All I can say is that the lighting in the ad's pictures must have been fantastic because the reality was nothing like the image. I actually drove by the hotel twice because I was in disbelief this was the hotel I booked. Even though I drove around two times, I never was able to discern the lobby entrance. Finally, I parked in the shown parking stalls and they were small, cramped and not well-maintained. Also, there were transients occupying one of the stalls. From the parking garage, there w... Ok, this place is a 2 star motel, so don't expect the Ritz, but for being a motel in downtown Sacramento, I found it to be the best value around and have stayed here on two separate occasions. The rooms, though a little dark, were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The internet is fast. The staff was very friendly. The complimentary breakfast had a number of options. And the location is very convenient. I could literally walk to everywhere I had to go in Sacramento, except the airport (which is a... Read more

Free parking & 1-1/2 blocks to the convention center made it an easy walk to my convention all week. Clean & comfortable rooms, a little on the small side but very adequate. Nice room, comfortable bed, granite walled shower and granite counter top sink. Plenty of outlets for charging. Just because it's downtown, there seem to be a lot of gates and security measures, which the ladies in our group were spooked by, but it also makes you feel secure once inside the gates. Nice restaurants within w... Read more

The opportunity for a Suite certainly appealed, but the reality, which was not revealed in photos, did not. The door opens onto a table-dresser-fridge-bathroom sink space with an adjunct cubby containing a stained couch and tv screen. The light/fan in the bathroom is very loud. It was a relief to check out early. Staff onsite were lovely!

I drove by the hotel twice, because I didn't realize that the lobby area entrance was IN THE ALLEY! What??? That's crazy. Terrible spot and awful structure that has been remodeled in each suite. So the insides of the rooms were ok, but still did not feel safe here.. Parking was VERY tight, and transients were wandering around at all times of the night. I wouldn't stay here again, even though the customer service was awesome. I should have taken a picture of this place, but the thought never en... Read more

This was an ok stay. Don't get me wrong, it just wasn't special at all. The mattress was very high and made it hard to get in and out of bed. I suppose some prefer it that way. It is right downtown, 1 block from the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. It was clean. The front desk clerk wasn't friendly or nice, but she did her job. Breakfast was fine. The price wasn't as advertised but what's $10 these days?

We booked two rooms at this hotel because we and our daughter were attending an event nearby. I had a wonderful banter with Francis at the front desk. Both the rooms were clean and comfortable with good AC. The high bed was fine for us. Lots of eateries in the immediate area so no need to drive. Don't know Sacramento well but this area appeared to have a number of homeless people around which could make some people uncomfortable. The Inn has secured all the off-street access to non-guests.

I traveled for business to Sacramento and the location is great in downtown. The staff was very helpful. Room was comfortable, clean but not pristine with coffee machine. A basic breakfast was included, Excellent price. If what you need is just a place to sleep and get on, its a great option.

Went to music circus night show. Exhausted from the week and didn't want to drive an hour home. Super comfortable bed, clean, quiet, according worked well. Usually stay only in 3 or 4 star hotels. We were very happy. Had heavy hors d'oeuvre at chaise lounge very tasty and empty. Yes the office is hard to find with no signage.

I recently attended a professional event, but as a retiree did not want to spend a lot of money on a one-night hotel stay. (Miss having an expense account!) The Quality Inn Downtown Sacramento was recommended. The price was right and the location was close to event venues. This place is great! Single queen room is spacious, comfortable (albeit simple), and extraordinarily clean. Bathroom is huge and well appointed for both mobility and handicapable. Room rate included breakfast which include... Read more

Weekend getaway with my family. Hotel is standard - nothing made a particularly positive impression. There was no parking spaces available at the hotel, so I had to park in a garage and drag my suitcase up the street to the hotel - a little unexpected. Guy at the counter got is checked in efficiently.

Good QPR for a business traveler who needs to stay within per diem. While I did not partake, the breakfast buffet included in the room rate looked quite bountiful and fresh, and better than expected. The room decor is simple but the bed was comfortable and free wifi worked. Appreciated having a fridge in the room with a freezer compartment. Not that hot the day we were there, but the covered parking still came in handy. Front desk clerk was having a bad day, when we checked in, I think as she ... Read more

My room was a basic and clean room with a king bed. It's not a new property and clearly shows its age, but the location makes it very convenient to walk downtown and towards the Capitol. The staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was typical of other business hotels. There were a few negatives including: the bottom drawer of my dresser had been pushed or kicked in enough to get it stuck in the closed position, the elevator was not working at the time which make it necessary to haul lugga... My first concern in a place is cleanliness; this place was clean and fresh. Smallish room was fine for one person, and I love to have microwave and refrigerator (with freezer) in my room- also a good hair dryer and iron. I loved the big shower, hated the short toilet. Air conditioner was a bit noisy, but kept the room pleasantly cool. Bed was comfortable but high; my 5'3" mom would have had to have a step-stool to get in to it so I'm not likely to stay there when she's along. The elevator was ou... Read more

We had one Wednesday to spend in downtown Sacramento on our way to San Francisco. Although it was a weekday, most motels nearby charge $170 or more per night. So we settled on Quality Inn, which cost much less than other places. The outside looks a bit dingy and the elevator was not working because of repair. We had to walk up stairs to the third floor. To our pleasant surprise, the room was very clean and the bed was firm but comfortable covered with a pillow top. The shower is roomy and mod... Read more

This was the worst experience ever. Checked in the room through hotels.com, room was infested with cockroaches, Hotel refuse to let me check out and give a refund even though I booked through hotels.com, the representation from hotel.com in the Philippines made me fight with the hotel and would not take responsibility to reimbursing me or transferring me to another hotel. Two hours later I finally get a voucher that I can use within a year. But still charged for the room. Can you believe this? C... Read more

This was the worst experience ever! First, I booked this hotel through Hotel.com and once I showed up to the Hotel and checked into my room, there were "cockroaches" crawling on the night stand near the bed. I immediately called Hotel.com since I did the booking through them requesting a refund or an immediate transfer to another hotel as I was definitely not going to stay there. I was transferred to a gal in the Philippines through hotel.com and she barely spoke English. However, what was extre... Read more
