renovations but that should not stop things from ... Read more

The hotel is not too bad, rooms are nice size, but our stay was spoiled by breakfast served outside on a parking lot! I booked this hotel to have full breakfast in the hotel, but it was not possible to enjoy it. One toaster for tons of people. There is no information about that on their website or when you check in, so you can decide if you still want to stay there.

Nice hotel, central to everything. Room was always clean and comfortable. Small refrigerator in the room was nice to have. Stayed 7 days I would go back. 4th floor under remodel for a new breakfast dinning room. Breakfast served in the under cover parking area while we were there, not too bad. Breakfast pretty much the same every day. Hot tub jets not working the whole week. Only bad thing, coffee every morning was the worst tasting and I can drink almost anything. Hotel staff really nice.

Was there November 11-13 and it wasn't the best experience. The food was served outside in what looked like a car port. Both mornings I woke up to no hot water in my room. Had to wait almost an hour from when I called till I could take a shower (glad I wasn't in a hurry). Not sure how many rooms are there but there was only one elevator working. The parking is lousy unless you drive a Volkswagen bug or a smart car. I won't mention the one roach I had to kill climbing up the wall.
