Our stay was amazing. Our room was ready early, super clean, crib was ready, had a personalized note and snacks for my family. Could not have asked for a better welcome. The man at the valet gave us specific directions to our room and we didn't even ask. My family loved the pool and the pool food was delicious! Can't wait for our next stay at the Westin!

We stayed here during a long weekend in May. The pool and grounds were nicely maintained. Our room was a bit dated, but it was fine. It had a decent sized deck as well and we enjoyed sitting outside for our morning coffee and late afternoon drink. The staff were friendly. Our daughters enjoyed walking the resident dog who was on loan from the local humane society. It's such a great idea, as I'm sure many dogs are adopted from this program. We enjoyed both large pools. We were really impressed with this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable. The twilight golf fee was only $55 per person but if the course was empty the staff at the pro shop would happily let you play slightly earlier. The food was wonderful and we really enjoyed the amount of variety and the superfoods options which allowed you to be healthy whilst still indulging. Nice resort which has benefitted from recent maintenance. This resort has been around for a while. So it was nice to see many features have been updated from one of the pools to the grounds to the menu at the restaurant. Upon arriving we were promptly greeted and helped by a very friendly staff. I've stayed here with my wife three years in a row every summer for a weekend getaway. We love this resort! The pool and grounds are fresh and maintained with green grass, seasonal flowers and luscious palms. The rooms are always fresh and clean. There is also a patio or deck to chillax in the early a.m or later evening because of the heat. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Staff on golf carts helped get us around. I love the convenience of having golf, tennis and spa in the same complex. Decent gym. Activity room for kids is a major plus. Staff is a mix. There were some really good people, but there were also some who didn't really care too much for the clients. We arrived a little past 3pm and check-in time posted was 3pm. Room was not ready. The hotel room is nice. The problem is that I drove my family 4 hours to get to the pool, but big surprise, the pool is closed for the average Joe. It's reserved for a big group. Can't get in. Forced to use the other pools that are the size of the pool I have at the house. Never come back here. The other part of the hotel the Vilas where we have to use the pool, the people there are very rude with guest.

We went in the midst of summer and it was really hot which was bearable. The downside was the hotel was doing lots of maintenance work, chopping down trees, (all the debris feel into the pool which was still there 2 days later) reorganizing sunbeds and workmen putting up new canopies around the pool, the end result was a lot of drilling and noise and not quite the retreat we had wanted. I do not know how much the room cost as it was a surprise from the wife, but I agree with others that eating somewhere else is advised, due to the expense. An example, Happy Hour 50% off wine, beer, well drinks...2 rum & Coke were $14 which means @ normal price of 1 Rum & Coke would be $14!? Having stayed at this place numerous times over the past two decades, we had been quite impressed with the conditions of rooms, pools, walkways and other areas. On our most recent visit (June 2016), however, it appeared obvious that the management had cut way back on maintenance. Hotel grounds are beautiful! Rooms are nice size and very clean. Main pool is very large and water slide a nice amenity for kids to enjoy. Don't agree with having an adult only pool as the majority that were at this resort had children. Adult only pool sat almost empty during my 3 day stay while finding seating at the other pool became quite a quest. Maybe should consider their smallest pool as adult only. Outside of that, it is a very nice hotel to stay at and would recommend.

We booked the Westin Rancho Mirage with hopes of having great pool time, but the pool was much smaller than the photos portrayed. With so many people in it and how shallow it was, there was no possibility of swimming in it. Unless I didn't see one, I was disappointed that there wasn't a lap pool. The quiet pool was too small. Unfortunately like may other large locations, the service can be erratic. There are times when the front desk (eg. scheduled a july 4th weekend at westin missions hills. unfortunately, we had to reschedule to a later date due to our newborn being only 3 weeks. spoke to spg rep and they were able to accommodate our change without charge. we checked in and rep confirmed there would be no addt'l charge except for incidentals. i didn't have time to check out but knew i'd receive an email with charges. to my surprise, they charged a higher rate for our weekend stay. when i called in and spoke to supervisor (ang... This is a spread out slightly dated but classic feeling resort. We were fortunate to have a ground floor room that overlooked part of the golf course / quiet pool and for us this was an excellent position as we could walk easily to everything without relying on the shuttles that frequently ferry people from the rooms further away. The drivers however would always offer us a lift if they passed us. The rooms feel slightly dated especially the bathroom set-up but it is not a huge problem. Service ... Read more

Set on one of the many golf courses in the area. It offers a place to unwind as the hotel is spread out and there are no high rise buildings. There was plenty of free parking. A couple of adult only pools, though children were catered for in the larger main pool. Staff were friendly and helpful and the free continental breakfast was a lovely bonus. A car is a necessity as ther are no local amenities within walking distance

I have just come back from staying here for two weeks and I was certainly not disappointed. The rooms were nicely done, in typical Sheraton style but with extra features such as the fireplace which was lovely. The pool was fab with a slide that was suitable for adults and children alike. The standout win for me though was the views, I can never get enough of waking up to those mountains! 5 star service at a 5 star villa!

Are there more upscale places? Yes. Are there more stylish places? Yes. Is there another hotel that offers bike riding, fishing, water slides, poolside activities, Tortoise/Rabbit feeding/petting and fish feeding? No. We stay here at least once a year and we love it every time. Great lobby, rooms and restaurants. Older property, but maintained very well with classic Westin rooms and beds. There is an Apiary which we visited last year and it was a huge hit with the kids and grandma. (and you get ... Read more

We had a great stay at the Westin Mission Hills! It was a busy weekend over Columbus Day and Desert Trip, and the hotel was very full, but it did not feel crowded at all. The pool areas were beautiful. Service was very good and all the staff were lovely to us and to our children. One sink was clogged, and our clock was broken and apparently could be neither fixed nor easily replaced, but still giving this five stars, because overall, the trip was great! Excellent dinner recommendations from... Read more

The grounds are beautiful, the room was comfortable but best of all the stuff was very accommodating and friendly all around, from the front desk to the pool stuff. Three different pools; adults, kids and "quiet" - where we weren't very welcomed, but that's on us :) We were there during Oldchella so they did have to deal with some party crowd and were easy going about that.

This course has premium prices with just okay service. No ice and water machine at the club house, started us on the back nine, which meant that we missed the turn snacks drinks feature offered on hole 8, as it was hole 17 for us. Yardage markers were out of whack, by a large amount, signs generally missing, or confusing, they did apologize for the signs in advance. Plenty of better places for less money, will not return.

Karen Settles was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had several requests and she was more than happy to make sure our stay was fantastic. Check in was a breeze, and our stay has been wonderful so far. Keep up the good work!

As a frequent traveler, and after a few hours on the road, anxiously excited to see my friends perform and support a great cause for Breast Cancer. I was greeted by the valet gentleman who also escorted me to the registration desk, beautiful and professional start... so I will skip over the registration embarrassment of an individual who needs more eticat and coaching. I received my room key, discovered it's a pet friendly hotel, I love this! Comfortable room, no wow effects. My wireless and c... Read more

We've stayed at the Westin Mission Hills many times, and have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the resort grounds are lovely. The resort is great for families and features plenty of activities to keep the young ones occupied, including outdoor movies, a game room, and of course a great pool. The Pinzimini restaurant is excellent for dinner, and the resort is located just a short drive from a plethora of other dining options in Rancho Mirage and Palm Desert. ... Read more

Rooms are old, dated and desk help is week at best. If this were my first impression of Westin, I would never return. The only redeeming quality, the rest of the staff. (omitting front end) I would only stay here as a last resort, The Resort takes itself much too seriously for what it is!

Stephany Garcia front desk staff started our stay with great customer service. The resort is beautiful and meticulously maintained. If you were traveling with your pets this is the place to stay. They provided us with a beautiful pet bed, put toys and dishes. They even have a pet adoption program. Such a nice experience for your extended Family.

It was a beautiful venue and the pool area was great. The only bad thing was that a family next to us was extremely loud. We had to call the front office, but it went on until approximately 2:30am. Other than this little hiccup, everything else was great. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean.

This was our fourth visit to this hotel although we have not been here or to the USA for 5 years. We were pleasantly surprised by some of the changes that had been made most notably Dilberts where you can order take out and get stuff like pizzas, salads, fish and chips. reasonably priced and convenient especially if going off somewhere or not in the mood for a sit down dinner. We also got to hear about the wonderful program the hotel supports with taking in rescue dogs in the hope of re homing.... Read more

A must stay if you are visiting Palm Desert. Best location, golf, food and staff team you will ever experience. The leadership of Tom General Manager is contagious with entire staff. Must visit Fireside, especially Mayola and Cecillia. Stay in building "3" if possible. Entire golf stay exceptional, Brody, Brittany, Paul, John, Mike, John on course and list goes on. Your visit will be most memorable. Housekeeping in building "3" and especially supervisor professional and caring.

This is our 3rd time staying here and each and every time has been wonderful. However, each time also gets better and better. This time, our stay was made incredible by Michelle (front desk manager) who made our anniversary stay top-notch. I cannot even begin to express how amazing she made this visit. We haven't been back to the hotel in many years and it is just as beautiful as it was 5 or 6 years ago. The food is great, all other staff is great, location is great. I love the options of having... Great place to stay. Rooms are nice, golf courses are sweet. Stayed one week, the restaurants are great and the service was very good, everytime we asked for something they accommodated us. They even have a rescue dog that can be adopted on a weekly basis.

I've been to this location many time before and the service just keeps getting worse. I had an issue with my bill and the administration could not address it. The accounting depart couldn't resolve the issue, the manager wouldn't return my call, even SPG deferred back to the property. I finally had to call american express to get things worked out. With so many options in the area, this place falls at the bottom of the list.

Wonderful, well kept resort with a pretty decent golf course. ALL the staff we encountered were wonderful people and very helpful. Pinzimini restaurant was "ok" for food you can walk to but nothing special. Then there were the dogs. DOGS EVERYWHERE! We are not big dog lovers, especially when we are never sure if they want to lick our toes or bite our face. Please folks, if you want to spend time in a nice resort, leave your dog in a nice animal hotel. Just because you love Bowser doesn't mean a... Read more

Wow. What a setting. Lush landscaping, great design and super staff. What more could you ask for. We had 4 rooms for 4 nights for our extended family get together. The adjoining rooms are very handily arranged so there is access between rooms but yet privacy when needed (perfect for putting the little ones to bed early). One of our rooms was a suite with a nice sized dining table that made a super family gathering area. Also, each room had a little fridge which proved to be quite useful. The 3 ... Read more

We stayed here with our family during Thanksgiving week and loved it. It was our first time staying here, but we chose it because we love Westins and it had a water slide. Actually, it has two. We initially tried to book our stay at the villas. We're a family of 5, so any way we can get around having to sleep with our 8 year old, we try to do. We were hoping the villas would offer separate bedrooms, and I think they do, but they were all sold out when we tried to book. So, we booked at t... Read more

I spent 4 nights at the Westin and enjoyed the meandering path around the golf course. The resort sprawls around lush well maintained Golf fairways and greens, with lot of ponds where more birds than golfers can be seen. The property boasts several pools, a 24 hour work-out gym, and you can get shuttled with little golf-like carts. I found the staff friendly and accommodating, the room were clean and all the basics covered. We were short on facecloths, called the front desk and some were deliv... Read more

This course out of six we played had the best bunkers. The customer service was great. The only reason I didn't give this course a five star is because the pace of play was horrible. Our round was over 5 hours long.
