In town for a recent trade show, stayed for five nights. Huge property, took a few days to find all of the shortcuts. Multiple restaurants onsite and many retail stores. Nice workout facility for a hotel as well. Although staff is excellent the hotel itself is a bit dated. My room could have used a remodel, the bed wasn't exceptionally comfortable but it really was clean so no complaints there. If I were in town for a non-business trip I would probably look elsewhere first.

I've been coming to this hotel since it first opened in the 90s. Its a huge property, with lots of different pools and amenities. kids love the duffy boat ride. Rooms, service and decor are all typical of a marriott property.

i went here for a lacrosse trip to play in the sandstorm event going on at the beginning of the year. Me and my whole team had a lot of fun at the pools and running around the hotel. it is a really big hotel so we had a lot to do. The food there was pretty good but over priced and the hotel rooms where ok not super clean. I had a room I had to share with teammates and the extra bed you can ask for is super hard like a rock. Also the birds that are around the hotel are very load in the morning. o... Read more

Stayed in town a few days visiting family friends. I love this resort. Amazing facilities. Some recent reviews complained about "older" rooms, but mine felt recently updated. Also my room was spacious with a great view overlooking the lagoon and the hotel pools. Only issue with my room was where the water faucet for the bathtub joined the tiles - it looks like it had separated a bit and needs to be adjusted by the maintenance folks. Other than that, service was excellent. Room was serviced withi... Read more

We spent a week at the JW and we enjoyed every moment. This was our second visit, but this time our adult children joined us. The service was excellent particularly at the lounge and the Rockwood grill where we had breakfast every day. Very friendly and courteous staff. We also ate at the Fisherman landing, the food was excellent. A very pleasant holiday in beautiful surroundings!

This hotel is fine, nothing to comply. Nice views, excellent facilities, specially the tennis courts, big rooms with nice beds, friendly service, comfortable in every respect. But is there any reason to keep gas fireplaces along the terraces to warm only the atmosphere? This is an unacceptable practice very harming for the climate. Marriott should be conscious and ending up immediately with this. Regards,

My husband attended a 3-day conference at the JW Marriott so I came along. Our room was spacious, clean and appeared to have been updated fairly recently. Pros: â?˘Beautiful grounds and landscaping, with golf courses, water fountains, swimming pools, flamingos, black swans and other waterbirds. â?˘Very nice facilities with an enormous lobby/lounge, restaurants, Starbucks, conference rooms â?˘Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, from the people at the front desk to the employees all over the... We spent 2 nights over Thanksgiving at the JW Marriott in Palm Desert. It was a great time and we are thinking of making this a Thanksgiving tradition! We have 2 kids, almost 3 and 9 months. The hotel had a ton for kids: awesome pool with a great synthetic grass area for my 9 month old to wander around. They have several gondola boats, which go around the property which the kids loved. Exotic birds on property. Miniature golf. Several restaurants, etc. Agree that the rooms are dated and coul... Read more

The grounds here are absolutely fantastic. From the pool to the golf course to the hiking areas. The rooms though need a makeover. The rooms are not in the same shape as the other "JW" branded hotels. The service was very good and the staff are friendly and want to make you happy.
