The staff and management are so accommodating and friendly. In several instances they went over the top with great service! My favorite place to stay is the Oversized suite, it is Beautiful and spacious and everything is walking distance away.

I believe the staff is trying hard and the staff was very nice. A three star could be justified. The beds were old and the TV was small. The room needed some maintenance but it was clean. When compared with a Disney hotel this place is a better deal. I slept in a king size bed my son slept on a full size bed and my daughter slept on a pull out. A smaller room with two queens is twice the price at a Disney Hotel. This hotel is right across the street and we walked to Disney every day we stayed.

We had a great stay. Perfect room for my family. We loved the separated private room with the day bed. We were a little disappointed by the room service since it was all boxed to go but that is how they do it here. Oh, and you definitely need more parking. Aside from that, we would stay again.

Rooms were ok however a little dusty/dirty and we found a cockroach in our first room this is why I've rated it as poor. I haven't rated it as terrible however as the staff were very friendly and the person on the desk on the 5th was very helpful and nice and moved us room straight away asking which we wanted to move to and showing us a selection. Also the hot tub was lovely and hot and I liked the fact Friday and Saturday night they have Disney movies on by the pool you can enjoy while swimmin... Read more

The only good thing about this hotel is that you can walk to the Disneyland parks. I made a reservation for a room with 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. What I actually got was a room with 1 queen bed and 1 trundle bed/day bed - not even a twin bed. The room was old and there worn, holes in the walls, dirty floors, and a chair by a desk that was broken. Beware of charges they do not tell you about. Reservation was paid for in advance, yet got socked with a charge of $26 per day for parking and s... Read more

We stayed at the Anabella on a trip to Disneyland. The location is great, a 15 minute walk from Downtown Disney. It is a motel style hotel (not a hotel at all, all motel rooms). The suite we stayed in was spacious but kind of gross. The floors were wood/laminate which seemed more hygienic than typical hotel carpeting. But our room was kind of gross. The bathroom floor was covered with discoloration that was obviously a mold problem. We found hair in our tub when we arrived and the room just f... Read more

Great price, great location (we could see CA Adventure when we stepped out of the room). The only downside to this hotel was after driving 16 hours, getting in at 3am and wanting to rest before hitting the parks, we had to pay for another day to check in early. I understand it's a business, but it would have been nice to have some sympathy, especially since we had my son with us.

The location was walking distance but not a 5 minute walk as the website indicated. It was more like a 15 minute walk. You are on the back side and have to walk through the California Adventure Hotel lobby. I'm a walker so I didn't mind and I enjoyed walking through the lobby, employees you passed where very friendly and always acknowledged you. The room was just ok, smelled musty, but we grinned and bared it. There are two pools a quiet one and a family one very rude noisy group when we were th... Read more

For the price of the rooms I expected more. The bathroom appeared to have water damage and the threshold from the room to restroom was very damaged. The beds were comfortable, but there's nothing really special beyond that. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the proximity to downtown disney was within walking distance.

The room dated, small, had a lingering smell of smoke. It is obvious that this used to be a smoker's room. The a/c was noisy and could not cool the room down nor reduce the smell. A additional problem was parking. We had to sit and wait for an open space at about 11pm. The entire lot was full and cars were parked in unmarked parking spaces. Check in/out was easy and friendly. The location is close to Disney and the convention center. I was here for a business trip and probably will not be... Read more

I had to give this hotel the lowest rating because they made THE worst mistake a hotel could ever make. My daughter and I were in our beds about to fall asleep when someone unlocked our door and tried to gain access. Thankfully, I had put the privacy lock on so they did not get the door opened all the way. When I told the man through the door they had the wrong room, he told me this was the room the front desk gave him. When I went to the front desk the next day, they didn't quite seem to ap... At first glance this hotel was fabulous - lovely grounds, very nice staff, excellent room layout with a second bed in a separate area from the king size. Only when you look a little closer do you notice the lack of attention to basic maintenance and cleanliness. Torn shower curtains, leaky and corroded faucets, sloppy housekeeping. The first night when getting into bed there was a lump under the bottom sheet - turned out it was the remote control and channel guide. They had made the bed righ... Read more

Planned a quick trip to Disneyland while here from Massachusetts. This is one of the hotels in the Birnbaum's Disneyland book. Location is great, about a 10-15 min walk to parks and got my AAA discount on a 2 queen bed room ($108). We were able to pre-check in (we arrived around 8:30 am), get our parking pass and park on the property. By the time we got into the room after a day at the parks it was almost midnight. Nothing fancy here but clean, comfortable and a friendly staff make this a hotel I can recommend. It's very convenient for a Disneyland trip like ours, with an easy and pleasant walk to and from the park. We found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I did think it was a little much to pay for parking but it was a small issue for me and would not prevent me from staying here again.

I love staying at The Anabella for trips to Disneyland. It's nice and close to the park, and the people who work there are friendly and helpful. I especially loved the staff in the restaurant and bar. I asked them about their tangerine juice, since it wasn't on the menu, and they brought me a glass. Then, they were making some apple juice, and brought me some just because they thought I'd like it. There were little things that weren't perfect, but that's okay because it was comfy and nice. ... Anabella is a cute little hotel in a great spot and with a staff that tries really hard. But the property itself is just too run down for a first or even second rate experience. Most notably, our room smelled so badly of mildew that it was nearly unusable. The room was clean and I couldn't find the mildew, but I could smell it. Also, the air conditioner couldn't really keep up with a 75 degree day, and the bed was saggy to the point of really interfering with sleep.

First off, we've stayed here about 10-15 times over the years, so we've seen the changes. The rooms are dated and are starting to look very worn. The air has a musty smell and they seem really humid. The bathrooms need updating big time. The suites were nice when we were there for a convention, we could fit bunches of people in without crushing them.
