Basically, we had an excellent night's rest at the Holiday inn Express in Paso Robles. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The room was very quiet. The morning breakfast buffet was better than average. The room was large with a king bed. The furnishings were modern. A refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker were among the appliances. The bathroom was clean and modern, with very plush large towels. The air conditioner was quiet. The hotel i... Read more

Recently remodeled and nicely appointed rooms. However be aware there are two separate buildings each 3 stories high. Room 100-300 and 400-600. So if you get a room on the fifth floor don't be alarmed. I mention this in case you may be staying with friends and to be placed in rooms at least in the same building. Adequate breakfast area was clean and presented several options.

We pulled in to town with less than 2 hours to get to a wedding. The room I had booked online at a different hotel was unacceptable. I desperately called the Holiday Inn Express (only a few blocks away) and although they were near capacity, they were able to accommodate us for the night - and with our AAA discount. Our room was located in a separate building from the lobby. It felt brand new. I know I was the first one to use the blow dryer. Everything was modern and clean. We have 2 sons ... Read more

The hotel has been recently updated so it looks brand new. The entire property is clean and the employees offer great hospitality! The breakfast was fair. They offered hot items though (pancakes on demand, omelets, bacon, bagels yoghurt,...) which is better than the continental breakfast you are usually given at hotels. We will definitely come back to this hotel the next time we visit Paso!

Super clean, comfortable, and awesome staff made a very stressful and tough business stay bearable. I would highly recommend this location for business or pleasure travelers. I definitely want to return in order to visit the many local wineries, which are close by...beautiful area and close to lovely downtown location.

We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the pleasant breakfast area. Our room was clean and up-to-date. My only complaint was the loud air conditioner that was right next yo the bed and blew right on me all night. It's located close to downtown so it was a nice quick drive getting around.

We planned a last minute trip over memorial weekend to the Paso Robles area, and this hotel was at the top of a short list that accepts dogs (and their small, one time dog fee vs a nightly fee was a bonus). The nightly rate was a bit higher than I was wanting to pay (probably inflated due to all the wine and horse events in the immediate area over the holiday weekend), but I loved the fact that this hotel has an indoor, heated pool and provides a breakfast each morning. I was pleasantly surprise... Read more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn because we wanted a hotel within walking distance of the Firestone Walker Beer Invitational. The Firestone Walker event started at 12:00, but we wanted to park our car in the Holiday Inn's parking lot (check-in was not until 3:00). We showed up at the front desk at 11:00 asking if it was okay to park our car and check in later. The clerk said not problem and even checked us in (could not pickup room keys until 3:00, which was not problem). The hotel was very clea... Read more

Booked three night here for a long weekend in Paso on the way up to Monterey. Clean, new property & dog friendly. A little pricey for a Holiday Inn, however Paso is now a real wine destination and it is the start of the summer. The staff was great, very pleasant. The free breakfast was good, typical fair for a self serve style. Within walking distance of several good places to eat.

The hotel was recently refurbished so everything was new. Our room was very quiet, clean, and comfortable. As usual there was a microwave and a small refrigerator. The breakfast was the usual Holiday Inn Express breakfast, but was hot and delicious. If you're going to Paso Robles I recommend this hotel.

This hotel really changed my perspective of the Holiday Inn brand. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and offer a great use of space. The first thing I look at are bathrooms, that usually tells me how clean the room really is. It was spotless. We often travel with our small dog and the tile flooring in the kitchenette area is perfect for setting up his bowls and bedding. An unexpected bonus... there are restaurants within a 3-4 min walk, and downtown and wineries within 5-10 min drive. Grea... Read more

I travel at least three times a year for weekend breaks. This hotel had so much potential, good location, fitness center and breakfast. My son and I went out for the day to return to an unclean room. Night staff didn't answer the phone at 10pm so I had to go downstairs for assistance. Clean towels at 10pm didn't really help. I am used to using third party sites to book hotels and have gotten used to getting a top floor room, usually furthest from the elevator but this experience ruined the tr... Read more

Went wine tasting last weekend, and most places were full, so we stayed here. It's a nice, new, well-kept property. Rooms are nice and quiet, and don't smell like air freshener!! The AC worked well, and staff was great. No road noise and only one train a day that we heard. Close to the highway and the fairgrounds, and a mile from the center of town. My only dislike was the breakfast.... everything was highly processed and tasted like rubber! (I skipped it).

This hotel appears to cater to the transient workers in the area. I think i counted 3 cars in the parking lot. The rest were pickup trucks. When we arrived, there was a social hour going on, with free beer. Mind you, I like beer, but when you serve it up unlimited, you are asking for trouble. Check in was a chore because the social hour was going on in the area next to the lobby. Couldn't hear anything. The room was a typical HIE, The room lacked enough outlets for 4 people and their devices.... Read more

A nice clean hotel. I chose one of the suites with the small extra room. It was great. The hardest part was choosing which kid got to sleep on the sofa sleeper. It was it's own room with a separate TV. The hotel was in two buildings so we had to walk across the parking lot to access the pool and breakfast. There was a nice BBQ restaurant right across the street where we had dinner. I would definitely stay here again.

I am a fan of the Holiday Inn Express brand. This particular location is one of the best I have stayed in. All the staff we interacted with appeared genuinely glad to see us and insure that our stay was as pleasant as possible. Facilities are first rate!

We went to Paso Robles for wine and family time. I looked around and found the cheapest rate at another hotel. After reading many reviews I changed my mind and decided to give Holiday Inn Express. I called up and spoke to Amber in reservations who was amazing. There was a wild fire not too far away and most of the hotels, including this one were booked solid. She managed to find us a suite and gave it to us at a room rate. The room was spacious and recently updated with all the modern touches i... Read more

We have stayed at hundreds of hotels over the last few years. This rates with the best of them but unfortunately is located in one of the worst locations in town. The positives: clean hotel but parking lot a little dirty looking, comfortable bed, large, quiet room, good a/c, fair water pressure in sink and shower but water extremely soft and not good tasting to drink, good lighting in room and bathroom, good wifi but it keeps bumping you off, guest laundry, walking distance to some fast food re... We stayed here for a weekend horse show. This is a nice place, modern, clean, convenient and has a decent breakfast. The rooms are nice and the beds are super confortable. Microwaves, refrigerators in the room-quiet. Great value for what you get. I would stay here again.

We were in town for a weekend of wedding events, so mostly the room was just to come/go/get ready for various events and to sleep. With multiple trips to meet up with folks, shop, dine, drink, etc, the location was perfect for that. The rooms are good sized, allowing us to share with our son grown son who did not have time to book his own room (many hotels were sold out), and still have a comfortable stay. The entire property is well maintained inside and out. They even provided extra bath ... Read more

we spent very little time at the room, but it was a large room, you was not cramped up in it considering we was sharing it with another parent & her son. There was four of us. It was a very nice room, parking was a little rough though. Staff was friendly. The area may not have been the greatest but it was a great hotel. I would stay again.

As a pro traveler for a living I am in hotels about 150 nights per year and this is a Great stop!! Property and rooms are clean, indoor pool and fitness center are great and hotel staff are as good as it gets! Wish I could take this facility with me everywhere I go. Lots of good food within walking distance. Will come back to this one for sure!

The great: We were so surprised by this hotel. We had never stayed in a Holiday Inn Express, but were traveling with a pet and needed pet friendly. Beautiful room condition, comfortable bed and linens, and something I've never noticed before...clever design of furniture on wheels to move for use as desk,TV stand, coffee table. The room also had many electronic ports and multiple plug ins throughout, which we really appreciated. A great continental breakfast and even an evening wine/beer tasting ... Read more

We came to Paso Robles to visit wineries, and just needed a place to stay. We found a great tour that partnered with the hotel, and where very please by both the wineries and the hotel itself. The hotel is clean, well run, and has a wonderful breakfast in the morning! We look forward to coming again soon!

Location, location, location. If you have things to do downtown Paso Robles, this is a great location. It is a drive to the many vineyards ourside of town, but if there are in Atascadero, or other cities, great location for freeway access (far enough away not to hear it). It can be a bit un-nerving seeing transient people, but they respected my space, I respected theirs. The dogs however didn't really get along with any...! Room was a bit small with what is in it. Doing beer and wine tastings each evening. Pool and gym are small but workable. Super location for fair and/or wine tastings.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights for a wine country experience (which we do a couple of times each year) and it was both good and bad. First the good, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms was clean and comfortable.
