I had already paid for this room before hand so I wouldn't have any problems. When I got there I was put in room #218 right next door to a family with loud, rude, rambunctious kids in it. I called Vanessa, the front desk clerk, to tell her and ask for another room. She told me if I didn't like it I can get my crap and check out. I told her that was not going to happen when I paid ahead of time. She told me to get out and I can get my money the best way I Know how. Then she told me she woul... Read more

You get what you pay for, you have free wifi, a place to lay your head at night and a "complimentary breakfast." The ones who complain about being "discriminated" are more then likely, seedy individuals that are offended because they cant get what they want. On a positive note, the front desk lady, Vanessa was extremely nice and courteous. She provided me with answers to all my questions and graciously does her job when required.

This inn is in a good location because there are so many stores nearby! You have Target, Old Navy, Forever 21, In & Out Burger, Starbucks, and so much more, all in walking distance! They were all a 10 minute or less walk. If you want to go to the beach, it only cost us on average $7 for an uber or lyft ride. Even the zoo and Sea World were very close. It seems to be in the middle of it all. Be warned, those traveling with men, there is a strip club directly across the street. An Ihop next door i... Read more

We stayed here in February for two nights. The first night was fine we didn't notice anything wrong. The second bought my girls woke me up because there was bugs in the bed. I got up and saw the huge bed bugs. The night time staff confirmed was bedbugs and switched us rooms. I talked to morning staff and contacted owner. Seemed as they don't care. Never heard back from owner no compensation from them. I had to throw away my luggage expensive clothes very unhappy just hope it doesn't get i... Read more

Yes to all reading this this is a budget motel so please do not expect 5 star accomodations! You want that there are plenty of hotel to choose from. Vanessa at the front desk sets this place apart. Her infectious smile and jovial mood will start your vacation off right. Vanessa thank you for the great stay!

We were here for one night before a conference on Coronado. We needed a suite for two adults and our 17 year old. The room was great for what we needed. It is definitely not fancy. We were not impressed with the hotel restaurant's food but it had a great view and friendly servers.

We stayed at Bay Inn Suites while we were in San Diego. The room looked clean and the staff was quite helpful and accommodating with our luggage that we had to temporarily store in their back office. One thing I just would like to comment on for improvement is their carpet that really needs shampooing. I was really surprised when I saw my husband's soles blackened after walking barefoot in the room. That's why I told my family not to walk barefoot there. The same black stain, I had to remove fro... My family and I stayed here for my son's football tournament. Total of 5 days. It is a bit dated but the new manager is working hard to improve it. He is very helpful and polite. Location is great for the price, cheapest I found. There are retail stores such as Target and Ross nearby as well as different restaurants. It is less than 10 minutes away from mission beach. I would recommend.

This establishment was so gross. I was relived that I brought cleaning tools along. I wiped down the bathroom and sink area, and it was apparent no one had cleaned the area before we checked in. There was hair, toothpaste, and dirt found upon my quick clean up turned long. The room had a run down appearance and service was minimal. The only thing that made the stay not completely horrible was that there was a target located nearby. You get what you pay for here. Also, there was a strip club acro... Read more

The location is within 3 miles of the I-5 and 805 freeways. There are numerous shops and food choices in the immediate area, restaurants, fast food abound. Target and a shopping center including a Ross and Ralphs (grocery store) plus a variety of eateries is located across the street, very convenient if you arrive and find you need different or more clothing. Being across the street from a grocery store helps a budget for meals and snacks. The room had a microwave and minifridge. The police arri... Read more

So, this is not a motel that I would have ever booked. However, my friends and I were in SD for a quick night and one of my friends was in charge of finding a place to stay. We are definitely budget travelers and the Bay Inn was cheap and conveniently located for our plans. When we pulled in to the motel, I was terrified and said there was no way I was staying there. However, it was better than my (very low) expectations. The rooms are tiny, a bit cramped, and not the cleanest. However, the shee... Read more

I made the mistake of staying here with my service dog! My first warning should have been when the desk help reacted negatively when he saw my service dog and in a rather snotty tone told me that I would be charged if the dog made a mess. I checked out the next day after no problems only to find a few days later, my card was charged an extra $20.00 because I 'threw away a towel and it smelled like dog urine'. My service dog is trained to not have accidents in the 'house'. BEWARE!!! STAY ELS... Read more
