We got bailed at a different place that we had booked in advance and had to find a room quickly on a cold December night. This hotel had space available at a reasonable price, we got very kind attention at check-in, everything was working great - we had a good night sleep prior to a very active day in Yosemite.

Americas Best Value Inn, Oakhurst CA, does not provide cleaning for stay overs. According to a person called Mitch, who is at the front desk, and is an extremely deceptive and invidious individual, whatever mess you create you should clean it yourself. This freak should be working in a salt mine, not in a hotel that requires a mature, honest, and well balanced person. All hotels provide daily cleaning. Hotels that do not provide daily cleaning disclose this fact upfront. Americas Best Value d... Read more

Good location to the south entrance of yosemite national park (40min drive). Very friendly staff. Spacious, clean and well equipped rooms (fridge, air conditioning, tv, water boiler). Fast wireless internet. We are coming back!

The floors were dirty. The bed had no mattress pad. The breakfast was crowded and cheap. I won't make this mistake again. The front was kind and courteous. It was a place to sleep but that is about it.

Older place and the owners don't seem to be putting anything back into the property. Lights didn't work, shower curtain rod broken allowing water to run all over the bathroom. It was full and being close to Yosemite I'm guessing it is full a lot. Would not recommend staying there.

Modern, clean facility. Pool is nice, but we didn't use it. Great value so close to Yosemite. short walk to downtown shops & restaurants. Staff friendly & personable. restaurant guide needs updating. Try it

There are two things that speak for this place: its proximity to Yosemite and the spacious rooms. For the rest: go somewhere else. It is expensive, the wifi didn't work two days out of four, one day housekeeping forgot to do our room (no apologies offered), the breakfast room is way too small with one toaster for 200 guests, rooms are far from soundproof (when your neighbor switches on the shower, it sounds like a train coming through your room). Need I say more?

We stayed here one night before going into the park to stay for two nights. On the hotel, it's fairly basic but clean. The breakfast is a little free for all and the pool is pretty small. The location is 30 mins drive from the gate, then really you've got another 30 mins drive to get to points of interest. The money you pay is pretty expensive for what you get, but this is reflective of the area and it's still one of the cheapest around, so bear that in mind. I would recommend staying inside... We arrived at the hotel and there were approximately 10 men loitering in the parking lot. Hours later they were still there, drinking. My husband thought it was fine, but I was a bit intimidated. The rooms are outdated and look a bit dirty. You can hear people in the halls and above you constantly. Wi-fi barely works. On the plus side, the rooms are spacious and cheaper than most others - we paid around $130 usd. The sheets were clean and they offer HBO.
