There are 2 hotels on the same lot, residence and courtyard. We stayed at courtyard. The room was standard, nothing grand yet nothing lacking (the door was extremely heavy which was hard for the kids and my elder parents to open) but other than that it was fine. We were there for the weekend of Easter as it wasn't crowded. We spent most of our time at the pool and my only complaint was that they didn't empty the overstuffed trashcans for 2 days. Other than that it was pleasant and we would g... Read more

If I could rate this in the negative star range, I would... While staying here for coachella weekend 2, we came back the last night to our room ransacked. Someone with a key came in when we were at festival and robbed us. They took 2 watches (Michael Kors and movado), an iPad, laptop, prescription bottles, Nintendo 3ds, wallet with credit cards, all the cash, multiple pairs of designer sunglasses, and beats headphones. Probably a lot more that we don't even know of. Our room was not the only v... Read more

I had a business weekend in Palm Springs and found this spot which ended up being 4 miles from our event! Check in was a smooth and quick process = 5stars. The room was perfect, bed comfy, plenty of room = 5 stars. There was citrus water plus cookie treats in the lobby AND they give you a little gift bag upon check-in. Definitely 5 stars for the small things that make a HUGE difference!!!

We've stayed at this hotel several times and was pleasantly surprised to see how beautiful our room was with the new decor. Gorgeous gray wallpaper and new very modern furniture. Crisp white bedspread and very comfortable bed and linens. Lobby is lovely. The special feature about this hotel is its location. It is maybe a mile from I-10 freeway and this works for long road trips with an overnight stay.

We arrived at 1:30 PM, for a 3:00 check-in. We were told that no rooms were available until about 3:00 PM, so we went to the closest casino. After losing $80 (between the 2 of us) on Penny Slots, we return to the hotel at 3:20 PM, and was told that there were no clean rooms. The desk employee invited us to go have a drink in the bar, that our room would be ready soon. As we were leaving the front desk, a room became available. We were very impressed with the beautiful decor and cleanliness. It e... Read more

The Marriott Courtyard represents a good value. Don't expect luxury, but if what's most important is a good night's sleep and easy access to things like coffee, it's got that covered. It appears to have been recently updated, with new furniture that is very guest friendly - lots of outlets and even USB charging outlets. It has by far the largest desk I've seen in a hotel so that you can open your computer and spread out and get some work done. It was crowded this weekend, yet the rooms remaine... Read more

We were at the end of a 2 week road trip and booked this due to price and location...to be on and off the freeway quickly. What we ended up with was such a nice surprise. Room was cool whe we walked in the door, and considering our car was showing a temperature of 119, that was a big deal. Then, only minutes after arriving in our room we received a call from the front desk asking if our room was satisfactory. That was very unexpected for a Courtyard but very impressive. Location was minutes fro... Read more

This hotel is just average with cleanliness and maintenance not their main priority. The door to my room didn't latch and it took me two phone calls to the front desk for them to come up. Once they came up they could not fix the latch so they just took the wall plate out so it "kind of" worked. The pool is murky and the tiles are covered in a thick layer skin oil and sunscreen that hasn't been cleaned off in a very long time. We went the the Residence Inn pool next door and it was much cleaner ... Read more

The room was an everyday, average and in the usual way Courtyard room. The A/C worked AWESOME on a day that struck well over 100 degrees. I am not happy with the bistro. My bartender "eye-balled" all my drinks and she was a crappy guesser. I seen over $80 on drinks and they were all VERY weak! It is my hope that the hotel will require the use of a jigger for all liquor purchases. I feel cheated! I'll likely stay elsewhere over this feeling. Both the JW Marriott and the Renaissance in Ind... Read more

Aussies had a lovely relaxing evening at the Courtyard Palm Springs. doorway from our room on to the courtyard, pool, spa, fireplace and lovely chairs and area to relax after traveling. Walking distance to restaurants or you could dine in. Not far from anything really:O) Staff where very helpful and friendly, thanks for a fun time.

Okay, maybe it was the hot summer heat and our exposure to the staff was limited to three people, but they weren't that friendly. One did not even respond with a "hello" when we greeted her. Staff can make or break a stay decision. The hotel itself is a typical Courtyard and during the summer it is really a cheap place to stay. It is a great location if you have things within Palm Desert you want to do and it is only about a 20 minute drive to Palm Springs. Our room seemed liked it was reno... Read more

I stayed here for 3 nights in July and was very disappointed with the way that the pool was maintained. With the temperatures being in excess of 110', there is no excuse for the pool area to be neglected! I went out to the pool around 4pm and was the only guest there - when I went to get in I noticed a disgusting filmy glaze on top of the water, the water was warm and there were dead bugs floating around the edges of the water. I immediately went in to notify someone at the front desk and the... Read more

A great nice clean place To stay. Very friendly staff and a bistro to get food at. A nice pool too. It sits next door to Applebee's so if you like that it's right next door. It's a quiet location. I will stay there again. They have lots of parking so no worries in that department. Close drive to many things in Palm Desert and it's easy off and on to the freeway. Yet very quiet location.

I have stayed at the Courtyard in Palm Desert many times and have always found it comfortable and convenient to restaurants and stores. The personnel are particularly friendly and helpful, especially Yedith who attended to our needs dutifully. She's a real asset for Courtyard.

We loved this place based on cleanliness, style, hospitality and comfort. We took 1 star away based on the bistro. Good selection is minimal and as far as we could tell, is pre made and reheated. I'm not sure about that, but why else can you not order a snack with cheese removed? The hotel suggested the bistro to us twice, pushing it with raving comments. But it left us feeling flat. Other than the food, this place is great! Friendly and accommodating staff, good service, clean and comfortable... Read more

Things got off to a rocky start when I walked all the way to the east side of the building for the elevator, then had to walk all the way to the west side of the property for my room...only to have my key card not work....the staff said the "battery on the door is dying"...but did not change me to another room...!? Then, I had to contemplate .driving 2 hours HOME, rather than listening to the party going on at the pool...the staff informed me that there were 90 minutes left before curfew. My tri... Read more

Imagine how overjoyed we were when told that we were upgraded to a suite. Unfortunately, we booked this hotel because we wanted a balcony and the suite we were given had none. We had the view of half a wall. There is a swimming pool at the back of the hotel, but we didn't try it as it was always full of people. The hotel has only three floors, but believe me when I say the elevator takes forever. Over-all though, our stay was very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. There was a living a... Read more

Friendly staff and generous with towels. Beds have to be some of the most comfortable in the hotel industry... upon check out I inquired about the "local bid fee" on my bill; the nice front desk agent smiled and replied "I don't know just another tax". Surely all true, but the term sounds like I just got taxed for choosing to do business with you. I would like to know where this 3% fee goes??

I stayed here a few years ago, and it was ok, but this time I'm glad my husband had a certificate for a free room. If I actually had to pay $250 to $300 for this room I would be really disappointed. The room decor looks old. Maybe it's supposed to be "Retro" Not great. No Amenities at all, only cheap plastic glasses in the room, very small soap, shampoo etc. The towels are really thin and there are not many. I wanted to have wine in my room so I went downstairs to ask if they had wine gla... Read more

I stayed here for one night over Desert Trip Weekend 1. The building itself was average, I understood that it had just gone through a renovation. At the front desk they were qucik with checking me in and the only complaint was that when i asked if they could add my SPG number to get my points, the girl at the front desk looked at me confused and asked what i was speaking about. Since Marriott and Starwood have now merged and it was no secret I would of just assumed that she would be aware. She w... Read more

Came to town for a formal event at a nearby luxury hotel but that facility was full and we needed something nearby. We had everything we needed here and check-in was quick and efficient. I needed an iron and ironing board for my suitcase crushed gown and it was right at my fingertips, no need to call anyone or wait for staff to do it. A coffee-maker, mini-fridge, and ice machine is down the hall so we had all we needed to get ready. You might have a little trouble finding snacks before the l... Read more
