It seems like they try to go out of their way to help ans serve the guests. The front desk and reception was a good experience. The rooms were nice. The hotel was quiet enough to rest and recover from a full day of driving. Kind of on the fringe of a rough side of town. Good thrift stores, nice new wal-mart and golfing were close. Good place to pass through. Decent small gym with a few machines and no weights. Pool is outdoors and well kept. We happened to be there on a day when the hote... Read more

The hotel is managed well and the rooms are clean. Some updating could be done in rooms. The food is fresh and well attended. When I arrive they are very helpful and make sure all my needs are met. Location is good for business trips and close to food.

Always clean facility, a good gym and pool. Usual hotel breakfast with biscuits and gravy every morning. They have a customer appreciation meal and beer/wine on Tuesday night and Wednesday at the Hampton next door. Always a great stay I've stayed here more than 25 times!

Suite was spacious, with fridge and microwave. Free wi-fi. The real highlight was the breakfast room/lounge. Very spacious and inviting, with wingback chairs and sofas. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, many more choice than typical, including some yummy hot cinnamon buns. Gym is minimal, 3 machines, TV. Pool is basic, no hot tub. Nice conference facilities.

It was a Non smoking hotel. The breakfast was super and had many varieties to choose from. For those on a low carb diet, there was sausage and an egg and cheese omelet available. The room was nice, clean and very roomy. The hotel staff was very friendly and the maid service very good.

I choose this hotel for two reasons...I need parking for my RV and it's an IHG member. Aside from that, choose another IHG hotel - the downtown Holiday Inn Express is wonderful!! But, just car parking. I was here 8 nights, and not one night did all the channels on my TV work. I went down three times, three different days (after that I gave up), and told them NBC and ABC did not work. They told me there were so many in the hotel that the channels wouldn't come in for all the guests. I am an ... Read more

I was just having a brief reunion with a friend. We enjoyed the pool in very hot 100 degree weather. The property was very neat with lots of parking spaces. It must be a popular place for the travelers because the parking lot was full. The swimming pool was cool and refreshing. The front desk gave us a map with about 20 restaurants located nearby. I had to get a snack so I went down to their Sundry Room where they had chips, candy, granola bars, and cold drinks. It was an honor system but... Read more

Picked this motel for it's location out of AAA book - shown as 3 diamond. I would have rated it as a 2 diamond. Other Holiday Inn Express motels I have stayed in tended to be a bit more upscale than this one. The motel is very close to Fwy. 80, so convenient for that location, but has sort of a Freeway/Industrial atmosphere. The premises seem to be clean but give the appearance of needing some upgrades for carpeting - paint, etc. - very drab. The room appeared clean with the biggest negati... Read more

I travel for business and walked in exhausted. Cheerful front desk, extra helpful in every way, which was much appreciated! Needed directions which they provided, I had to work there and everything was in good order for me.

Booked through Hotwire so I didn't know what I was getting, but it had a 100% satisfaction rate and a reasonably low room rate. We had come from an entire day of traveling and were not planning to spend the night in Sacramento but got stuck here due to exhaustion. After reading the reviews I can vouge for the breakfast. I'm sitting in my room eating a turkey sausage biscuit right now-yum! Because I was worried they might run out of the good stuff I went down around 630 to get breakfast for m... Read more

We booked this hotel through a 3rd party agency the day we arrived in Sacramento . The hotel looks fairly new or recently renovated, was very clean and well maintained. Located next to I-80 for easy access, noise was not an issue. We stayed for 4 nights including a Friday and Saturday, the hotel was full but the staff did a great job of not making it feel that way. Our room was attended to each day very thoroughly. Breakfast was included and was very good with a change of offerings each day.... Read more

Visit the Holiday in July 25-31. Had a really great visit. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. If you wish to switch it up run on over to the Hampton Inn next door. Easy access to down town. Room was clean. Hotel mgmt accommodating. I would stay again if I'm in the Sacramento area.

The front desk is great and helpful. Employees are great. Be careful for security. Claims he owns this place and will harass u if your sitting outside or in swimming pool gates. Asked me if I was a guest and questioned me like he was the police. Showed him my room key where he stated there are thousands of those keys. That never good when old keys can open up hotels doors still. He is a man who feels the need to question people for no reason.

Our son was getting married out of state! So we booked several rooms for our family to attend the wedding. We loved staying at this hotel! Jamie and Joseph helped with our every need. They even had a special sign and treats at the check in desk to welcome our guests. Loved our rooms, the pool, and our daily breakfast! Thanks for making this trip so wonderful!

This hotel must be new-everything was sparkly and clean! Minimal interactions with the staff, but they were pleasant. Breakfast was surprisingly good for this class of hotel, including hot cinnamon rolls and gluten free options. Let's talk about the location. We saw several reviews that made us nervous about the location, I think they need to get out more often. If you're coming from the freeway, it's about 100 feet from the exit. The parking lot was well-lit with another well-lit hotel directly... Read more

Just got into California after a cross country drive and stopped for the night in Sacramento. Motel prices there are a bit higher than other places but the motel was nice and the breakfast was good as we have come to expect at Holiday Inn Express. We were particularly impressed with the excellent service we received from Francisco at the front desk. We arrived very late at night and he was most helpful and friendly. We really appreciated his cheerful attitude and his assistance.

This hotel is very nice....clean, new and the staff was very friendly. The neighborhood is not good....I ate in the room. Menu's are provided so that you can call out for food. The breakfast was good and they leave a newspaper for Priority Club members each morning. The room prices are very reasonable and the parking lot is well lit.

Very satisfied with hotel as it was new and very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable and I was able to get a good night's rest following a very long drive. I felt safe and parking area was well lit. Breakfast provided was very good. Only disappointed that at the time of arrival I did not have my IHG # with me and was not able to receive a discount using my AARP or AAA cards. Thus, although a Priority Club member, I did not receive the free "USA Today" newspaper. I later was able to receiv... Read more

This Holiday Inn Express is probably one of the best if not the best Iā??ve ever stayed in. Good location right off the highway. The only problem with the location is that there are no supporting businesses like restaurant, clubs, department stores, entertainment venues or gas stations near to the hotel. The staff and owner were friendly, courteous and helpful. The owner even gave a meet the owner night with free food and drinks for the hotel guess. The hotel has an outdoor pool, appeal parking ... It's an express so there is not much to expect. It's a bit run down, but not bad. Beds were clean. However, I would not put the room through the black light test as I had no other choice but to stay there for five nights, and I was afraid of what I would find. Staff were real nice people. Some of the features of the hotel are a bit of a stretch. There is a shuttle parked in front but it might as well be a speed bump as they can not use it. Even if you "schedule" a $20 ride to the airport 48 hour... Read more
