Second Time Staying at this hotel. Stayed Premium Club Level Month of May Okay I will admit this is not a biased review, it is a review based on experience with Disney. Please let me provide a bit of background, stayed at most deluxe Disney hotels in Fla and Ca. Beach Club is my all time favorite, until our second stay at Dland Hotel, the OG. The rooms are AWESOME. They are huge and can fit a family of four comfortably, they are clean, they are themed. Of course I play the Resort Video Guide the... Read more

This was our first trip with a 3.5 yr old to Disneyland. We checked in quite late (11pm) and it was a bit confusing as there was no one at the gate and nothing was coming out of the ticket machine. So, we just pulled forward. Short term parking is still a bit of a haul if you have luggage and a kiddo and no help was to be found. Somehow we dragged it all over. At check-in, I was a bit frustrated with the staff person that assisted me because she just wanted to hand me a bunch of papers and se... Read more

We decided to stay at the Disneyland Hotel because of the iconic nature of this property. I first visited this hotel in 1975 on my first visit to the USA and Disneyland. My friend and I rode the monorail into the Hotel lobby and were enthralled. We had never seen anything like this hotel, we were, of course young and poor and were staying in one of the cheaper properties in the area. The next time I visited Disneyland was with my husband and children in 1991. We still couldn't afford to stay a... Read more

It was my 2 1/2 years old first Disneyland visit, and my first return after 8 years. We decided to stay at Disneyland hotel because it is close to the parks, and we were hoping for the Disney experience here. Our room is spacious and had a nice view of the swimming pool. The staff were nice. The pool, kid water slide and hot tub were great. The distance to the park down town Disneyland was great. But it is lacking the magical experience I was hoping for. We had a room in the adventure tower overlooking the main pool. the rooms are very spacious and bathrooms are huge, the beds are comfortable. My son went to look for the pop machines and get us some drinks but he needed change, instead of giving him change for his 10.00 they just asked him what he was needing and gave him a ice bucket full of pops for us for free. The walk to the park is short. The kids met 5 different characters in the lobby, and we also had breakfast at goofys kitchen. The p... Read more

This was my family's first stay at the Disneyland Hotel. We just loved the whole experience. We were there for our daughter's dance competition. The atmosphere at the hotel is great. The room was fabulous. Our view was of Downtown Disney. Even though there were long waits at the elevator it still did not spoil our stay here. We definitely will be staying here again next year.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for Mother's Day weekend. We were there for the Tinkerbell Half Marathon. I had stayed at the Disneyland hotel back in 1976 and had such wonderful memories of the monorail and how beautiful the hotel was so we decided to splurge and pay the higher price for this hotel. Check in was fast and easy. The hotel was completely booked and our room was not ready. We were traveling with my 5 year old niece. The agent asked if it was her first visit and who her favorite ... While in CA visiting some relatives, my 9yo and I spent 3 nights at DL hotel. We stayed in one of the Concierge rooms at the hotel and were able to enjoy the lounge in the hotel. Our room was generously spacious for the two of us, and would have been still very roomy if the rest of my family had been with us. The room was spotless, and we only had an issue with one drawer in the dresser that did not want to stay shut. Given the placement of the dresser, it was a potential hazard since it wo... Read more

I grew up in Arizona, frequenting Disneyland- never stayed at the hotel, but was always walking around the grounds and shopping. Then I started going to Orlando, stayed onsite multiple times. Now, when I returned to DLH, I was disappointed. The grounds were nice and well kept, but not special. The rooms had hidden Mickeys and a few nice touches, but not Magic. Pros: The rooms were clean and the pool area was well maintained. The location is great for people that can handle some walking since you can walk through Downtown Disney into the parks. Check-in line was slow but Cast were great. *Location is fantastic with a short walk to monorail or both park entrances. *Had a premium downtown Disney view in adventure tower which allowed for fireworks viewing. *CAUTION: Live music each night outside of ESPN is loud and can easily be heard in these rooms. We stayed here to splurge and get the magic hour and it was the last hotel on property that was available. Only through Trip Advisor though. Totally awesome if you want to watch the 9:30 fireworks from your room. Pool is very orderly. Lots of rules and lifeguards, which is good for so many kids in the pool. They have floaties and lifevests for those who can't swim. And also free swim diapers for the babies. No pool toys or snorkels but li... Read more

The hotel is very nice and clean and for those who don't want to feel like you're in Disney 24 hrs a day- the theme is classical and shows memorabilias from Walt Disney. We stayed in the main building and the room was clean and comfortable with nice Disney touches. The view was not great - they were working on the pool so it was drained and we were looking at rooftops of other buildings. Also the lobby is not as welcoming as other Disney properties we've stayed at. That being said, we wouldn't hesitate to stay again, but having stayed at the Grand Californian before, we would likely pick that for the atmosphere and closer proximity to the park.

If you're looking for the all out most magical experience, this is your hotel! While there are tons of great hotels in the area, the Disneyland Hotel incorporates the old school Disneyland history feel with the modern luxury hotel experience of today. All the hotel towers are themed, the character meals at Goofy's kitchen can be fun for anyone, and the Tiki lounge is probably the only place where you can still find life after 11pm.

This is our fourth trip in four years to Disneyland, but the first time we stayed at the Disneyland hotel. Our whole family loved it! You may see some reviews here saying it's the farthest from the parks, but honestly it's about three minutes extra of a walk compared to the other parks, and there's an option to take the Monorail right into Disneyland that's kind of fun. The pools and waterslides were awesome- my 6 year old daughter went down one of the slides about 10 times in a row before stopp... Read more

A great trip, really loved the hotel, we used the e-ticket club with the lounge and concierge service, that was great. The lounge was perfect place to escape after a long day in the parks. We ate at Goofy's kitchen for one breakfast and one dinner, the kids loved the characters and that is all part of the experience but I wouldn't rush back there, I have to say it had a rather unpleasant smell when we were there.

The Disneyland Hotel is conveniently located at the end of Downtown Disney. There are four towers built around a lagoon with two pools and a bar. The pools were outfitted with handicapped lifts. We stayed in the Adventure Tower which is located closest to Downtown Disney. This was a plus but also a minus as there are bands that play loud music just up the street unti 10 pm. Our corner room was large and well appointed with a desk, sofabed and a chair and ottoman. There were no USB outlets near t... Read more

We stayed one night at the 525.00 a night Disneyland Hotel so that we could spend time with our granddaughters, who were staying there with their parents. Everything--from the valet staff (excellent, excellent, especially Jordan) to the check-in to everyone in stores, around the pool, and in restaurants was efficient. The only downside is that the hotel represents itself as on park property, which it is (when compared to all the hotels on Harbor Blvd) but be advised that you will walk about 20 m... Read more

We are frequent visitors to Disney World but went to California this year. The hotel was great, room was big. Mousekeeping had room made up early and clean. We were in Adventure tower facing Downtown Disney. I rented a scooter since I had recent surgery. It was a hike to the parks but nothing compared to Florida. We went to pools once, the kids were disappointed the slide was closed. The hot tub was big but full of young unsupervised children. We didn't eat at the hotel, we ate in parks or down... Read more

Traveling with 7 people- had a suite in the hotel. Everything is a little over-priced, but hey- its Disney! The weather was a little drizzly so we had to spend $50 on ponchos. The pool would've been more fun if weather was better, but hot tub was still excellent! The laundry facility is nearby. They have character dining on site, but we didn't stay long enough to try it out. Looked like kids were having a blast with the characters in there. We asked for early check-in and pre-registered for ... Read more

We just finished our third stay in the Disneyland Hotel - the second since the renovation a few years ago. There are plenty of alternatives in the area but I wanted the Disney feel/nostalgia for my youngest daughter's first trip to Disneyland. There are often discounts for certain times of the year - especially mid week - so I was surprised there wasn't one for a Wed and Thu of the 3rd week of October. It was a good stay with a nice view of the pool area (which was a hit with my kids) but at ... Read more

We selected to stay here rather than The Grand Californian where we stayed for our last visit. The hotel was clean, modern, and had the perfect location for us. It was so easy to use the monorail into the park each morning. The lines were shorter than the main entrance into Disneyland. When it was time to go to California Adventure we took the monorail into Disneyland, pick up a fast pass and then headed over to CA Adventure. We also just walked the 7 minute walk through downtown Disney to ... Read more

I liked this hotel for its good location but we paid a ton of money and would have rather stayed at Grand California, better location and looks to be much nicer. It was nice but more of a 3 star and for the price that we paid for a two bedroom suite I expected much nicer. Food was good. Charter breakfast was really good. Location good and rooms clean but don't expect 5 star. If you go to the pool don't get a cabana. The service is not good. Not worth the money.

Check In very easy we were early but they had our rooms ready for us just after 12 pm. Staff were very nice and explained everything to us. However it is very expensive for what you get. There were 7 of us and we had a two bedroom suite. The room was very dated and the foldout bed in one of the Lounges very uncomfortable. The children loved that the lights lit up on the bed heads. Fantastic experience as part of our south California tour. Three nights in a club level room meant access to the lounge for breakfast and snacks throughout the day- which was a lovely base after a long tiring day in the parks. Did 7 nights at the Disneyland Hotel, 3 adults and 2 kids in a premium downtown view. Hotel is beautiful but expensive, but it is Disney! Grounds are immaculate and room comfortably accommodating 5 of us with nightly fireworks viewing. Our family of 5 stayed here to we could do the Halloween party until late. 5 of us easily fit in the room with 2 queen beds and a couch that converted to a daybed. The giant headboard lit up and sang us off to sleep. You could easily see the fireworks from the room. The hotel let us continue to park there even after we checked out and stored our bags. Souvenirs bought in the park could be sent to our room. I absolutely loved staying here. It's the best way to experience Disneyland.

I travel often and I've never spent the time to write one of these before - which should show you just how my whole experience with the DLH went. When we arrived at the park last week we decided it would be fun to stay the night. We went to the front desk at which point they told us they were sold out, but could put us on a waitlist and would call us if a room became available. We booked this hotel for a friend for an inclusive experience primary for their children but how everyone including adults enjoyed their stay was a huge bonus also makes me happy for making the right choice for their visit. Don't compare the room with new modern hotels instead for the historical landmark building and the intimate atmosphere of the great world of Disney, this is a must for every person to do it at least once a lifetime.

We are annual visitors to Disneyland, and over the past 15 years have stayed at the Grand Californian each time. We have been hearing such good things about the Disneyland Hotel, and the price was right this year so we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved it! I was hesitant to splurge on the Disneyland Hotel. However, based on the location and the service, it was well worth the value. The seating area and fireplace just outside the pool area was so inviting. Room service was reasonably priced and a much needed convenience when we were tired from walking all day. But I really new it was well worth the cost when my 4 year old got tired and made me carry her all the way back to the hotel. The proximity of the hotel was priceless!

My recent stay at the Disneyland Hotel was incredible. From the moment I stepped into the hotel I was greeted warmly, and all the cast members made me feel welcome.
