We called night before and went to hotel the next day and requested expedited room clean up at noon as had event to attend at 400 They said they would rush room and when we went back at 300 room not ready. They made all types of excuses and I threw a fit. They found room but hassle. We saw other people checking in w/o any issue. The normal check in is 400. The room is great and the other staff are fine but the breakfast was no great shakes. We will eat in town tomorrow.

Stayed for the first time at this property on May 16-18 for business. This property is spectacular. The service is amazing. All of the servers at the various restaurants were friendly and engaging. The food was exceptional at all the restaurants i tried. I would definitely come back here. The SPA experience is amazing.

Simply the friendliest, most courteous staff at any resort I have ever visited. Stunning grounds. Beautiful, comfortable, well appointed rooms. The spa and pool areas are beautiful and well maintained. Unpretentiously gorgeous. The bar is cozy and drinks delicious. Only regret not having more time to spend there.

We checked in late around 9pm (shame on us) and the hotel only had "double bed" rooms, even though we explicitly booked king size bed. Its a romantic getaway -- this time for a wedding -- and sleeping around 50-60 nights per year in hotels, we don't make this mistake when booking. I don't pay $400 for double beds -- i would have rather stayed at an Econolodge with a king bed, but there was none nearby. The night manager that evening was unable to accommodate us. And made no effort to reduc... Read more

We just finished our second stay at the Ojai Valley Inn. This hotel deserves top marks for service, setting and amenities. The kids pool was nicer then most adult pools at luxury hotels and our kids felt incredibly welcome throughout the property. The rooms were immaculate with a huge tv and an iPad with an alarm, radio and customized weather setting. The food was excellent, they accommodated our allergies with grace. I had a wonderful stay and meeting at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa for 4 days and 3 nights. I was fortunate to have experienced the resort and all its amenities. It is truly a top notch resort. First, my room was very comfortable and spacious. The bed is the most comfortable I have experienced in my travels. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of soft towels. There are complimentary bottle waters supplied in the room. Each of the rooms have a patio or balcony and mine had a view of the first tee. ... Read more

It was fantastic. We loved everything. The grounds were impeccable. The rooms were very nice. The setting was great. We enjoyed both pools. They were clean and lovely. The service was excellent. We ate at the restaurant overlooking the mountains and the golf course and it was great. The portions of the appetizer (specifically the brussel sprouts) was too big. It was great, but I ate so much that I didn't have much room for dinner.

We just attended a large (125 people from all over the US) family reunion over the 4th of July weekend. The property is lovely, set into the valley surrounded by the Topa Topa mountains. It sprawls over considerable acreage and is sited in the middle of a challenging 18 hole golf course. As a historic property, the Inn seems to have mushroomed over the years with some buildings over 1/2 mile from the central core. Paths between the buildings are seemingly randomly placed necessitating walking on... Read more

Despite this resort positioning itself as a 5-star property, with "luxury accommodations," it has a long way to go to achieve such standards. The resort's setting is certainly beautiful and idyllic and the public areas are quite charming. However, our stay quickly deteriorated when we entered our guest room. Rooms may have undergone a soft refresh at some point in the last few years, but, fundamentals of room are very outdated and inconsistent with "luxury" standards. Rooms do not feature a... Read more

My family & I had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel . The staff & service was excellent , the food at the hotel was wonderful ; no need to go elsewhere to dine . The family pool was perfect for all of us & our 3 year old loved the frequently served pool treats , frozen M&M's , slushies etc . Really fun . Of course , the golf course was a highlight for me . We are considering making the Ojai Inn a yearly retreat . Lucky for us it is only 2.5 hours from OC . Enjoy !!

We had a lovely room in the Los Padres building, farthest from the main facility. There are several pools so you are never far from one. Because of the distances there are golf carts on call and there is a charge built into your stay for this or parking (it was explained to me two different ways). there is also a resort charge and the total of these two was $32 for the event I attended. It is a short walk into Ojai along a bike/walking path which is nice, although there is not much to Ojai. with... Read more

My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay at Ojai Valley Inn. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The resort is spread out so you will do a lot of walking. There is a shuttle that comes around, and several times the staff stopped in their golf cart and offered us a ride. The pools are lovely. Nick at the Indido pool went above and beyond providing us all our requests. We will definitely return.

We loved our stay at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa! Everything about it was superb! If I would have to pick my favorite part of our stay it would have to be the pool, or would it be the fitness exercises, or our long hikes, or the golfing, or better yet relaxing on our balcony after a great day full of all of these wonderful things? I think you get the picture! Too many great things to pick just one! All that I can say is .. This is our favorite place to go to get rejuvenated!
