The hotel was a typical Residence Inn with the exception that they apparently did not upgrade their Cox contract, which resulted in no Fox national. CNBC, etc, which was frustrating because I was interested in business and the political programs on Fox. So, I would not stay here again. All the other services were fine.

My wife and I just stayed 4 nights and 3 days and JUST LOVED THIS PLACE! We were overwhelmed with how clean, nice and just over all perfect in every way the resort was. 1) The check in was a snap, the room was not done when we arrived a bit early. But they took my number down and called me when the room was done. 2) The room was clean and spot-less. It has everything you'd ever need (Except a blender) But here is the kicker the room had 2 flat screen TV's both looked 45'' or 50'' one in the bed... Read more

My family and I were displaced from our home due to a house fire. Right from the first call, the staff were so helpful and accommodating. We needed a 2 bedroom suite but none were available the night we checked in. Instead they were able to provide 2 rooms and the very next morning they called to say they had secured the suite we needed. The room transition was very easy and simple, and the staff moved our luggage while we were relaxing poolside !!!! The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean... Read more

The Residence Inn San Diego Oceanside is an all-suite property that appeals in particular to those who would like some extra space and/or are planning an extended stay. NOTE: While this property is located in the city of Oceanside, you will not be able to see the ocean from here as it in a commercial area within the extreme inland section of the city. You‚??ll still get a nice ocean breeze, though! The hotel staff is friendly and efficient, and the common areas seem well-kept. The breakfast... Read more

It would be very difficult to find a fault with this place: big rooms, kitchenettes, new facility, great, well equipped fitness room, good pool, plenty of parking, easy drive to the beach but for us it was terrific location right across the National Soccer Cup 30 soccer field facility.

This is a family friendly hotel. There is a kitchen if you decide to cook or you can walk across the parking lot for some great pizza/BBQ. The pool is heated and there is a BBQ grill for you to enjoy by the pool area. The basketball court can be converted for tennis/racket ball. There is a fire place inside and a fire pit outside to unwind for the the night. There is plenty of room during breakfast to accommodate everyone. There is extra seating across the lobby. It has a TV, some board ga... Read more

Friendly helpful staff, hotel itself modern and very clean. Only area that did not hold up to the Residence Inn standards I have come to know is the cleanliness of the breakfast area. Jars that hold the brown sugar, nuts and raisins for the oatmeal were disgustingly cruddy. I can't imagine they had been cleaned properly in weeks. The outside of the black bins to hold salsa and items looked pretty cruddy as well. The back splash in the drinks fountain appeared to need a good cleaning too. .... Read more

I know that Residence Inn is a chain that is maybe more known for catering to families and this particular hotel is not in a heavy business area (in fact, it seemed kind of in the middle of nowhere, near some industrial buildings). But, I have to be honest as I was on business travel. The hotel is not sound-proof at all. I had the pleasure of hearing kids run up and down the halls above me while I was trying to get some work done. And then there was the screaming "Mommy!" at 3:00 a.m. Why w... Read more

The staff is courteous; possibly too nice. The rooms are spacious and the beds work. Unfortunately if you are paying over $200 a night you get one of the worse breakfasts and you eat it with people that are not properly clothed. They need a sign no shirt, no shoes no food! Also how does one woman show up at the pool with 5 kids the same age. Do they allow people from outside of the hotel to use the facility?

We stayed here for 2 nights in our trip to San Diego. We liked this location because it had a continental breakfast, half-court basketball court, and a kitchenette(which came in handy). The staff were helpful and friendly. It is also surrounded by a few eateries which helps. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

It's not very sunny there unless it's nice out around the area. People were nice, pool was ok and the outside pit for s'mores was an added bonus. Left my charger in the room and kept calling but cleaning person never turned it in. Nice spacious room no views just a nice clean hotel.

My family and I stayed here for one night this past weekend. We were looking for a convenient location close to Legoland and this hotel was just right. After checking in, we spent most of Saturday at Tamarack Beach which was a 15-20 minute drive from the hotel and a nice, family-friendly beach in Carlsbad. After the beach, we came back to the room to freshen up and head back to Carlsbad Village for dinner. On Sunday, we had breakfast (super crowded but I'm assuming that was due to the hotel ... We visited Oceanside for a few days and stayed at this hotel one night. I booked the hotel well in advanced and requested online that the hotel staff make up the sofa bed prior to our arrival as we were arriving late with our young daughter and wanted to make a smooth transition from the car to the room. Just to be sure I also called the hotel to confirm this request was on the reservation and I was told not to worry, the room would be set up and ready for our late arrival. When we arrived af... Only had one night here, but location was good for business. It's only 5 miles from the South Coast Highway (favorite restaurant), but really close to other highways, while still being far enough out of the way to be quiet. All feels new and clean. Lots of storage places if you're going to stay for a while. Didn't have the breakfast, but it looked pretty standard with 3 hot items.

Because we were fortunate to have a 2nd floor corner room there was a small balcony facing the ocean and a large balcony with two chaisse lounges and a table and chairs on thr side. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was the usual offering of eggs, etc.

This is a newer clean place to stay. We used Marriott points for a one night stay and were satisfied with the room, except we discovered the AC was not working late that night. We did not call for service because we were too tired to deal with it, but overall it's a nice property good for families and business travelers.

Marriott is a world renowed brand, this one is an exception. Beware of this location, the housekeeping staff do not clean the rooms nor provide the essential supplies if staying for more than a day. Me and my family visited the hotel for 3 night stay to be able to take the kids around Legoland - day 1 was great but the housekeeping did not clean and perform its function for day 2 and day 3. Complaints to the front desk went on deaf ears, complaints to the AGM - Karissa Ingram did not help either... Read more

We stayed at this location for 6 long weeks. While we appreciated the ability to extend our stay and have our Labrador retriever stay with us, it was a bumpy stay. Half the nights we dealt with loud guests, ranging from rowdy soccer players to totally unsupervised Jr Naval Candidates of some sort. Cleanliness was an issue when we first arrived and when we periodically requested having our room serviced. It seems like there is not a typical checklist bc something (be it toilet paper, dish soa... Read more

Great location to many attractions. Very comfortable set up, especially for longer stays and eating in. Clean property and rooms. This is a pet friendly property. Our first room was next to a very yappy dog so if that bothers you ask to be on the non-dog floors. Breakfast included. We would stay again.

I booked this hotel based on the reviews from TripAdvisor as a base for a trip to San Diego. It was the combination of guest reviews and value that drew me to it as well as what appeared to be more amenities than were offered by other similarly priced hotels. What a find! It's not so much a hotel but apartments that are built into a hotel and it is fantastic in every way. I was able to keep amending my booking at no cost due to changing circumstances right up to the day of check in. In the end I... Read more

Upon our arrival their keycard system went down for HOURS which meant NO ONE COULD CHECK IN!!! We were finally able to check in and was upgraded to the 1-bedroom suite from a Studio thanks to our Gold status. Staff was as accommodating as they could be despite the situation. Property was kept pretty clean being at capacity. Breakfast was "eh". All-in-all I would return for a 3rd time since proximity to soccer fields literally across the street although I must say it was quite pricey @ $250/... Read more

My wife and I recently enjoyed four nights here, using it as a base to visit San Diego and the coast. Overall it is an excellent hotel - most of the staff appear young and enthusiastic and this reflects well on the running of the hotel. We were upgraded to a nice one bedroom suite, which was a typical Residence Inn layout on the third floor. It was very quiet, comfortable and clean with a bath and a nice kitchen area. This is the second time we stayed here. We love this hotel because it's close enough to OC and San Diego and it's affordable. Parking is free, free breakfast daily and complimentary coffee in the lobby. This is one of my favorite hotels in the area and I will be back.

The hotel is in pristine condition - we thought it had just opened, but it is actually several years old. It is only about 5 miles to the interstate, but in a new area. The staff were SO friendly and accommodating - we looked forward to chatting with them every evening when we returned from our excursions. Fantastic restaurants and quick-food places across the parking lot - Felix's BBQ was outstanding.

This hotel is Great for many reasons. It is away from the busy city and in a very calm area. There is shopping nearby and not too far away from the beach. As the usual of the Marriott brand it is super clean and extremely well kept. Everyone there are friendly and professional. The room has a nice full kitchen. I am glad we decided to stay there. We have a rental car and it takes us around 30 minutes to get to Downtown San Diego

This property is great for an extended stay. It is much more than a room with a bed. It has a mostly full kitchen (no oven) and a nice couch/living area. It is new and extremely clean and well maintained. The only con is that is in a business district about 15-20 mins from the beach and the main Oceanside tourist area. The pool/spa/fireside seating are all nice amenities.

I was a guest just recently and the hotel is very nice. Helpful people for the most part at the front desk and nice modern facilities and room. As is my usual practice I sent out my week's worth of laundry to be cleaned the day before I left only to find upon returning back to the hotel late that evening after inquiring at the front desk that my laundry was never returned.
