First although I gave this a 4 it is not a 4 star hotel. It is a typical Holiday Inn Express. The rate was very good. Below $80. The breakfast was surprisingly decent. It is a good location if you want to wander El Paso and the other dessert cities but a little drive if you want the action of Palm Springs. If you want to be able to walk into Palm Springs choose another hotel.

We stayed here with a group for our golf tournament. Very clean and accommodating. Pool was nicer than expected. Good place for our group to hang out and eat pizza. Breakfast was fresh and healthy with quite a few selections, but no waffle maker. Coffee was available all day.

I stayed here for 3 nights, the service was good, the hotel and room were clean and the breakfast was the normal Holiday Inn Express Breakfast. The wifi was terrible, I could get connected but the speed was similar to dial up. The hotel maybe undergoing a refresh as my colleagues had rooms that had been newly renovated.

Visited the area with my son and family and stayed overnight. This is the best Holiday Inn Express I have stayed at. Complimentary breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices available, even if the breakfast area was a little on the small side. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Staff extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

This hotel was very nice. It had great rooms, lovely staff, and it was beautiful. The hotel was in a really good location with stores, and restaurants really close, or right next to it. The hotel also has a doctor's office right next door, in case you're sick. Sadly, I had to use it.

Last minute weekend getaway. Beautiful hotel. Room was large and clean. Large TV with fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable. Free breakfast was great. Easy check in. Later moved to a different hotel to be closer to Palm Springs. Big mistake.

This is a very nice HIE. The staff was friendly, breakfast was yummy, and the room very comfy. The only con was the internet which was slow in the evening 8-11pm. I had to use my phone's hotspot. Check-in and check-out was a breeze.

Even though the price was good, don't get a room facing the street if you expect to sleep. Breakfast was poor even though it was free. You had to get a coupon in order to get a newspaper...crazy !! Will not return.

Staff was very professional with a friendly smile. Room very clean and efficient. Their breakfast is always a delight. Just what you need to start your day. The property is located near restaurants that are all within walking distance.

Cordial staff, nice location, great room! Very pleased with everything. They were helpful, the room was well-appointed and very comfortable, and the price was quite reasonable. I will definitely use this place again.

The hotel is currently undergoing some renovation. The hallways are now very bright and clean. In the rooms however you can still see that this is an old hotel. The fresh paint cannot really hide that. But you can sleep well in the comfortable beds. One of the bigger problems was the very bad odour in the bathroom. Not sure where it came from. The AC has a thermostat, but one that does not work very well. And the AC is really loud. Our room had a balcony which was nice, but it needs cleaning.... Read more

The whole entourage of this holiday inn is nice, unfortunately during our stay the swimming pool was dirty due to maintenance or renovation works. After several complaints the manager gave us an access card for the best western plus, next to our hotel. The room was good, the ac unit a bit noisy. Breakfast was according to hie norms. We loved the pool, it's just so bad we couldn't use it....

This hotel was good for the price the beds were comfy. The pool was a little bit dirty but then again this isn't a resort the wifi was slow but the breakfast was good, they had eggs, bacon, pancakes, sausage etc. Overall it was a good experience.

This is my second visit to this budget-friendly hotel. Hot breakfast downstairs in the Lobby each day, Pool area, elevators, interior corridors and fresh, clean, updated rooms. The Common areas are starting to show wear and tear vs. 2 years ago when I was there, specifically, the Lobby tile flooring, old, tired elevator interior, but some new construction going on, downstairs, as well. A unique thing about this hotel is that they have an electrical back-up system if the City power goes down, ... Read more

This is a decent place. Clean and freshly renovated. Breakfast was typical of Holiday Inn Express. They have a nice pool. Comfortable beds. The things I didn't like were the loud air conditioner that was very obtrusive and I can sleep though anything. The other thing is they renovated the hotel rooms and kept the single pane windows and cheap sliding doors which allow a lot of sound in from the loud katydids.

We visit this hotel every time we visit palm springs. We love it. Great views and location e.t.c. However I wasn't too keen on the modern re-vamp. Appeared very cold, masculine and businesslike. Love the balconies over the pool and hot tub. However we encountered a completely crazy elderly female night employee. She was so rude when telling us to get out of the pool, even though we were visible moving to leave. She just stood their and watched us up close whilst we dried and tutted at us yellin... Read more

We found the hotel on an app on the phone as we drove into the area. A phone call made our reservation. We stayed one night, Nice room, very tall ceiling in the room, clean, plenty of outlet for our electronic devices, nice and accommodating front desk personnel. It is conveniently located a short walking distance from the River (upscale shopping center including restaurants and a movie theater). It is also near Palm Springs and other neighboring communities and places to visit. Continental... Read more

We stayed here for one night while golfing in the desert and were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and convenience of the inn. Dinner choices abound just walking across the street and the inn provides breakfast on site. Fresh fruit was always available in the lobby along with a helpful, welcoming staff.

I booked a room at Holiday Inn Express in Palm Desert for myself and a friend to attend the Desert Trip music festival. The outside and lobby is a little dated and southwestern, but don't let it fool you. The hotel is undergoing a renovation and the new rooms are clean, modern and sleek. The staff are super nice and accommodating and they are anxious to make their guests comfortable and happy. I will be back!!

I stayed here for two nights as a solo traveler and I was very pleasantly surprised. I was in Palm Springs to attend an aviation expo at the airport. Everyone has their own criteria for rating a given motel, and this one definitely exceeded my expectations. One is room lighting. And for me, size does matter--the room was indeed large, and the lighting was excellent. And speaking of size, the flat screen TV was a bit small, considering the viewing distance from the bed. Very comfortable bed, howe... Read more

We spent one night at this hotel. We normally don't mind staying at Holiday Inn Expresses - we know what to expect for the price - no frills but a clean room, quiet stay and a typical Holiday Inn complimentary breakfast. This hotel, however, falls short of other Holiday Inn Expresses we've stayed at. There is noisy construction going on somewhere close to the lobby. The room was musty, even though the air conditioner had been turned on. The towels are arranged on the rack in the bathroom so that... Read more

Nice hotel great breakfast it comes with the stay that's always nice when you don't have to go hunt something to eat in the mornings. Been all over the country and always seem to stay in holiday inn express when available it's no smoking with is the best reason other than they have always been great places to stay have never encountered a bad one . They are clean and always comfortable beds and the breakfast are good unlike some places that say continental breakfast I guess that means a roll and... Read more

We got a room for a family of three that included breakfast for $80. The lobby was being renovated but they had it all straightened up by breakfast. Very friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and good hot, strong showers. In what seems like a nice safe part of town. Less than 45 minutes from the south entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Definitely a good choice for a place to stay on the way to visit the park.

Had I known they were remodeling in the lobby area, I wouldn't have stayed here. My friend had a hard time with the dust. Typical Holiday Inn Express with ok breakfast. Channel line up page in the room is wrong and there is no guide.

As you enter this property you approach some beautifully tended gardens at the front. Outside there are tables and chairs. The entrance to this property is appealing. There is construction going on in the lobby at the moment. It stops at 5pm. Based on our room decor it will be worthwhile. Check in was very pleasant and informative. The manager also greeted us and apologised for the construction. Our room looked like new. Fresh carpets, floor tile and curtains. New sink and taps. Lots of... Read more

Yes, they were doing an upgrade to the lobby when I visited but it minimally impacted my stay. My room was very comfortable and reasonably priced. The breakfast was very good as is the location. The pool looked wonderful and very clean but I did not utilize it. Close to just about everything in the area and easy to get to. Golf is close by but of course with 120 golf choices in the area every motel is close to one. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

We were not told that there was a renovation in progress. The hotel was torn up. We walked into a dark lobby that had no coverings on the floor. There was a "desk" yo check in at however I could not find another there. I wasn't even sure if the hotel was open. There was plastic covering openings and doorways. The lights were all out. See the photos of the lobby. Those are taken inside the lobby on the second floor looking down. That is not outside! That is an interior space. The room was very od... Read more

I have been a customer of this property since the 1980's. It has always been very convenient, clean and is comfortable. Currently, the lobby is undergoing remodeling, so the dust and construction gear was annoying. The rooms were completed and very modern and comfortable!
