We arrived without a reservation and the first person to join us was Pablo Villatoro, yes he even offered his name when we drove up. This guy would be a gem in any organization. He had the greatest smile and gave us a warm reception. He remained helpful and friendly throughout our 4 day stay. The bellman was patient and helpful. All amenities were explained in detail by the front desk and the property was very clean. Maria, our concierge, felt more like my sister. Her personality is except... Read more

We did not plan to stay at the Crowne Plaza but due to discontent with a nearby hotel we were able to make a last minute reservation at this hotel - and so glad we did! The Valet was accommodating - allowing us to park temporarily - while we checked in. The front desk was also accommodating and even with a large convention in house - she was able to handle our request in a professional manner. Our room was an ocean view - king size bed and the room was clean. B'fast came with the room booking... Read more

We arrived mid morning from an early flight and were able to get a room before 11:00 AM. Staff was extremely helpful and even let us use our Sunday morning breakfast coupons on Friday, the day we arrived, since we would be gone by breakfast time on Sunday. An overall wonderful experience in a perfectly maintained property.

This is a very nice hotel overlooking the marina and pier. It has a nice and wide open lobby beautifully decorated. There is a lobby bar as well as a gift shop and concierge desk, computer business center where we were able to print boarding passes for free. The restaurant was not open and the only place to get dinner is in the bar and a bar menu. If you want the best view of the marina and ocean be sure to request full ocean front view room. The downside of this is if you have a room that is in... Read more

This is the best hotel I've stayed in in a while. Hotel staff are friendly and relaxed. Given free drink coupons for the bar. Every room has a view with private balconies. Was able to leave the balcony door open all night and listen to the sound of the ocean. Next time I'm in the South Bay, this Crowne Plaza is where I would prefer to stay.

Clean and modern the hotel made a great first impression upon entry. Valet parking is only $6 more than self park at $31 but public parking is available across the street for $20 a day. We checked in at 6pm but were delayed getting a room because the clean rooms had not been marked in the system. Breakfast was included in our room rate but I had to remind them at check in to get our vouchers. Breakfast was great - fresh made crepes, pancakes, waffles or omelets and a variety of fruit, bread ... Read more

We stayed at a different Crowne Plaza in Fremont (which was comparable to a lower end Holiday Inn). THIS Crowne Plaza in Redondo Beach is AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL marble floors, mirrors, nice lighting details, exceptionally wonderful service by staff, excellent breakfast at little attached restaurant called Sol. Wonderful all around!!!! If we ever come back to the area I staying here again in suite 5018 with a view of the pool area and ocean. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

I was completely surprised that a BUSINESS HOTEL could almost feel like an ocean side resort. I booked over the Memorial Holiday weekend and could not have made a better choice. The ocean front view has to be one of the best in the LA area. The room was completely clean and every thing worked. We even asked for "turn down service" and while the staff did not know that service, when we explained it to them they provided it. The maid even left bathrobes and slippers. The location of this hotel is great, it's quiet and real close to the good eating places. You have Capt Kidds and a lot of restaurants off the pier area as well. Within walking distance of Hermosa Beach area. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. A lot of the rooms have balconies that have real nice views looking out at the ocean area. If, your a beer lover, you can walk to Naja's Place it has over 80 beers on tap, it sits right off the docks there in Redondo beach.

Checked in here today. I travel nationally and internationally regularly. No greet at check in (reception could hardly look at me, let alone acknowledge) The bath floods. Room has musty smell and place is stuck in the 90's. But there's no competition in this area, so it's the best of a very bad bunch. But I will travel further afield in LA for a better deal and experience. I don't recommend this place.

As long as your expectations aren't too high, you might be OK.As others have noted, the location is good, but the facilities are dated. I arrived early, so I wasn't shocked when my room wasn't ready. The front desk staff offered me another one -- unfortunately, it smelled like the previous guest had spent six weeks holed up chain-smoking a carton a day. We stayed here for one night to be near friends before flying out the next day. The room was well appointed and comfortable. Our son became unwell during the night and we were able to get more linen brought up, along with a late checkout the next day to allow him to rest for as long as possible before we left for the airport. The beds were comfortable and a good size and the pool excellent. We would happily return here.

We stayed here at the end part of June and we really liked this hotel. It was clean and the location was great. Right across from a restaurant with a view of the marina and part of the ocean. The only problem I have with this hotel was the follow up inquiry they took to see if I was alright after the fall I had in one of the elevators. They should have contacted me in a day or so to see if everything was O.K. Not sure if I would want to stay there again.

We booked this property last-minute when our plans changed. For a Crowne Plaza, we were disappointed in the staff (what was up with the t-shirts?!) and check-in process was inexcusably slow (we literally left and came back as they were so understaffed). The hotel is in a GREAT location. Notwithstanding that the Salvation Army has a facility right across the street, the area feels safe and alive. You can walk to the pier and over to the beach. It is a VERY enjoyable walk. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The most frustrating thing about the hotel is the parking price, $25/day for self part and $31 for valet. Some hotels nearby offer free parking. When choosing a hotel in this area, you should consider room plus parking.

The Crowne Plaza in Redondo Beach is a very nice hotel -- quite modern decor in the lobby area, very nice lobby bar, a good breakfast restaurant/buffet, attentive staff -- my only reasons for not going for a full five TripAdvisor Circles of Awesomeness are 1: the hotel is across a rather busy road from the "beach" (which is more of a cove with what looks like a man-made beach, but seems like an ideal place if you have little ones); and 2: the pool deck, which has nice ocean views, has no bar, an... Our flight back to Australia is always late night and the ability of the half-day with check-out at 6.00pm is why we'll always choose Crowne Plaza - Redondo Beach. The room is always clean, the hotel i... Read more

Staying in the area for business and decided to try something new. What a pleasant surprise. Rooms have been recently refurbished. Hotel common areas are clean and well maintained. Great views of the harbor and waking distance to restaurants.

We usually stay in Huntington Beach when in the LA area but tried Redondo Beach and the Crown Plaza for a change. We were not disappointed at all. Check In was efficient and quick, yet very personal. All questions we had were answered promptly. There is Beach very close by but after a short walk to Hermosa Beach we found miles of sandy beaches. The hotel offers bikes for rent which we made use of, we had fun riding the bikes up to Santa Monica. Our rooms were fine, not pure luxury but nice, wi... Read more

Just had a fantastic week here in a front room overlooking the Pacific & marinas & it was fabulous. Hotel facilities are spotless & staff very pleasant & courteous. Lovely walks around the nearby Redondo Beach Pier, beautiful, clean sandy beaches. Hired a tandem bike, fantastic cycle lanes & routes. Also hired a kayak, wonderful experience.

The rooms are renovated and large. The view over the marina is amazing. Redondo Pier is in walking distance. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant very nice. We were astonished about the perfect service and the friendliness of the staff. We defenitely enjoyed every second of our stay

The Crowne Plaza in Redondo Beach is very centrally located. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and the Redondo Beach Pier. The hotel itself is very clean and is nicely furnished. The only problem I have with it is that some rooms, including the one that I stayed in, is very far away from the elevator, meaning that it is quicker to just take the stairs. This could be a problem if you are carrying large amounts of luggage or other heavy items. Other than that, my stay at the Crowne... Read more

I always stay in this hotel when transiting in LA. It is only around 20 minutes from LAX and is so much nicer than staying in an airport hotel. Hotel has been refurbished since my last visit and is looking great. Location is excellent, right across the road from the Marina with restaurants and bars and 5 minutes walk to the beach and to a small shopping centre with wholefoods market, nail salon, hair salon and a few eateries. Even though I've only stayed on 1 or 2 night transits, I'd still ch... Read more

Very nice and modern hotel. Our room was great, although it didn't have a sea view, but we didn't book a sea view room, so i shouldn't complain about it. Wifi worked well. Paid parking on site. Staff at the front desk were welcoming and helpful. Hotel bar was great, bartenders were fun, prices average. There is an outdoor pool area which was nice and large but it lacked entertainment. A pool bar wouldn't be a bad idea. This hotel is in a very good location, there are numerous restaurants whitin ... Read more

We have stayed here multiple times. The rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable with nice little balconies. Most rooms have partial marina/water views. Refrigerators are in every room. A microwave is available on the Second floor. There is a nice outdoor pool area, also on Second floor. The staff is generally welcoming and friendly. The hotel is located within walking distance of marinas (across the street) beach, pier and many restaurants. There is also a nice little aquarium a few blocks ... Read more

Amenities were nice, rooms were clean and updated. There was a loud group of young adults next to our room that were very distributive at 1am but as soon as we called the front desk, the noise stopped. Great location!

This hotel is a great place to stay if you are visiting the beach city of Redondo. The rooms are very clean from top to bottom. Decor is updated and the bathrooms are upgraded as well.(The water pressure in the shower is SPECTACULAR!!!) Staff at the front desk are helpful and respectful. The massage therapist are wonderful and very good at what they do. The hotel is situated in a location where it is convenient to get to the beach, and close to restaurants. This hotel was very nice and clean. My uber from the airport was $15 and you're right across the street from the pier. I could see the ocean from my room. Hotel parking was steep but consistent with other hotel parking costs. Wifi is free. Bar service is great. Will book here again if possible.

This is a nice Hotel unless you like to like to sleep. The air conditioner which is pretty loud cycles on and off every few minutes all night long. They have it fixed so you can't just turn the fan on so your only option is to listen to it cycle or turn it off. My company has a contract with this hotel so I have stayed here many times and have never had a good nights sleep. Management is unsympathetic. The bottom line on any hotel is a good nights sleep. Everything else is secondary. It doesn't... Read more

This hotel is a great alternative for those who want to experience the quieter, beach side part of LA but still be within reach of LAX. Step outside and Redondo Beach pier is to your left, Hermosa Beach is to your right. Both are within an easy walk. Across from the hotel there are a handful of restaurants (including The Cheesecake factory). The rooms are a reasonable size and the staff are pleasant. This hotel appeared to be quite popular with families and business people when we were there. We ... Read more

Stayed here one night after staying across the street at the Portofino. Comparing the two, we liked the Portofino better. Didn't like that you had to pay for bike rental and early check-in--we signed up to be a member in order to avoid that fee. Nice room, nothing special.

Wonderful location and views across the Redondo Beach. Hotel lobby, rooms and facilities are excellent. Double bed Room was spacious and well kept and good standard with a balcony and seating. Bathroom and facilities such as safe, fridge and tea / coffee were good. Parking is recommended at a cost of $25 per night easy access. Pool and jacuzzi were great with wonderful views. Couldn't believe it paying 500$ for 2 nights and no breakfast included. So if you just want to sleep you can stay here. It's clean though and there is clean towels and sheets. You have to pay 50$/day for parking.

We stayed for one night and to be honest I think it's a little bit too expensive. I guess the area where the hotel is located is a bit pricey so it's expected. I didn't have time to check out pool area and facilities so I can't say much about that. Now the bed, oh my gosh!, that was something. Best bed of my 2 and a half weeks trip.

I have stayed here and also been to conferences here. Great location, views , professional staff, ambience, clean and spacious...very welcoming. It is nice to be across the street from classic little cafes like Ruby's and Fish Market and to stroll on the walkways in the Marina and be near the more "upscale restaurants" nearby. I suggest you don't get into your car, but instead walk to all the nearby locations. I really do think you get what you pay for and this is an example. Great for... Read more

Room was comfortable & mostly clean. Loved the bed. Room service was delicious but took an hour & only ordered soup & sandwich. Facilities are beautiful. And coffee was great. I went to the desk for help with a billing issue. The girl was helpful but had a little attitude when I asked a question. Several hours later I went back to the desk to confirm issue was resolved. Light blocking ability to darken the room is about a 7. Good solid hotel with great service. Solid hotel Gym, if the weather is somehow cold and rainy (like it was for my most recent visit), but that is a rare thing. Unfortunately, they do not loan out bikes, you must rent them and it is not cheap. This should be something the hotel should provide with such great bike paths both north and south. We had stayed here before and had a great experience. The rooms are a good size (although oddly shaped). There is a fridge, safe, and a balcony with chairs. The bathroom has two small louvered doors, which I've never seen in any other hotel. The beds are comfortable, and there is a good-sized desk and chair. This time we did not have a great experience due to the service. On the 2nd day, housekeeping had not cleaned our room by 4 when we returned from an excursion. We did see the cleaning carts ...
