La Quinta here is not up the standards of others where we have stayed like Sandpoint, Idaho. The room had a musty smell, which we could not clear even when leaving the door open. Other that that, it was OK, although several restaurants on Hospitality Drive have closed, perhaps because the city has installed barriers making it difficult to make a left turn.

Carpet was filthy, shower was old and had to reattach drainage parts. Smoke from other rooms permeated into my room. Smelt like a stale ashtray. Loud housekeeping staff. Hookers roaming parking lot and knocking on door soliciting. The only positive I can give is it has a pool.

The room was comfortable enough and most importantly, clean with respective complimentary shampoo and soap. Bathroom was clean as well. We were given a room with double beds, additionally equipped with flatscreen tv, mini-fridge, microwave, hair blower and coffee maker. Situated on 3rd floor, for which the hotel had an Elevator (in our case was most necessary). Rooms are accessed through the outside of the hotel. Breakfast was free, Continental of sorts with cereal, milk, coffee, bread, eggs, o... Read more

Where does one even start? It smelled horrible! There were drunks walking around. The front desk clerk was extremely unprofessional! I walked in the room and immediately walked right back out! It smelled like an old ash tray. We drove across the country from California to Florida and this was by far the worst hotel that I have ever stepped foot in. We ended up staying in the Best Western across the street.

Although the hotel could use an update, rooms are clean and the area is terrific. Lots of restaurants and they allow small dogs. Staff is very friendly and they offer a light buffet breakfast. Very good value for the price. Especially for seniors.

Stayed for 4 nights. Had a room right next to the back entrance to the lobby. Cigarette butts outside my room all the time and never cleaned up. Could hear every conversation outside. Small room. The only protein at breakfast was packaged hard boiled eggs. No laundry room or fitness center. I felt like I'd been sent back to 1970 and I don't believe this hotel has been refurbished since then. The only positive note is that the bed was comfortable. I had to wear earplugs to sleep though. ... Read more

We requested a non-smoking room, however we were clearly given a smoking room (odor, smoke stains in ceiling, ashtray). Odor was very strong and made our allergies act up. Front desk was very apologetic and offered to spray deodorizer. When I asked about being issued a smoking room I was told that "they know they are not suppose to smoke, but they do it anyway." After 3 hours, and no positive results from the deodorizer, I inquired about a refund and I was told that I could cancel my stay fo... Read more

Dirty, smelly, rude I'm surprised we didn't come home with diseases... That hotel was hideous. Room 304 needs to be remodeled. Mold everywhere. The staff were lazy, the towels smelled. The "complimentary breakfast was as if they used one of the staff members lunches and fed it to the patrons. Thank God there was an IHOP next door

Unless you like perverts, drugs, gangs and prostitution you better not spend your money on this place. Everywhere you walk there is a different smell in the air. We were charged full price for checking out 30 minutes late. Very disappointing!

Because we checked in at around 1 am, the last available room is a smoking room. Either we take it or find another hotel within the area. we decided to take the room as my daughter has a college orientation early in the morning. As expected, the room has a cigarette scent bad enough that you do not want to stay inside. The carpet is worn out, the appliances and the linen looked that they were not cleaned to its best. You are scared to use the bathroom to get infected. The front desk and the park... Read more

Preface: I didn't stay in this hotel so I can't comment on anything beyond the lobby and the awful not-quite-check-in experience. This weekend, some friends and I drove all the way down to San Bernardino from the bay area for a one-night music event. One friend booked the hotel back when the event was first announced in the spring so that we could get a reasonably priced room near the venue before other concert-goers started booking. Cut to this Saturday afternoon, July 16, arriving to 100 deg... Read more

These rooms are pretty big & include closets, which you don't find too often. The towels are big and soft which, after a recent stay at motel 6, was a very big plus for me! There isn't a refridgerator in the room, but they have a good continental breakfast that stays available for a pretty long time. They have an elevator that actually works and vending on every floor. The employees aren't all nosey & in your business. They allow you your privacy; no cameras stalking your every move... probably ... Read more

Friendly, efficient staff. Reception area, parking lot, and room were extremely dirty. Breakfast was minimal; packaged foods. Decent coffee. Good Location. Several restaurants close by. Our most recent stays at LaQuinta - Hesperia and Las Vegas several times were much, much better.

I travel alot, so finding a smoking room in California is odd to me these days. Usually the second you cross the border the sign says "Welcome to California-NO SMOKING!" I remember back in the day they would ask, smoking or non smoking room? But lately every hotel I stay in is a non smoking room, and even some hotels dont even allow smoking on the grounds at all. So imagine my surprise when I wasnt even asked if I wanted smoking or non smoking and just given a smoking room. I forgot how disgusti... Read more

After a bad experience with some Best Westerns on our usual S. California-Arizona trips, we tried out La Quinta because we had a good stay in a La Quinta in St. George, UT. Be aware! Quality at the Quintas varies tremendously. Cons: First, beware of the bus lanes in S.B., on the left lane of Hospitality Lane. Stay out of them as you come off I-10 and try to get into the hotel by doing a U-turn. It's confusing for out of towners. Cons: Not the best neighborhood, street people around. Building rem... When we walked into our room we saw that the beds weren't made; the linens were sitting there as if the housekeeper thought "I'll finish it tomorrow" and took off. I went to call the front desk but saw the phone was broken and not even plugged in. The alarm clock was also dead and the room smelled like smoke. Went to the front desk and she was polite and apologetic; got us a new room. Upgraded us which meant we got a mini fridge and microwave! This room also smelled like cigarettes but we w... Read more

Price was a big factor for us staying at this hotel. We checked in 5pm and and check out at 8am so short and sweet stay check in was easy. Pool was your normal, the breakfast in not good it consist of bag waffles that you hit up in a a toaster milk and juice. Will we stay yes for the right price. Don't spect to pay under $100 and have a four seasons resort stay if you want a decent clean room with a shower this should work.

I am surprised that this is still a La Quinta. It is in a severe need of remodeling. I was very disappointed in the overall cleanliness and condition of the room. It is in a good location but that is it. I would not stay here again.

The room rate was very good but the breakfast area is way too small for the size of the facility and hotel does not have any laundry facilities which disappointed me. There was one day that the room was not cleaned but that didn't really worry me.

Dangerous hotel for a single person or even with someone else. Drug dealers, gangs, prostitute's at hotel. Everything was dirty and unsanitary. Stay somewhere else-there are a lot of other hotels that at least you would feel safe in.

What an absolute dogpile of a hotel! If you are traveling for business avoid this hotel like the plague. If you think you're getting a great deal and it really isn't a big difference in quality from a Hilton, Marriott, or Hyatt, you'll be mistaken. I ended up here because my company's travel agency Egencia recommended the hotel. I'm positive the only reason for the recommendation was the low price. I won't allow the system to make that mistake for me again. Location: The hotel is actually i... Read more

La Quinta is a very family friendly hotel, it's locations are always careful and economical. I am greatful to this chain for it's pet policies. That being the greatest service provided , the staff is freindly and professional, I feel comfortable approaching the staff and if anything needed to be fixed I could make an inquiry.

As we entered San Bernardino on IS-10, I checked the navigation system for a La Quinta nearby. The closest one was located on Hospitality so I pressed the call icon on the dashboard. When answered, the individual (male) was rude and abusive. He immediately placed us on hold. While on hold, we were lucky enough to hear the LQ recording tell us how important our call was . . . over and over. Agitated, after a long day of driving through dust storms and very high winds, I continued to drive t... Read more

I will never book at La Quinta again. I booked a deluxe double queen room with a refrigerator and microwave but was given a king with no fridge or microwave. They could not change my room because they were full. The room smelled horrible, nauseatingly horrible!! I received no apologies and all they could say was they could spray the room. Front desk staff did not show that they cared at all. The room smelled so bad that when we left the room you could still smell the odor on our clothes!! I am d... Read more

Parked outside of our room after check-in, and was intantly apprehensive to stay at the hotel. Someone must have been living in one of the hotel rooms and all her stuff was piled outside door & her family was waiting for someone to pick them up. We were approached about buying illegal substances before entering our room. Once inside, the place smelled horrible. We quickly went back to front desk & asked for a refund as we won't be staying there. Front desk was very helpful.

I stayed here for four nights during a business trip, and I am happy to say it fulfilled my expectations. I have stayed at many La Quinta's before and they have always offered a good value. This property, like the many others, offers a nice, clean room at a decent price. The beds were comfortable, the service was good, and whole building was well maintained. The hotel is located in a business district near the freeway which makes it very convenient for a multi-day stay, and it was very quiet... Read more
