First of all, note that as far as location, this hotel is where you want to be! Centrally located next to the main walk, with bars, restaurants and shops all around. This trip was a family trip with our 9 year old daughter, my husband and myself. We had a large size suite/room and were pleased with the area. We had to ask for our entire bedding set to be changed as there were blood stains on the duvet cover and cigarette burns (2-3) in our mattress cover. Our room service tag on our door for... Read more

We have stayed at the Hyatt Palm Springs many times. It is a great hotel for our family of five. The location is perfect. Normally, we have no complaints. However, over Memorial Day weekend the environmental department closed down the hot tub, but the hotel did not resolve the problem. For a holiday weekend, the hotel should have done anything, and gone to any expense to resolve the problem. Unfortunate error.

There is no on-site parking except valet parking that charges $25 a night. One of the valet staffs was not friendly, didn't even bother to answer question. However, the front desk staffs were really nice and responsive. We can't believe how delicious the in-room service for dinner was, however, the order took a while to get to us. The restaurant did give us a discount because of that. The hotel room itself is old, you can see that from the door and the rust in the bathroom. However, everything i... Read more

The location of the hotel is fantastic: on the main strip and easy to walk to everything. The room itself was very nice and well laid-out. The pool area was very comfortable, although I expect it is half the size it would need to be for any visit during peak season. There were several aspects that ruined our stay to the extent that we left a day early to go to a different hotel. 1. The wireless internet is so poor that it would work in the living room portion fo the room, but we could not get a... Read more

We had a great time staying at the Hyatt Palm Springs. We stayed during the week so it was not very busy. Maruo helped check us in and he was probably the best hotel staff person I have ever come in contact with. The hotel was very nice, the room we had was clean and comfortable. The location is great for downtown shopping and such and you can walk right out of the hotel for the village fest. Enjoyed my 2-day stay at this hotel very much! Please note that it is an older property and may not be every travelers 'cup-of-tea' who is wanting only a 'brand new' or 'traditional luxury' experience. But it's Hyatt quality in my opinion, and has been tastefully refurbished with a mid-century modern vibe (browns and oranges) that fits very nicely in downtown Palm Springs. I stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. I like this particular hotel because of its location. It's downtown. So it's walking distance to shopping, restaurants and gay and straight bars. The staff is outstanding. There's ice water for everyone in the lobby. The Hyatt provides the Wall Street Journal (how many hotels do that?) and USA Today, as well as coffee mornings.

The hotel has potential or maybe it used to, but with the construction in the area it is not exactly what we expected. Our room was nice, but could use some upgrades. Also a door the opens to the outside versus a hallway is just not what I expect from a Hyatt. Also the crack in the bathroom sink and the slow draining shower show the true age of the room. The staff was friendly, but they can only do so much.

Be of the reviews here. Any review that has "Review collected in partnership with hyatt hotels" at the bottom is probably fake. I recently stayed at the hotel that was paid for in advance. The front desk staff never said anything about the issue nor did they apologize for their mistake. When I called and spoke to someone they told me that they usually only hold $50 and that he could not send me a bill with all of this information on it. I have a background in hospitality and know what a bill should show. I am just disappointed in the service and lack of service recovery.

The service was very good, however carpet and pool areas were in rough shape and in need of renovations. The carpets in the hallways was tattered and did not look clean and the pool deck had a lot of cracks and very stained chairs. There were lights on the private patio that could not be turned off by guests, which was a very poor design choice for anyone not liking bright lights outside their glass doors or who wants to enjoy the night sky.

Great experience, clean, relaxing, and friendly staff. My room was convienent and comfortable. If I must complain about one thing it would be the air quality in the elevator and in the hall way off the floor leading to my room. Additionally, the pool area is a bit smaller than expected and there seemed to be a lack of sun beds if you come out in the afternoon as expected, I suppose. But overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel although I really wish the construction would be completed that seems to have bee going on for years next door. The pool and bar staff are lovely, but it would be nice if it was a little bigger! You can walk to just about anything downtown from here which is lovely and a main reason we have stayed here several times. The rooms are spacious and there is a separate living room area in each room which is fantastic if you have kids or a few friends staying together.

We just returned form a week-long stay at the Hyatt Palm Springs. This was our "baby moon" before our second child arrives, and we also brought our 1.5 year old daughter. We stayed in a Cabana Suite (highly recommend). Pros: - Location is fantastic - walkable to all restaurants and shops. We rented a car to do excursions and some grocery shopping. - Pool - relaxing, plenty of seating (sun and shade), and bar service great. - Room - our room was a large suite, and we were able to sit out by the... Very disappointed with this hotel, especially being a Hyatt Gold member. Worst Hyatt I have ever stayed in. Plaster on walls with incomplete unfinished project. Rusted fixtures. Filthy old tub, feces under toilet seat. Stains on couch, holes in the sheet. Down comforter was way down, completely flattened. I took pictures of all these things to send to corporate. Would not stay here (more like an upgraded motel 6. Lobby completely fools you.

Hotel is out dated. Mattress needs to be replaced. Staff was excellent. Bar and staff very good. My sister got stuck in the elevator the day before I arrived. We waited for staff to bring up our luggage and after 20 mins I went down found our cart and brought it up my self. Getting out of the elevator on my floor found a lot of white plaster or paint on the floor and mentioned it to the desk when I checked out 2 days later it was still there. Great location for walking to diner and casino... Read more

Hotel run down. Dark and dreary. Carpet horrible, bad experience, we checked out and went to another hotel. Needs renovation now. The lovely patio had very uncomfortable chairs and no table. Hyatt should be ashamed,

We chose this property to facilitate our attendance at the Desert Trip concert, and were elated with the accommodations and service. We are loyal to the Hyatt brand as the quality is consistent across all properties. And, as it relates to the Hyatt Palm Springs, we were more than pleased by the way that we were treated. Highly Recommend!!!

I have stayed at Hyatt Hotel for a while after been a fan of Kinmpton boutique Hotels . I travel alot and expect a great team at all locations however at the Palm springs Locaction i have not had the best of luck with the overall experience. ( to many challenges with evrey stay ) Sadly i will not return to this Hyatt location . As a Diamond level member I feel at this location its not considered with the experience as a loyale guest

The hotel is in a convenient location in downtown Palm Springs. The rooms are nice and spacious. Average with regard to room amenities. I would have expected more amenities given our price points. However the staff is less than helpful with knowledge of what is around the hotel and how to get places. Be prepared to navigate your own trip.
