Stay was back in October 2016. When we checked in at the front desk, they referred us to the concierge and get some great dining deals... Turns out we were just referred there only to be persuaded to attend a "free" timeshare presentation. Spoke to Abel who was the concierge on duty at the time. He talked us into attending a time share presentation at another resort in Palm Springs and we would get some freebies. The resort looked cool, so we decided to take him up on it. To attend, we had to p... Read more

We are Diamond Resort International (DRI)members. A few raters said DRI members get upgraded rooms routinely. Perhaps. Would that be surprising or an upfront paid benefit of membership, I ask rhetorically. Anyhow, I can only rate the place based on my personal experience and that is as a DRI member. We stayed in room T113, 1st floor near the reception area. So we have no elevator experience. This end of the hall is short. Rooms T105-T119 are twice as far away from the reception/front exit than ... Read more

We had just stayed in this resort, and had a few concerns upon reading some other reviews about it. First off, staff is a 10 out of 10 for service and friendliness. Very helpful with any questions or concerns, and any issues we had brought up were tended to quickly. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about it, except the carpeting in the hallways is tired and needs replacing. The suite itself suited our needs, and even though it is dated, everything was functional. Square footage was very large ... Read more

I had read many mixed reviews on this place. We checked in and it is true that the hotel wasn't the nicest in town but the price was right and is just in need of some updates. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our suite was HUGE!!!! It was great for our two boys. Everything was clean and tidy. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. The pool area was well maintained. This place could definitely use a facelift but that didn't prevent us from having a great time. It was a 5 minute walk to the m... Read more

First of all - this is not a resort. If you ask me, is not even a hotel on the way it shows; it's more like a run down motel. The rooms on this hotel should not be up for rent (at least the room we got). Not only that everything is VERY old, but minimum that a hotel room should have is not meet. The bathroom is falling apart; paint is peeling, cabinets are in the worst shape, the shower is rusty. In the bedroom the bed skort is wrinkled beyond explanation, the mattress pad is stained, the car... Read more

Online the pictures of the Marquiz Villas looked very nice. I had stayed there about 25 years ago so I was reticent about giving it another try so many years later. I called ahead because the website said that units had been undergoing ongoing renovations. I am always skeptical of situations like that. I was assured on the phone that the pool area was functional and that the units had fresh paint and carpet. I asked to not be directly next to an elevator or ice machine, but near to them wou... First of all I have to say how great the staff are, their number one concern is you. With that being said, this place is very dated. The grounds themselves are well groomed and it looks if as more attention is given to them than the rooms. My husband called in advance to request a king size room (we booked through our vacation club) and was told they did not have any available until Sunday which was ok with us. We checked in and had a double twin bed room, the next day we were put in a king size... Read more

Seldom the rooms are that large, so change the curtains, bedlinnen,paintings....and a little bit of fresh and happy...holidaycolours would change a lot! Kitchen is well equiped and the large double bathroom is nice. The pool was o.k but the cussions on the chairs were bleu a long time ago. It gives a sad impression....

If you just accept that this place is older and you won't have the newest furniture you can appreciate how amazing it is to have a giant suite instead of a tiny fancy hotel room. For the same price as a hotel, if not cheaper, this place is incredible for a family trip. Separate rooms and so much room for activities!!!

We found Marquis Villas through our vacation club. After reading some of the reviews on TripAdvisor I was a little apprehensive about staying there but decided to take a leap of faith (in our vacation club) and make reservations anyway. Boy, am I glad we did! What a great place! Our condo was the largest 1 bedroom condo we've ever stayed in. The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The elevator was working (I read previous reviews complaining it was not). The resort itself was well mainta... Read more
