I was travelling with 3 young people to go to Coachella. We had researched the various accommodation packages and this one seemed to fit our needs best. Our unit had two bedrooms, two full baths, and a kitchen and living area and a porch too. The kitchen was dated, but had everything you need, including a full size fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The breakfast buffet was really good, with lots of hot food choices (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, potatoes, etc), yogurt, oatmeal, etc. Plus c... Read more

We love staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott on Cook St in Palm Desert, ca. The breakfasts are great. A great selection of hot and cold food in the mornings along with coffee, tea and juices. In addition Monday- Wednesday's they have complementary evening light appetizers and beer and wine at no additional cost. Tonight is enchiladas. Each night it's different. They have a pool and courts. The rooms are very large and consist of a bed, bathroom, a small kitchen with a microwave, refr... Read more

Having a small kitchen makes a huge difference for us. In addition, the breakfast buffet has a lot of selections. The location is fairly convenient -- you have to drive everywhere but it's not far to the center of Palm Desert, to Costco, or to the freeway. We really like the openness in the studio apartment as we have lots of light through two large windows and a door.

This property is located right off the 10 at the Cook Street exit making it convenient to Palm Desert and La Quinta with Rancho Mirage also only about a 10-15 min. drive. If you choose not to utilize your in-room kitchen, there is an Apple Bee's in the adjacent parking lot to walk to, but much better dining options are nearby if you're willing to drive. Check-in proved to be a bit difficult as they gave us a set of keys that didn't work. We returned to the desk and got another set which also did... Read more

We enjoyed our stay here. They have several pools and hot tubs. They are set up with building numbers, condo style living. We enjoyed the breakfast too. Parking got a little tight. Most of the local restaurant are not within walking distance, but there is an Applebee's next door.

Straight to the point, our first room had spotted carpet and a stained couch. Room #2, we were tutored on how to open the jammed entrance door handle and were told we will be ok. Bedtime presented spotted sheets of the "monthly" kind and yet a fourth call to the front desk . Inconvenience absolutely yet more importantly a display of total disregard for customers health and safety. The engineer that was sent to our room at 11:30pm to change sheets was amazing. Oh, Issue #4, our amazing engineer ... Read more

This was our 3rd stay at this Cook Rd. Residence Inn in Palm Desert, and as always a wonderful stay. We had chosen this location as it is a couple of miles south of I-10 yet close enough to Ranch Mirage and Palm Springs and a Sam's Club for cheap gas. The suite was great with a full kitchen equipped with a full size refrigerator, comfortable writing desk, living room, king bed, separate shower/bath combo and toilet room, full sized double closet and separated sink area. I stayed here for a pleasant very quiet week in late May in a hot Palm Desert summer to convalesce while pottering around Joshua Tree. It was so nice I'm going back again in late June. The suites are well appointed with robust furniture, bath room clean and tidy and kitchen adequately equipped. During the heat of the day I spend most of my day slumped out on the L shaped sofa and ventured out in the evenings once the temperature dropped below 100F. Grounds and swimming pool well kept. Very good hotel. We only stayed one night but if we were staying for any length of time we would stay here as it provides a studio look with full kitchen for the room. Nice patio also for viewing the golf course. Nice pool with 3 hot tubs. Excellent breakfast and it also provides snacks, soft drinks and adult beverages in the evening.

We are never disappointed with Marriott properties and this hotel was no exception. It was perfect for our 2 day Father's Day Getaway! The rooms are very nice, comfortable, and spacious. Everything is very clean too. The free breakfast as well as the mixer at night are especially our favorite. We actually didn't even have to go out to dinner because of the free food! And the pool was nice. (Although my bf had to clean it himself because it was dirty..no big) Overall we would definitely recommend... Read more

It was a mixed bag for this stay. Positives: Rooms were up to par. Good clean facility. Nice room, pleasant reception and housekeeping staff. Close to local attractions. Everything was as I would expect from a RI. Negatives: I think we picked the wrong time to stay here. It was a very chaotic weekend. It seems that the RI is a destination for families to "camp out" for the holiday. The pool was packed from before noon to 10pm and after. There was bbq going from 4-after 10pm. Almost... Read more

The Residence Inn provides a home away from home. Every room is a spacious efficiency apartment with a kitchen, living room area, bedroom nook, bath, front and bathcloset, good storage space, and a patio or balcony. I especially enjoyed building 2 that abuts a golf course, so it's quiet, is steps away from the pool and breakfast room and has good birding (see photos). The complimentary breakfast has a good selection and the free internet is speedy. If you stay on a Mon, Tues., or Wed., you can ... Read more

Two bedroom suite was lovely, spacious and very well stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful. Maids were especially helpful. Free breakfast was good, and added to the overall value of the property. The pool was small and was always crowded, so we didn't use it. We stayed during a holiday weekend and still got a low rate. Great value. We will definitely return.

This hotel is a typical Residence Inn Hotel: substantial and comfortable. Location: This hotel is located just off the Interstate 10 freeway (use Monterey exit). It is a few miles drive to the inland main road (Hwy 111) that accesses most of the restaurants and shopping areas. Accommodations: The room was very clean and comfortable; and roomy enough with a king size bed. The bed was firm and provided a relaxing sleep. There is a small desk with desk chair, seating chair; and a flat screen TV... Read more

We stayed at this location with a large group for my daughters basketball tournament. The hotel was large and offered a lot on amenities for the kids and parents to enjoy. Each room offered a small but adequate kitchen and the beds were great. The pool area was always clean and the staff was very friendly. The house keeping staff were great also.

Very happy with the service and rooms at the Residence Inn Marrriot. I can highly recommend them for outstanding mid-range accommodation and I will be back! Thanks Marriot, keep up the brilliant service and spacious rooms! Loved the kitchen which was a bonus, and the bathrooms were nice and large too!

The studio had more than enough room for 4 granddaughters and us, including a crib and extra air mattress. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating in giving us extra towels and soap. Breakfast buffet was fairly typical, but had good choices to satisfy all four girls . . . fruit loops were a big hit . . . and us grandparents. The pool was nice, but a little small for the numbers of people using it. We really like having a full refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher, even thoug... Read more

This was one of the nicest and cleanest Residence Inns I've ever stayed at. From check-in to check-out everything was great. Good breakfast to get you on your way and a very nice afternoon reception to greet you back after a long hot day in the Palm desert/Palm Springs area. A bit far from the main boulevards but the drive 15-20 minute drive was worth the peace and quiet.

Spent a few days there while attending a family wedding. Excellence started at check-in, when the person took the time to discuss where on the property we wanted the room. We ended up with a 1st floor room facing the back. It was well laid out and more than comfortable for 2 people using the bed and fold-out couch. The room faced an open area and had a lovely little patio. The breakfast held each morning was one of the best I've seen. I'm not a morning person, so the usual eggs and waffle... Read more

The carpets were dirty and stained the exterior needs a good cleaning, leading up to our room the sidewalks were dirty the door to our room needed to be painted... it seems coming out of their off season all this would have been caught up with. Well, it's a Residence Inn. The rooms have seen better days but nothing is totally objectionable, but the neighbor's snoring! Walls are a bit thin and the snoring from the room next door was deafening. Kitchen was nice and contained everything needed to do some cooking. I used the refrigerator and the coffee pot. That was enough for me! Staff is attentive and front desk reasonable friendly. I did find their morning breakfast exceptional for a complimentary hotel breakfast. Their scrambled egg... Read more

This hotel in Palm Desert had consistently great reviews and so we looked forward to staying there. When we arrived, the front desk clerk upgraded us (without asking) to the 2-bedroom-suite-2 doubles-queen. We also asked for a quiet 2nd floor suite overlooking the gorgeous mountains/golf course and we got that room. It was a fabulous suite - so roomy and with a wonderful view! The location and quality of services at this hotel has made it a favorite when we are going into or out of Los Angeles area. Check in is efficient and the layout of the rooms and buildings make the hotel grounds seem more like a campus than the standard double loaded corridors found at similar hotels. If you are in need of a place to stay and prefer Residence Inn's this is the place for you. This particular Residence Inn is quite large. We enjoyed our stay at Residence Inn Palm Desert. We are Marriot Loyalty plan members and have stayed at a variety of Residence Inn properties in the past. We made our reservation online, directly with the hotel. Price was very reasonable. Pool area is lovely with shady areas as well as full sun. Towel service was good. I have been staying at this particular Residence Inn multiple times over 3 years, and this location has really declined in the last couple of months.
