There are many good hotels but this one has a really good bar. After a long day of working for a different office and being away from home the bar here is perfect for winding down. The bartender, Shonda (Lost the card she gave me), is fast friendly and just great overall. If your drink isn‚??t up to par she will make a new one that is. Who does that these days? A rare keeper who probably doesn‚??t get paid enough. And she makes the best lemon drop I‚??ve ever come across in my travels. If... Read more

Stayed in the hotel for a basketball tournament (was the tournament hotel). Lots of little boys running around -- not the quietest, walls were thin. Check-in took a long time. Area is not the safest, parking is free but not gated/controlled in anyway. A family in our group got their car broken into from the hotel parking lot. They had come in late at night, were tired, and accidentally left a visible iPad in the car --- but there had to be crooks canvassing the cars in the lot to see it and... Read more

I was visiting this hotel for business for around 2 weeks, and it was an overall great experience. ALL of the staff were over the top helpful and friendly. The bartender Cory was so kind and thoughtful it made my entire experience 100x better. She knew me by name from the first time I met her, and I noticed that she knew every person around, and made it her business to go the extra mile for every person. The front desk staff would always check in on me and make sure I was enjoying my experience.... Read more

We booked a conference room for a full day conference. Upon arrival the room was nothing like what we had ordered, but the staff were wonderful. Gladys and Josh were incredible and helped us get everything together.

Booked a room at this hotel for my family (Myself, wife and 2 children) I had Requested King room with Sofa Bed (2 kids can (usually)easily sleep on a sofa bed, right? NOPE! the "sofa bed" in this hotel is a single bed, basically a roll-away. By the way, they have no rollaways either... The staff tried their best and moved us to the local Fairfield Inn (same complex) so we ended up fine but beware.... if you have 4 folks you need 2 actual beds, don't count on the sofa bed.

This Courtyard is very convenient for anything near Cal Expo. It is a easy overnight for business travelers. The check in is quick, pleasant and efficient. If you are a Marriott Rewards member you can check in from your phone way before your arrival. The room was very clean and because we are Rewards members we can request extra pillows, a higher floor and extra trowels. They were all there when we opened the door. Well done Marriott. Importantly, the air conditioning works wonders. We at... Read more

The room was clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, soft at the beginning but firms up after the first two to three inches. The beds cradle and really feel great. Air conditioning runs on a thermostat, was quiet and comfortable. Decor was mid eighties or early nineties. The refrigerator was able to freeze my gel pack. All the towels and face cloths were folded in a scallop pattern, a nice detail. There were lots of electrical outlets right where they were needed, by the bed, ... Read more

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Our daughter was graduating from law school, the whole family was coming to the ceremony, and we needed five rooms. We originally booked a house on AirBnB, far in advance, and about a week before the graduation, AirBnB cancelled our reservation stating that Sacramento zoning laws had changed and they could not longer rent their house. I scrambled to find a hotel, and I was pleased when the Marriott could accommodate us. It ended up being even better ... Read more

I'm writing this review to help you decide if this is the right property for you to visit if you're coming in from out of town for the fair. 1) First off, the property is within walking distance of Cal Expo. The walk takes you under the freeway overcrossing but is only about 15 minutes long. This would save you some money if you would prefer to keep your vehicle parked at the hotel instead of paying for the Cal Expo parking lot ($10.00). 2) The hotel offered a Fair package which my wife and I... We stayed here for a business trip for my company, and the staff was incredibly patient and helpful. For a two night stay, we moved rooms two times (the first room was too close to the highway, the second to the elevator), and each time Randell and the crew listened to our issue and moved us with no questions asked and a smile on their faces. The third (and final) room was perfect. I would recommend anyone looking for great service and an accommodating staff to look no further than this hotel.

We were in town for the USATF National Junior Olympics. Very friendly staff--in particular, Randell, who was the first person to greet us and check us in. Then, he served as a resource for us throughout our stay. He was so patient and friendly--thank you Randell for taking care of us during our stay. Accommodations were nice and clean. Also--special thanks to Alicia who answered our post-stay questions about billing!

This hotel is clean, comfortable, and has an excellent staff. All the staff from the front desk, housekeeping, and repair staff were great. My air conditioner malfunctioned - which could be a disaster in Sacramento during August- but they had it fixed immediately. I stayed for five nights and found the hotel a very comfortable, friendly place.

Starting with making a reservation at this modern hotel, it was super easy. At check-in, the front desk personnel not only had a very friendly greeting for me but allowed me to check in 3 hours early which was very welcome after a long drive. The quiet room (#202) was exceptionally clean and had a pleasant smell. The bed and pillows were perfect for a great night's sleep. The bathroom had the necessary amenities. My husband and I booked this stay close to the airport for an a Early flight out. There are several choices much closer to the airport but our Marriott rewards offered a special price so we booked it. This is one of the best courtyards we have visited recently. Nicely decorated, new and fresh. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Great lounge area. Free parking. Easy on and off the highway. Bathroom was a little on the small size, no counter area.

Our recent stay at the Marriott Courtyard Sacramento Cal Expo turned from comical to frantic to ultimately instructive. We intended to stay at the Marriott Courtyard Sacramento Midtown but we waited too long to make the reservation. The Courtyard Cal Expo was going to be more expensive and a longer drive to our business meeting venue in the state capitol. However, the two hotels have equivalently modern facilities, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. So no harm no foul. Sort of. After a good ni... Read more

I've been on a special project for work that placed me in Sac for several months, every other week. The staff at this Courtyard have been great! We brought a cross country team to Sacramento; utilized 10 rooms. Reservations were easy, communication leading up to the visit was excellent. Check-in took about 30 seconds as the keys were prepared and correctly labeled upon arrival. Rooms were great, breakfast was great, location was great. Overall, a perfect stay for our group. We travel every week or two as a large group, and this was as smooth as any trip we have ever taken.

We stayed here 2 nights. Great location, easy to get everywhere we needed to go. The rooms are large, comfortable beds and overall very clean. The only thing we wished we had was a microwave but we were able to use the one downstairs in the little market. The pool was not heated, so we didn't swim. The Starbucks downstairs was nice to have!

Having not been to Sacrament in about 25 years, I chose this location to stay and I am glad I did. It was conveniently located near the airport, the Sacramento Expo, downtown, Arden Fair, and Old Sacramento. The check in was super-quick, and my compadres and I ended up eating dinner in the little cafe near the lobby. I was skeptical about that, but honestly, the food was way better than I expected. Salads were fresh, the pizza was good, and the roast beef sandwich was delicious. The portion... Read more

I did not sleep well here. The room was clean but had a musty feel. The A/C helped some but was too noisy to leave on overnight. A passing train blew a horn every half hour but the room did come with earplugs so I'm sure this is not news to management. The downstairs 'Bistro' was fast food burgers, etc.

I was staying in a neighboring Marriott property for 4 nights last week. I came to the bar at the Courtyard for a bite to eat. I met Cory, who introduced herself and took my order. She always seemed a step ahead of our needs, remembered all our names and went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent experience!

As a loyal Marriott fan, I have never been more disappointed in any experience. Marriott is my first choice. Traveling frequently for both business and pleasure, I've had the pleasure of staying at many Marriott brands in many different locations. This visit was a nightmare. Decent hotel in the wrong place. Just passing through and needed a night's sleep. Nice staff, nice well kept rooms, good parking. Conveniently located next to the busy noisy highway and freight train tracks. Oooh, the tooting. And, our hotel wing has an elevator that vibrates the whole building especially in the morning during the mad rush out the place (south wing).
