We requested a pickup at the airport and was met exactly at the time. The trip to the hotel is very short and checking was smooth as expected of a Marriott. We had to catch a early flight the next morning and were called when the shuttle to the airport was ready for us. Our flight in and out was made easy because of the Courtyard. The room was spotless and comfortable . Thank you

We were checked in by Elizabeth at the courtyard in Oakland. She was very friendly, professional, helpful and efficient. Elizabeth is the kind of person I want working for me. She represented the Marriott brand superbly! This is the hotel I stay at whenever I am traveling from Oakland airport. I love the pool area the courtyard area and the people here. What a surprise, this time The rooms have been beautifully renovated. They are perfect. What can I say? I really love this hotel. They have a ... Read more

I stayed here on a Sunday night to get jump on an 8am meeting nearby. The room was very modern and clean, as was the bathroom. The parking was fenced in and free, which was a good thing. I would recommend this hotel.

This place is so comfortable and the staff is warm and friendly. It is clean, roomy, and they go that little extra with (fresh fruit ) flavored water in the lobby and fresh fruit to eat too. The only thing lacking was in room movies available on demand. Not a deal breaker.

First let me start with the positive....very nicely updated. Rooms look really good and clean. The staff were really nice and pleasant. I had breakfast at hotel and they were also very nice. Issues: I was given a room with a connecting door. I have traveled a great deal and have had rooms with connecting doors before...and never have I had issues with such poor soundproofing. I tried to go to bed but then the lady next door returned to her room. I could hear everything she said. She too... Read more

The hotel is nice enough...not usual Marriott supremeness, but still very good. Pool very cold in June. Ask for a room on the quiet courtyard side or you'll be having the BART train race past your window. But the best part was the shuttle was ultra accommodating. They came and picked us up from a competing hotel, and also picked us up from the BART station coming back from San Fran late at night. Over and beyond usual airport shuttle. I was impressed!

I was a bit Leary staying so close to the Colosseum in Oakland but this hotel was a nice surprise, the location was fine with easy access to parking, nice large rooms and huge modern upscale bathrooms, spacious pool grounds made us feel more at home that a typical high rise hotel. After this experience, we would stay a the Courtyard hotels in the future.

Stayed here as we were taking a very early morning flight. I was nervous about staying in this neighborhood, but felt secure as they had a gated parking lot and even saw some barbed wire along the fence. Also saw a security guard walking around the property. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, as was the shuttle drivers. My husband took our rental car back to airport and they picked him up. We took the shuttle to the airport in the morning and they were prompt. Th... Read more

I surprised my husband on his birthday with Warriors basketball tickets and picked this facility. I did not know much about the area but had stayed at other hotels of the same name. The area around the hotel has an abandoned feeling and there are very few services and places to go around the hotel. The hotel itself was our salvation. Not only was it well secured, we received a good, clean room and the shuttle service was amazing when we attended the game. When we felt hungry and thirsty, the hot... Read more

We visit San Francisco but the prices to stay there were rocket high! Plus I refuse to stay at a small room, I am not young anymore. SO, we stayed here, 25 minute ride in the BART (public transportation, train) to San Francisco, and you get a Shuttle ride to the BART station. So it is perfect. You don't need a car in San francisco. Ok so location is 100 points! Now lets talk about the room. Amazing property, the rooms feel new, the bed was amazing, AC, amenities, all great! Recommended! I'm a biased Marriott person, but this was a very nice one. The room was well done, large, and has a very vaulted ceiling, so it felt huge. It's close to some food options, has a shuttle, and great/helpful front desk staff. I would definitely recommend as an airport hotel.

Nice hotel BUT upon checking in, the young lady ran my card over and over again. The amount for incidentals was only $80 ($20 for each day of my 4 day stay) They totally ruined my vacation as my hotel room was already paid for when I arrived (3rd party) and instead of just charging the $80, she charged me again for a 4 day stay. Then again for an additional $100, then she attempted again and by that time the bank froze my card because it looked fraudulent. Called the bank and got my funds unrest... Read more

The staff were friendly and rooms were pretty clean. It is a dated hotel and not much to do with in walking distance. Food options are scarce, a few fast food places around. When I inquired about the shuttle, I was told it only provided transportation to and from the airport but I could walk and take BART. However, the next morning a woman rode with us in the van on the way to the airport to be dropped off at BART. I wish we were told that the van would be able to drop us of at BART so we could ... We spent two nights at the hotel, commuting over to San Francisco during the day. Although the hotel is near public transportation, we choose to drive. It was about a thirty to forty minute drive depending on traffic. The property was really nice and close to the freeway and airport. The rooms were fairly large. We had a room next to the busy street that was quite noisy at night so next time I will ask for an interior room. The facilities were all very nice. I have never been disappointed... Read more

Stayed here for one night with our two young kids before an early morning flight. Everything was standard and as you would expect at a Courtyard. The hotel is very conveniently located and only about a 5 minute drive from the airport. Within 15 minutes of leaving my hotel room we were already at our gate at the airport. The hotel is somewhat dated but still clean and acceptable. While there were no "WOW" moments, there was also nothing to detract from our brief stay. I wouldn't hesitate to... Read more

We stopped for a one night stay to visit San Francisco during a family vacation. The hotel is friendly and accommodating. Access to Oakland Airport is convenient. Surrounding area is sketchy which explains the security fencing around the campus perimeter. All in all a comfortable stay.

I have stayed here before a little over a year ago and while my stay had no real issue it was just ok. This visit its a complete turn around! The hotel has been renovated since my last visit, the staff were amazing and the hotel was clean. I also have to say the beds are one of the very best, I travel A LOT as you can see from my Tripadvisor posts and these were some of the most comfortable, by far. Also the air-conditioning is great because I like to sleep with my room cold. The area seems impr... Read more

Good hotel. Up to Marriott Courtyard standards. Personnel was friendly. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Parking is very convenient. Lobby food place is nice and offer good selections made in the moment. I had an inconvenience with another guest making complaints which resulted in him trying to use us for an excuse to get free stay. Insinuating we made loud noises. Hotel was very clean and staff were friendly. The restaurant had good food and was cooked to order. Will definitely stay here if needed again.

Stayed at this property twice. First stay in August 2016 on a Tuesday night before an early morning Wednesday flight. Stay was awesome. Parking was an extra $8 but felt safe and we saw a guard doing periodic walks. Standard Courtyard with Paul Mitchell toiletries. Shower had good water pressure. Room 108 facing the courtyard. Seems like a renovated older property. Nice enough room but there was a bug that was alive in my tub. CA style rates >$300 a night which is steep for the property but oh well. Blame the SalesForce convention going on in SFO. Very quiet to be about two miles from the airport. Free airport shuttle but make sure you call them from the airport or you'll be waiting forever. The shuttle comes around only when someone needs a ride from the airport. Southwest terminal wait... As a Marriott loyalist you'll stay here for sure but lower your expectations. The kitchen side of The Bistro was shut down so the food menu was limited which is a bad deal magnified by the absence of anything decent within walking distance. Second, it was impossible to get my room serviced even after asking and waiting in the lobby for two hours. Third, it's a gated property and sits sideways to the street which confused my Uber drivers. One did a no-show; the other went to the building across... Read more

The environment around the hotel is not the most ideal, the nearest BART station - Coliseum does not feel safe at night although the hotel has a shuttle. The hotel room itself is average. Disappointingly, the room does not have bedroom slippers. And more absurdly, it does not provide a refill of bottled waters everyday. And I was staying there for 7 days! So apparently I have to check out every day in order to have bottled water? And most shocking and disturbing was a man actually opened my doo... Read more

Rooms have been nicely updated here. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the location is great to the Oakland Airport. Just had a quick overnight stay and I'd say it was perfect for my needs. No Microwaves in rooms which would be nice, but there is a small refrigerator and a basic coffee maker. Property gets a lot of street noise.
