Stayed here 4 nights with my daughter, who was attending a seminar onsite. This is a busy hotel in a good location ~ just a few minutes walk to shops/restaurants on Colorado Blvd, and about a 15 minute walk to Old Town Pasadena. The staff, from the front desk to the restaurants and housekeeping, were all very efficient and genuinely friendly. The room was so-so...in need of some updating (furniture/fixtures showing age and wear), and unfortunately had a stale odor of cigarette smoke (perhaps lin... Read more

Well, it's never a good sign when you walk in and find earplugs on the bed. That being said, noise wasn't my concern. The hotel is just a bit old and in need of a makeover. The staff was professional, but not overly welcoming or went out of their way to assist. The local area lacks a bit in terms of restaurants, etc. it's a few blocks walk to anywhere to grab a bite to eat.

I was excited to be staying close to everything in Pasadena. The lobby are is new and vibrant. But this is were the décor stops. The rooms are still stuck in the past. Clean and well maintained just not what you expect based on the lobby. You will want to make sure you have a DND sign and you put it on the door otherwise you will be woken up by a housekeeper hours before check out.

My stay was quite disappointing - I was not welcomed as an hhonors member, nor did I receive most of my benefits until I specifically asked about them. Additionally there were issues with their new online check-in system which booted me from my deluxe room into what was clearly a lesser room type. The rooms are fine, quaint, but far from anything this seasoned traveler has come to expect in terms of deluxe or niceties.

During my travels to Pasadena for business l usually stay at the Hilton Pasadena. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. It is close to many restaurants, most located on Colorado. The rooms are always clean and the fitness center is open 24 hours a day. My only issue is that the hotel stays so busy that I can't always get a reservation for the travel next month.

We attended a wedding in Pasadena and elected to stay at the Hilton for its central location. It really is close to the heart of town within easy walking distance of many restaurants and stores. Easy driving. The hotel itself has been there for awhile. It feels like it's out of the 80s but has been renovated, maybe several times and maybe again in the not too distant future. All of the rooms appear to have a small balcony, which is nice given the usually comfortable California mornings. In room ... Read more

This hotel is very nice and has an excellent location, however, like any downtown hotel, the street noise is pretty loud...which the hotel knows as it furnishes you with a set of earplugs in each room. We stayed here for two nights on a road trip to Yosemite National Park, from San Diego. I was pleasantly surprised, with how nice our room was, after reading TA reviews from people that thought their rooms looked dated and ??stuck in the past??. I very much liked their décor, which was traditionally elegance. Everything was so well kept that it looked new to me. I regret that I didn??t book this hotel for the end of our trip as well, because I tried booking it on our way back home, and ... Read more

Hotel is conveniently located near Old Town Pasadena and freeways. However, popcorn on the ceiling of rooms, loud and partially ineffective air conditioners and ancient window vents impacts the ability to give this hotel anything more than average. They've updated the furnishings to a certain extent, but they really need to renovate the place and update the rooms. We found earplugs on the night stand and had read in reviews that the rooms could be noisy. Once we closed the ancient fresh air ... Read more

As soon as we entered the room it was immediately apparent that the room needed updating. Dark, old decorations the type of look you would expect from a Best Western or Motel 6 before they improved their appearance. Apparently the Hilton didn't get that memo. Next to the bed was a pair of ear plugs. Yes, ear plugs. An accompanying note explained politely that the hotel is located on an urban street so there may be noise. We were at this hotel for 4 nights. It is a short walk to Old Pasadena. The hot buffet breakfast with omlet bar is a nice way to start the day. The beds were comfortable, as was the room, tho the wifi was a bit temperamental. Staff was nice and self-park was convenient. A/C was noisy--fan was loud. We expect better from a Hilton. Giving us one set of earplugs doesn't really minimize the loud A/C noise.

It is extremely difficult to find affordable hotel anymore in LA. We booked the hotel by taking advantage of joining HHonor program with a hefty discount. This hotel is very nice in a quiet location. Colorado Blvd is walking distance away. San Gabriel and nearby area is short distance away. It is very convenient. I wish the parking is not that high, otherwise, it is very good. not the nicest of Hilton properties. Room was OK - needs remodeling. The mattresses had a pad on them, an easy fix to a worn mattress. Location is close to old town, although it does not have much to offer. They did not give me the room that I booked thru HHonors. Staff was nice but did not go out of their way for anything. The staff at this hotel are very nice. Good location and food and beverage is good. Like many hotels these days, the rooms are tired and dated. I recommend a different hotel; the Westin down the street. The Front Desk and valet Staff have no idea what Customer Service is; these people need C/S Training in the worst way. Other than Patrick and Dylan at the Front Desk, the rest of the Staff did not know how to "smile", did not appear "happy", appeared to "care-less" about the fact I was there, no such thing as "good morning/good day" and the front desk is a great place to get the wrong information about everything; need something, forge... I found this a comfortable hotel with a pleasant front desk staff. The fitness center is pretty well equipped. Pretty good location. Easy walking distance to many restaurants. They are in the process of upgrading the HVAC system to replace individual room units with a central system which should reduce the noise level from the units, which actually isn't too bad.

The staff at this hotel are amped up to make sure you feel they care. The property is older, but the rooms and public spaces are more than comfortable. We just stayed one night so didn't use many of the amenities. Highly recommended

Nothing special. Priced too high for the value received, plus getting charged for parking. Not enough parking spots. Breakfast in restaurant priced high. Starbucks on-site closed early. Very busy in the morning.

Attended in event in the downtown area of Los Angeles with my husband and this hotel had the best pricing for our short stay. It was about 15 mins from the event, rooms were nice and clean just wish it had a refrigerator in it. Staff was very friendly and breakfast in the restaurant was delicious!

Hotel staff was amazing! Great stay and reasonably close to attractions, stores and restaurants. We opted to take the hotel shuttle and walk ,as well which was easy to do in California! We got bottled water as soon as we checked in which was helpful for thirsty travelers. We would def come back here after they remodel.

First impression walking into the lobby was this looks really nice. The front desk staff were very nice. The bartenders were awesome and the bar area was always busy. But the rooms are old and out dated. I wouldn't walk on the carpet without shoes on. It was old and dirty looking. Furniture was dirty and old. I'm glad the air conditioner system was updated and the unit under the window was no longer working the filter's in that air conditioner were so thick of dust. My son asthma was really ... Read more
