A few friends and I got away for three days to play golf in and around the Palm Desert and La Quinta area and this was a nice place to stay that kept us around the area. The Embassy Suites Palm Desert was an older hotel and possibly was something else at some point but the rooms were nice, the staff was very friendly and helpful and you always noticed the workers keeping the place as clean as they could. The check in staff was very courteous and quick to get us our rooms. The only draw back was... Read more

I am very particular about the hotels I visit. I typically am traveling for business so by the time I reach my hotel I want to pamper me with good food, good, comfortable clean rooms and a totally relaxing atmosphere. This hotel is a work in progress. No one to help with my many bags. Elevators in disrepair, grounds need work, pavement is broken , potential liability. Facing a parking lot, No view , room is dark, furniture is obviously worn and has seen better days. Online pricing was diff... Read more

The very inexpensive summer rate led us to this property expecting it to be similar to other Embassy Suites .However it is not up to Embassy Suites standards. The clerk who checked us in was far from welcoming and acted like "it was just a job". The room furnishings were nice, but there was an extremely unpleasant odor which permeated everything including our clothes when we unpacked them at home. The bathroom was the size of an airplane bathroom. It was the smallest that I have ever seen in an ... Read more

Visiting family in the area, we picked this hotel over a BW across the street. It was just an ok property, I was just expecting a better experience based on the large number of other Embassy Suite properties I've stayed at. The rooms were dated, not well taken care of, problems with the electrical, walls very thin -- not great for loud parties going on several nights. I think there may be worse hotels in the area. So just go in knowing you may not be getting the typical Hilton experience you wou... Read more

The hotel, breakfast, staff, room, and reception hour was great. I had a hard time getting the room cold enough, it says its was set at 65, I doubt it ever got below 74 in the room. I traveled with a group, all three rooms had the same issue.

When we travel we stay at Hilton Properties. This hotel was not what we expected. The hotel is VERY big, with many rooms and many, many people. There was some remodeling going on and new furniture being moved about. The room we stayed in was clean but old. Happy hour was only made good by the gentleman that served the people. He was extremely good at his job and was totally organized. Cannot say that about breakfast the following morning. There of course was a line. We try always to go at the ea... Read more

On the way from Tucson to LA, there are few viable choices in this god-forsaken desert. This hotel had passable, good AC, good food and nice suites but it is a long way from I-10. The AC had a huge booster station on it but still struggled to keep up. The main restaurant was under remodeling but we got great room service and a nice breakfast. We stayed here only for one night on our trip from Seattle to Phoenix. We were aware that some remodeling was going on, although the extent was more than expected. Our room was ready when we checked-in, so we immediately unloaded the car and made our way to the room. They bent over backwards to serve us. It's a non-smoking hotel, but not everyone "plays by the rules". So, when I found the rooms of my guests for my Jewelry-Making Retreat smelled of smoke, they quickly gave us different ones. They accommodated early check-in for 2 of my guests--one even as earlier as 10:30am (and check-in is normally at 4pm)! The beds varied in softness, but each guest got just what they needed! We stayed at the Embassy Suites and were impressed with the value and the service. The new lobby looks wonderful. It is visible that they need to refurbish the pool area but it was still open and useable. The month of July is programmed for the redo on the pool so if you stay then you need to be aware of this. We walked and it is interesting that a walk around gets you a 4 mile walk with sidewalks and no traffic. The evening reception and breakfast was wonderful.

This is an older property that has more charm than the typical chain hotel. Many improvements have already been made. For example, the lobby is freshly redecorated and has air conditioning that works very well. The guest rooms are another matter, however. This is the desert. Outward appearances are decent for the most part, but after staying, I'm shocked it's a Hilton property. We stayed over the holiday weekend, and so many things made us question what was really going on beneath the surface at this property. I also was treated extremely well by Francisco, who helped me with my bag... Read more

Loved our stay! One bedroom suite was very nice, clean and cool, especially considering how hot it was outside. They have an AMAZING complimentary breakfast and overall a great price for the stay. Highly recommended them. Will definitely come back!

Rooms were large and well laid out. Very spacious. Excellent omelettes for breakfast. We were on a road trip so were only there one night but we would certainly stay again if in the area. There are good restaurants and a Starbucks within walking distance. Price was very reasonable for a busy Labor Day weekend.

We traveled to the Palm Desert, La Quinta area to look into buying a home in the area. I have traveled with Embassy Suites many times in the past and was delighted to see a summer rate of $80+ for a room at this location. We noticed upon driving into the faciltity that the parking area is in serious need of new black top. The current driving area is cracked and in poor shape. Not a good first impression. We were greeted promplty, professionally at the front desk by Esther. She processed our... Read more

Hotel was dated, bathroom was very small, some of the staff did not speak english, the restaurant was being remodeled and first point of contact was not gracious. The mattress was very soft so if you were on the edge you could fall on the floor

The Embassy Suite name and the Hilton name have always meant quality and class, however if you're looking for that in the Palm Desert ES you will be disappointed. First the positive; Clean room, pleasant staff ( non English speaking ), quiet, and comfortable beds. Now the not so positive...The pool looked like something out of a third world country. tiles missing, dirty, just over all disgusting. The bathroom in our room had paint peeling from the warped door, it looked like it hasn't been painted... Read more

Great place to stay. The rooms are excellent and the beds are one of the best I have ever had in a hotel but the bathrooms need to be updated. I stayed twice in a week in 2 different rooms and in both rooms the bathroom sink stopper was broken and one of the soap dishes in the bath tub was broken. The staff is excellent especially Kenny and Christian during the evening reception.

We are currently staying here and agree with the reviews that it is in need of renovations. When booking The pictures looked nicer than What we are seeing.Very tired looking inside and outside.I have never stayed at an embassy suites before but had heard good things about Embassy Suites. I assumed wrongly that because it is in the palm desert area it would be nicer . It is nice to have breakfast included but it looks like the whole place needs a good power wash.I wouldn't stay here again.Staff ... Read more

Room was comfortable. Hotel seems a bit run down and it appears it will be getting a rehab in the near future. Decent quality for the price. Free breakfast was great! Evening managers reception food options were lacking but the drinks were good. For what I paid at less than ninety a night it was ok. Pool was nice but drinks were over priced. $5 for a kids virgin daiquiri was a bit much. Staff was friendly!

Booked two days before the Labor Day - it looks nice on the picture. Reception area - 8 out 10, room is not too bad also, like 7 out 10, common areas are horrible like 3 out 10, swimming pool has been designed maybe for ~ 15 people not hundreds in the heat above 100 F, they have to convert their tennis courts to swimming pools, nobody plays there - you have to be insane to play in such heat, it is just waste of territory. Breakfast it is like in 2 star hotel - love or leave it. Best to all.

Loved staying in Embassy's, most enjoyable hotel. Had the pleasure of staying for 3 weeks, work related and they made me feel at home. Love the staff and felt secure as a single traveler to stay there.

I just returned (today) from a 2 night stay at this hotel. The hotel is very old, not well cared for and feels unkempt. I have stayed at many Embassy Suites and this is not anywhere near on par with my past experiences. Also strange odor lingers around the grounds, pool area and restaurant. The staff is the rudest I have EVER encountered. The only nice people on staff were Christian and Marcos. Our cleaning service did not show up until 6pm to tidy up our room and was incredibly rude when I dec... Read more
