We had a nice room on the fourth floor that was over looking the river. The front desk and valet staff were very friendly, but there is no self parking & its 30 bucks a day. There is a train that frequently goes by the hotel, and it is very loud... Dont plan on taking any mid day naps... We ate at the restaurant twice, and the staff is very, very friendly. The lunch was good, but the breakfast was just ok.

Great first class river view and perfect location to Old Town Sacramento. Easy to get around to all attractions. My son Loved swimming in the indoor pool and hot tub. Fitness center looked nice, I personally did not have time to use this facility. The afternoon complimentary happy hour and snacks was such a wonderful plus for our stay. The staff was very kind and helpful. Yes, we would stay here again.

Nice room overlooking river. Enjoyed evening reception with Sangia as a drink choice. Best part of the stay was the friendly bartender fellow. Upon notiticing that I am a Univ of CO Boulder alumn, he introduced me to a few students headed to CU in the fall. Great personal service. Where the service was lousy was the check in desk. At check in, we were the only people at the desk and there were 3 gals behind the desk. Check in person took 3 calls before she helped us. Other two gals just st... Read more

This was a wonderful place to escape for a week end. In spite of being a graduation week end - the hotel provided excellent service and had enough staff to insure everything stayed stocked and the guests were happy. We dined at the Tower Bistro and highly recommend it. Food was excellent and the staff was attentive. It was a lovely experience. There was a lot going on and the staff made sure the inconvenience to guests was kept to a minimum.

The Embassy Suites was a great choice for the Music Festival. Just steps away from old town every band finds its way to one of the many venues in and around Old Town. The breakfast buffet and made to order omelettes were great.

Location is great right on the river and the very cool bridge and within walking distance of many venues in Old town. Breakfasts were good but returned to the hotel for a night cap on Saturday night and the bar was closed at 11 but it looked like some employees were enjoying a night cap.

A comfortable suite in a building constructed around a sizeable atrium. The bedroom overlooked the freeway, but you could not hear a sound. Ample breakfast, including freshly cooked items. Pretty good free Wi-Fi. A popular evening social event with free drinks. A good location for visiting Sacramento, near to museums, Old Sacramento, as well as downtown and mid-town. Conveniently placed by the river, with a pleasant outlook. Helpful personnel without exception.

I came in late night so I did not get to take the area in fully. I will say my room had a fantastic view of the river, and the room itself was very clean and up-to-date. The staff was very friendly and the food from the restaurant was good. The breakfast provided a great deal of options, but seating can be limited if the hotel is sold out. I would stay here again.

Excellent hotel and excellent location. If traveling with kids, bring your own snacks as the snack shop is rarely open and there are no snack vending machines. Staff was very helpful and kind. Room was very clean (although Housekeeping did not come every day). Best stay in Sacramento with kids.

Checked in online and received my digital key. Stopped by the front desk to verify room number. Staff seemed bothered by the short line. I waited at the HHonors plaque. When it was my turn the women at the counter rudely said you need to come over here! I advised her that I was just verifying my room number. She said the room wasn't ready yet (it was almost 5:00pm) and that she would give me another room. Not really an issue with me but it defeats the online check in process.

Lovely view of the river from our room added to the enjoyment of the stay. Evening reception was delightful and I am sure the breakfast would have been great had we not had to leave before it opened. This was the first time my family stayed at an Embassy Suites and it certainly won't be the last. The free breakfast was great for my family and I liked that it included fresh fruits, yogurt and an omelette bar. The room was clean with no evidence of mildew in the showers. There were cobwebs inside the room, though there were some cobwebs dangling outside of our window facing the road. There is a small indoor pool that clearly has seen lots of use, as evidenced by the food and small trash ... Read more

Atrium style hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Parking is pricey at $30 per night for valet. There's a separate parking structure across the street that will run you from $24 - $48, depending on when you park and when you leave. Separate fee for internet access for up to 3 devices. I have enjoyed staying here each time I've been there however for the price of the room, I think internet access should be included. This hotel is convenient as it is right off the freeway. However, in retrospect, we found cheaper and better accomodations a few miles off the beaten path which we felt were a better deal. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice hotel overall, truly 4 out of 5 stars and I could see some rating it 5. Our room had a sink and refrigerator along with a nice TV with HDMI inputs. Great location along the river and near Old-Town Sac, very nice rooms, quiet and comfortable

This was a great location for exploring Old Town Sacramento, (you're bascially right there) or for a stroll to tour the capitol. We had a bridge view room which was great to get both river and bridge views. One afternoon the bridge alarm sounded and we watched the bridge rise and allow a replica "pirate ship" to sail underneath. We stayed on a weekend. Hotel was full of families and kids soccer teams. Thus breakfast was extremely busy, loud and crowded. My advice, go early to secure seating. W... Read more

I went to the embassy suites while in a school college trip. It was a very nice stay. The breakfast was unbelievable!!!! There was a omelet bar. The chef was amazing. The view from my room was beautiful. I will never forget it!

We have a large family (2 adults and 4 kids) so our choices for hotel are pretty limited. We have stayed at Embassy Suites before and have enjoyed the amenities for families. The rooms are large enough, free hot breakfast and a pool/spa that runs late (11pm). For this stay we were trying to have some fun while our oldest auditioned for DCI (Mandarins). While she was busy we got our free breakfast which was great. Made to order omelettes and pancakes, waffles, bacon, eggs, oatmeal, breakfast bre... Read more

We've stayed at this hotel twice this year for work conference. it's a pleasant stay: front desk, bell desk, valet, room is tidy. Can't complain about anything. I love the breakfast buffet. Great selections before my conference starts, enjoy the fruits and most love the bacon and waffle. Everything was going well as expected until the night before our Saturday all day conference. The President of my firm, his work laptop went missing, and that was the laptop where valuable content were to be use... Read more

Great hotel - very family oriented. Excellent place to see Old town, shopping, train museum, restaurants, Kings game, etc. Best hotel for families and kids. Breakfast is has made-to-order omeletes and hearty buffet style options. Tower Bridge restaurant on-site with bar. All the amenities necessary for parents to split time with kids and get work, fitness, bar time, shopping done. We will stay there every time we visit family in Sacramento.

Close to everything, good breakfast but busy, required expensive valet parking, no free wifi. Even the cheapest hotels have free wifi. We had bikes and we had no problems bringing them in the room. Free drink at the bar during happy hour.

From the time that I checked in until I checked out the following morning, I received excellent customer service from multiple staff members. I was also able to participate in their complimentary happy hour and breakfast which significantly adds to the value. And the hotel is located across the street from where I was working that day. I highly recommend the hotel for the business traveler. It is also great for families as all rooms sleep at least four people.

My family hates being in most hotels but the embassy is always a hit with everyone in my family. If you want them to be happy, take them here. The food in the restuarant in great if you don't want to go anywhere. Valet service is a plus when carrying a bunch of cargo.

Great hotel, great employees and awesome view! You can shop in old town, see the Tower Bridge, view of the river, tons of eateries in walking distance and a few miles from the state capitol. This is the only hotel you need to stay at when you visit Sacramento.
