The hotel is in the middle of "renovation" that was NOT mentioned when I called to ask for a "quiet" room. The construction was going on until 7pm. Also the parking lot looked like a garbage dump with at least three large areas covered with construction debris. My room was depressing with dust and stains on the ceiling, bottom sheet and a towel. The lights were so dim I had to take off the lamp shades to see at night. There was a sky light near the sink area that looked like it was plastic(!... Read more

So stopped in for 1 night as I was passing through the area . From the outside it looks sort of dark . Was greated nicely by front desk and noted that there is ground floor parking and access to the room is through a secure door for elevator which is good Rooms are being upgraded and I had a great new room with a outstanding bed Across the street is a old time favorite called Harry's hofbrou . Outstanding food and bar Will return for sure !

Hotel is under remodel so they are trying to get better but have a very long way to go. Room is nice, but the room is at best worth $100.00 not $200.00. When we checked in the owner was in the lobby talking loudly with contractors totally ignoring that they were too low and we could even converse with the desk clerk. The room has a new shower surround and the shower head still hits me in the stomach. Great if you are 4 ft tall. The ceiling has stain marks from a previous roof leak and t... Read more

Completely accommodating hotel! I booked a reservation last minute day of, used points to offset the cost and even called the front desk to ask for a little help. They were completely kind and welcoming, especially accommodating while under construction. Thank you!

Hotel is under renovation in the lobby. Rest of the hotel and rooms are in acceptable condition. Bathroom tub caulking stained. Sink didn't drain properly. The standard Comfort Inn breakfast was below average, waffle batter was not correct which affected cooking. Hotel was quiet, rooms were off the street. Ask for a room on the south side that faces the Holiday Inn. North side faces a neighborhood which had music playing. Cost was high for a Comfort Inn, but being close to Palo Alto and ... Read more

This hotel is still under renovation. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We arrived at 2:15 p.m. after a long day flying from the East Coast. The desk clerk refused to let us check in before 3 p.m..This is very contrary to my experience with Choice Hotels. Our daily room service was excellent. The morning breakfast was very acceptable ,but more attention should be paid to sanitation standards.I believe there are something like 16 chairs in the breakfast room,so when this hotel is fully bo... Place is okay. The AC unit sucks. Its range is large so it does not maintain the room that well. Noisy. The room seemed clean, and you get a lot of pillows. There is not a main switch for lights which is a pain. The TV is not HD. I did not see a directory either. The 3rd floor rooms have skylights which will wake you up in the morning. The area can be noisy. The shower sucks. The head is low so if you are over 5 foot or so, you will be bending. You have to reach under the spout in pull thi... Read more

Rooms are clean and partially redecorated. Room lighting is really poor. The real problem are the amenities. There is no high speed internet -- everyone knows that Ovation networks are very poor ISP providers; no high definition television and a lack of multiple TV stations; and, the air-conditioning goes on in the daytime but is over-ridden at night. The breakfast assortment is poor at best. We would not stay again.

I Stayed here 4 days on a business trip recently to the area. The front desk clerks were great! Friendly & professional...I arrived a little earlier than the posted check in time, and they found me a ready room with no problem. The room was on the 3rd floor and West facing, so it was very quiet. Though a but warm in the afternoon with the setting sun blasting in the windows. The bed was comfy and the room had a small fridge & microwave. The bathroom was large, but the shower head was a bit low f... Read more

Stayed here four nights while on business trip to area. Great location in central Redwood City, not far from Stanford U. Front desk clerks cheerful and fairly efficient. Hotel was, ostensibly, under renovation, so furniture piled all over parking area and hallways. Tight parking spaces. Asked for and was assigned second floor room, at end of hallway, was very quiet. Door closers on door so minimal late night and early morning slamming by inconsiderate guests. My King Room was clean. Shower was ... Read more

So I have stayed here probably about 5 times in the last year and stayed on the third floor and overall thought it was quiet and clean and nice The third floor rooms have skylights so if light wakes you up don't stay on that floor . I have found this to be one of the most quiet places I have stayed at in a while . All the rooms are inside corridors This time : My room was on the second floor and the room was not clean and it looked like the whole place needed to be scrubbed . There were s... Read more

Stayed one night on my interview for Stanford MD residency program and was devoured by bedbugs. Ended up in ED on steroids and had to get exterminated at house since they hitched a ride home! Spoke to Julia at desk who was rude and then promised to have manager call me and guess what? Never heard a word back. She told me "we don't have bed bugs- u must have gotten them from someone who stayed in the room". Wha????

My daughters and I stayed there part of one night, but we left before dawn after I was bitten several times by bedbugs. Called the front desk and they were apologetic, but offered no other assistance for us, as they had no other rooms to accommodate the three of us. So we were stuck trying to find a place to stay, which we eventually did after being without a hotel for about ten hours. The incident ruined my vacation, as I was intensely itching for the entire time. I emailed the corporate offic... Read more

The ged was comfortable and I was well rested (as one can be on a business trip). WiFi was not good. It cut out frequently and made it impossible to stream even a half hour show without interruption. Breakfast choices were good for the hotel price...choices comparable to a Hampton. Downtown Redwood City doesn't have any decent dining choices. McDonalds was the best thing around, and it's right across the street.

Hotel is located in a nice location. Staff is all Indian, looks like from same region of India. Very bad service, very arrogant guys. Especially to Indians they treat very bad, whenever Indians go go for breakfast they stand to keep watch, while they are eating. Hotel management must be Indian, all house keeping, reception are Indians, I would recommend to avoid this hotel unless they have good staff. Breakfast in this hotel is crap that too Indian guys keep a watch over what and how much peop... Read more
