This is the second year I've been invited to an annual work retreat at Omni Hotel & Resort in Palm Springs. Both years, my experience at Omni has been great! The staff is very friendly, the amenities are clean, and there are plenty of options to choose from! The only thing I would change is that everything closes at 10pm, which is still a little early. Other than that, it's been a good time!

We had a lovely stay at the Omni for our anniversary May 12-14. Since this was an anniversary trip we were traveling without our children. The customer service is top notch, all of the staff that we interacted with from the front desk to the servers at the restaurant went out of their way to make us feel well taken care of which is really refreshing. They sent us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary which was a nice touch. On Friday my husband golfed on the proper... Read more

Very nice spot with lots of fun for the whole family. The kids lazy river and slides were a huge (huge!) hit with our 6 and 8 year olds. The resort is set up as small 'villa' style buildings w/ about 10 rooms each (2 story). The rear of the property is where the kids pool is and is more family oriented, the front (closer to check in area and restaurant) is quieter and has an adult pool-- it's separated from the kids area by part of the golf course so totally removed (and like another, quieter,... Stayed at the Omni Racho Las Palmas for my anniversary with my husband and another couple. We arrived on Friday morning and, even though our room wasn't ready, we were able to access the full property and amenities offered. The boys booked a few rounds of golf at the hotel and enjoyed it very much. The Spa at the Omni was very peaceful, relaxing and clean. I had the guava package that included a scrub, massage and facial. I think I feel asleep on the table twice, it was that relaxing. We s... Read more

I went on a Thursday and there were only 4 people at the pool. Loved it! I have a 3 year old and we both loved the sandy beach area, shaded with sand toys. Enjoyed the lazy river and splash zone for kids. They also had free ice cream. I couldn't get my daughter out of the pool! I only gave it 4 stars because I payed $$$ and no breakfast:( besides that I will definitely go back with a deal.

We stayed at the Plaza level rooms, which now seams the best choice since it is far from the pool noise in the mornings and the bar music noise in the evenings; and the lowest cost. The laisy river is the BEST! We loved it. Don't eat at the hotel, you can get much better quality for a much lower price at the mall or just 2-3 blocks away,

I stayed at the hotel on the Memorial weekend. The facility is beautiful and very enjoy-full for the kids, but me and my family had very disappointing experience the last weekend. I ordered baby bed and microwave in advanced to my arrival, i had to call more than 6 times after my arrival to the front desk to deliver it to my room, they promised every-time that they are bringing it, until 21:30 at night they informed me that its no longer available. Was given an upgrade to a pool view room for $60 more per night and it wasn't worth it. The pool view was poor and the music was way too loud. It was double bed room and they were two full size beds. FULL SIZE...needless to say it made for a very uncomfortable sleep.

Let me just say that I won this trip thru ktla 5 news and if this stay wasn't free I would have left not too long after checking in. Every single staff member we spoke with was great though. We were suppose to have a golf view room but we got room 526 and it had a huge overgrown tree blocking the view from everything. I'm sure on a quieter weekend, this place is not that bad. If you're looking for a resort in Rancho Mirage where your kids can have fun and you can just relax by the pool, this isn't the place. You're kids will probably have fun, but you won't be relaxing by the pool because it will be so busy, you'll think you're at a community pool and not a resort. Their staff is friendly, but I don't think they can keep up with the sheer volume of humanity on their property. Trash was ever-present at the... Read more

Fun for kids but nothing extra special for them. They have a splash pad, lazy river, baby beach & pool, all of which my 2.5yr old loved. However they do not have a designated "kids center" They have an arcade and an area you can drop off your kids for babysitting. They had a schedule in the lobby which stated an ice cream social on Monday at 5. We had to ask 3 employees where that was as nobody knew about it. They advertised an ice cream social, an outdoor movie, bingo, and an arcade. When we went looking for the ice cream social, it had been moved across the parking lot to the conference center and it had been changed to smores. In 110 degree weather. Omni Hotel Rancho Las Palmas is perfect for families. The Splashatopia and Lazy River (also family pool) were perfect for everyone in the family. My kids, 4 & 6, really enjoyed the waterpark at the hotel- Splashtopia. Waterslides were fun and we love the lazy river, which is only 3ft so both of my kids can stand. It's fun for a one or two days stay. The only downside was the we were billed for a meal that we didn't charge after we left the hotel. Celebrating my moms 70th Birthday with family. We had great fun at the Adult pool, lazy pool and slide. My mom has some medical handicap and the resort is geared up for it; although, the tech team needs to check chairs that lower the handicap into the water to make sure they work, as the lazy pool one did not work for the 4 days we were there). Had an excellent second stay at this hotel. The grounds and facilities and staff are uniformly excellent. Our meals at Blu Ember as well as in room dining and food and drink ordered from poolside cabana were all excellent. Not a single, even minor complaint. Definitely recommend, especially for the pool area for children. Our sons really love the lazy river and water slide. Swam until they were exhausted. Lots of fun was had!

Nice pool and food service at pools. Staff were pleasant and friendly. However our room was on the second floor and there were no elevators and no staff offered to help us. We were also put next to a room with young crying and screaming children. If you stay, check to see where your room is if this matters to you. Also, have a bell staff help you if you are on the second floor if you are older or disabled.

Rancho Las Palmas resort has been a family tradition for us every summer for over 8 years. Splashtopia (lazy river & slides) being our primary draw to the resort. However, also greatly appreciate it's location near the movie theatre and many restaurants, the golf course, AND the great service we receive. For us there is truly no other family resort like this in So. Ca. which is why we come back every year. My only two complaints on this stay were: 1) I noticed that the main pool was not as clean... We always stay at Omni Hotels because they are the only hotels with a lazy river and large kids and adult pools. Although there are many resort style hotels in the area, the Omni is the only hotel that goes all out with the pool area and includes an amazing adult pool along with slides for the kids. The lazy river is amazing. The pool bars are also great. This is the only hotel to go to if you want to swim.

Great place to stay, food is just outrageous by the pool $20.00 for two smoothies. Room Service Charges $32.00 a night out of control. We paid avg besides booking our room an extra $40-60 a night. Thats just getting a smoothie for two maybe 1 time a day. Everyone talks about it. Food on the menu is not cheap, bring your own food. Overall, if you have the money this is a great place to stay.

We stayed at this resort in August 2016. The rooms were clean. However, the facility was very crowded, and lots of children around. The pool was overcrowded, and was the lazy river area. No shade over the pool to hide from the glaring sun. Food and drink service around the pool was expensive. The big reason for my mediocre review...the hidden Resort free we were charged...that fee $145. No one informed us of this fee when booking the rooms. I just love the feel of this hotel, with it's open Spanish-Colonial style buildings and lush surrounds. It really feels like an oasis. My room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a king size bed, desk and small lounge area. There was also a small covered patio overlooking the fountain and golf course, a great spot to have morning coffee. It took three trips to the front to get a key that worked. And if you know how huge this place is, you will understand what a nuisance it was. Outside of that, the hotel was beautiful, the pool was peaceful and the grounds were wonderful.

Check out time at this $500.00 a night hotel is strictly enforced. I was only 30 minutes late because my husband was sick at urgent care and I was locked out or gate AND my room. And they insinuated "poolside" room is a luxury. It's just a room a stone's throw from screaming children and there is NO privacy. And the music at the ADULT pool is just like you are on a Carnival Cruise. I got a $50.00 credit at checkout for getting locked out of my room - hardly adequate compensation.
