The floors weren't vacuumed well enough, the tub had hair in it. The pillows were horrible. The kitchenette in our suite had incomplete dishes which rendered it useless. There was only enough coffee pods left in the room for one person. It felt extremely cheap. It wasn't a horrible place but for the price you would expect better. The beds were comfortable and it was a large room.

Room was clean. There were parking spots for each room. The hotel is located close to the highway and plenty of restaurants and shopping. The free breakfast was on par with other budget hotels offering microwaved eggs and sausage, coffee, bagels, toast and cereal. My only complaint is that instead of lamps, there were overhead reading lights that shine right into your eyes while in bed.

We're not fussy, but we enjoy comfortable ambience. It's here. It's delightful. Location is exactly what we desired: calm, quiet, super easy access from 101/Redwood Highway, and yet close enough to San Fran, where we're headed for medical appointments. Friendly front desk guy. Very relational and helpful. Beds? Comfortable, true queens. Only regret is that I neglected to realize there's a kitchenette, and wish I'd brought a sauté pan, plates, forks, bowls, spoons, etc. Trader Joe's is a... Read more

The room was clean and quiet, even though it is near the freeway. This is a facility in which to rest for the night, not a place to hang out. it has free wifi, large flat-screen TV, refrigerator, and microwave. The in-room coffee maker provides one cup of decafe, and one cup of regular coffee. The free breakfast offers pre-packaged items such as pastries, and savory items such as sausage. A sheet is posted telling how long to microwave each of the items. But one can also get more coffee.

Upon checking in, the front desk clerk was friendly. After that, we were not very happy with anything else about Marinwood. I travel with disinfectant wipes and always do a quick clean up upon entering the room. The wipes were dirty. The bed linens looked wrinkled, which was very disconcerting. One bar of soap, so you had to carry back and forth. Small towels and not enough of them. There was a kitchenette in the room but there was nothing in it. Breakfast was included and there were con... The room and property was clean and well maintained. Though the Inn is next to the highway the room was quite and we heard no traffic noise. The front desk was very friendly and informative when we checked in and housekeeping always kept us supplied with fresh towels in a clean room! We also liked the hotel for its convenient location which is close to Sonoma Raceway, Sausalito, and the wineries.

Pretty basic accommodations. Seems like a family run place. Friendly. Seems like a mid-range hotel fading into the budget hotel class. Bed was above average for comfort. Safe in room. Satellite TV. Large room. Marble in bathroom, good hot shower. Fridge in room, but mine did not have a kitchen. Free parking and wifi. Breakfast is sparse, bagged Danishes, frozen food to microwave, cereal. Priced a little high I think.

I stayed here with my husband for a weekend of San Francisco tourist fun, and wine tasting in Napa Valley. We had to find a way to do the trip on a budget, since both SF and Napa have pretty high price tags for most activities and hotels. We absolutely loved it!! The hotel has a really cute, almost bungalow feel, and the rooms are spacious and clean. We got the King Suite, which had a kitchen, but there were no cooking supplies or utensils so it wasn't worth the extra money unless you bring e... Read more

Just driving thru and found the cheapest place. I was surprised how clean and quite it was. Nice place to stay. Easy check in and out. Didn't go to pool. If you stay in a one room with king bed the 4th pillow is in the closet. It had wifi, fridge and microwave too.

We found our room very clean and quiet. The bed was wonderful. When we checked in, the man at the front desk was rude but warmed up after several minutes. The next morning, he was very nice. I would stay again.

We fired up the Harley and headed south from Fort Bragg CA along Hwy 1 taking our time visiting lighthouses, a Russian fort and other points of interest along the way. Out of Bodega Bay we head east toward Hwy 101 and called it a day here. I was impressed it is a quaint old style hotel very clean, conformable, roomy at a very reasonable rate. The Breakfast was a full breakfast. I* would stay here again next time we are in the area!!

We've stayed at this hotel twice, the first time we were in an upstairs room, this time on the main floor. Very nice upgrades to both rooms-modern glass sinks, down comforters. Very quiet considering the hotel is right off the freeway. There is a slight mildew smell to the rooms, could be the AC unit. Breakfast provided, simple but good. Small seating area in breakfast room, they could use more space, it got crowded. Will we stay there again? YES.

We spend several nights a week at a minimum, in hotels. This was a very nice stay. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and even called three different Chinese restaurants to see who would deliver for us. The property itself is very clean and kind of quaint feeling. And rooms are decent size with updated bathroom faucets and sink areas. TV was decent sized and they provide multiple HBO channels. The bed was really nice, comfortable and clean! This hotel is a non-smoking hotel and als... Read more

Love this hotel. I have leading a bike tour here every year for the past 10 years and I plan to keep coming back. All the other hotels in the area are too expensive. This one is very nice, the price is right and the manager, Bobby, is great. It's great that they now have free breakfast. They remodeled over the past few years and the rooms are very nice now. I also like having a kitchen in the room. The hotel has easy access to Sears Point, Point San Pedro, Sausalito and San Francisco. Safeway su... Read more

This is a single level budget accommodation MOTEL, essentially Motel 6 with dark furniture. It was not what I was expecting based on the published photos, but value was okay. Bathroom was somewhat updated, but we had problems with a slow drain in the shower (so that after a few minutes with the water turned on, you're submerged in ankle deep water).
