The setting for this first class hotel in breathtaking. Our comfortable, clean room faced the snow capped mountains, but if you prefer to sit in the lobby the view is just as magnificent. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the bar; it was very good, especially the Mud Pie(be prepared to share)! This location was convenient to the places we wanted to visit: Donner Lake, Donner Pass, and North and South Lake Tahoe.

We came to Resort at Squaw Creek for a quiet getaway with our one year old during the quiet time between ski season and summer. The first few days (second week of May) we practically had the place to ourselves, except for a well-behaved and well-organized corporate event. The property is simply gorgeous. The staff is friendly. Our fireplace suite was cozy and well appointed with a really nice little resort kitchen. The restaurants were good. The spa experience was, bar none, the best I've ever... After staying on South Lake Tahoe for a few days and really putting in some miles to take in as many sites as we could, including driving to Yosemite Nat. Park; we ended our trip at The Resort at Squaw Creek. Our experience exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was inviting, the staff was very welcoming, the room was clean and warm, the room and resort were quiet, and the snow that fell on the 20th of May 2016 was truly the icing on our getaway (desert). We plan to return and invite frien... Read more

You can't beat the convenience and location of this resort but she is getting long in the tooth. Its no longer a top notch place. The spa smelled moldy. There were towels in the hallway floor. I always see other people's hair in the bathroom. May must be bachelor/bachelorette season. Hallways were loud. Spa was crowded.

My colleague and I were on a site visit, reviewing the property for an association event. Sales Manager, Kristy Olk, provided us with a great site visit, reviewed the property and our contract proposal, and provided us with wonderful lodging for the night. The property is beautiful, clean, snugly nestled in the Sierras with a lovely mountain ambience, and provides luxurious accommodation. I highly recommend this resort for business or leisure.

Nice facilities and accommodations. The facility is a bit isolated, but all activities you need for a couple of days are present. I don't prefer the sleeping rooms being in a different building, but that's personal choice.

Hotel in my need is in need of upgrades. Holes in walls of elevator where signs were posted, air conditioning unit not secured to wall in sleeping room, very dusty. Another guests bathing suit was found in my room on the door knob when I checked in.

The resort is beautiful with fabulous views. The staff was exceptional and the hospitality was amazing. The only thing that I had a problem with was that it was so far to get to anything that we did. All of our off site events were a 40 minute to an hour and 15 minutes away.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet that an early June stay provided. We liked our room with the kitchenette since we did not want to eat out for every meal. And because of it, as well as the friendly staff and lovely scenery, we decided to stay an extra day. We hope to return next year.

Stop playing annoying music by the pool all day ruins the serenity of the setting and is not up to a five star resort Fix the tennis courts fix thete now courts they are a joke. One court has no net, the other a tirn net 6 inches too low. The court apparently was not cleaned all year

Beyond expectation. I was there for a conference and had my 4 year old in tow for the conference banquet. Dalilah Parre, the banquet server assigned to our table, went and got a special meal for my son (since the regular dinner was not to his liking), came by our table frequently to ensure everything was going well, and was all around one of the best and most attentive staff at a hotel conference center I have ever seen. On my way back from San Francisco, we decided to get a round on the way home. So, we chose Squaw Creek. What a mistake! Several of the greens were still pot marked from the spring plug. The fairways are very narrow and any wayward shorts are penal. The day before, we had played TCP Harding Park and bad shots still left some hope of salvaging the next shot. No lost balls there...lost 7 at Squaw! No bail out areas. Oh..and the wind out of the mountain valley was howling! Were we advised of the win... Read more

While we originally reserved the deluxe double, we quickly learned that there is nothing special about these rooms, they are more like a Four Points business room, we had to upgrade to a fireplace suite to feel more comfortable. We would have preferred fresh air at night, but the windows do not have screens and the bugs kept flying in. The spa and pool were the highlights of the resort for us.

I was there for one night on business and I had a lot of work to do. When I checked into my room, it was missing the basic hotel book which includes the inroom dining menu. I called Guest Services to get a copy of the menu sent up to my room.
