The Courtyard is close to the highway with several dining options in the area. Its just a short drive into San Francisco or to wine country. We stayed here at the end of the day leaving San Fran and heading back to Napa. The hotel itself was great. The room was clean and up to date. The bar area was nice with some samplings of the area wines. The staff was great...No complaints.

Stayed one night on business. Took the shuttle from SFO directly to the hotel. Very convenient! The hotel was a typical Courtyard - which is comforting, actually, because you know what to expect. This place was conveniently located next to a shopping mall with restaurants and a grocery store. The front desk staff was SOOO nice and accommodating. I will be back to the area in 3 weeks and will stay there again

I was travelling to Novato on business so I needed a hotel close to that area and this Courtyard is 5 min away from where I needed to be. Friendly staff, clean rooms and convenient location. I'm planning to go back really soon!

Room and bathroom had a damp smell to it. My room did not have any sort of central HVAC system, so there was a heater/ air conditioner in the corner. This was extremely loud and was constantly shutting on and off despite how I tried to adjust the thermostat. Linens, towel, and bathroom did seem clean. I could hear my neighbor in the morning, and was awoken by foot steps above at night. Seems to be an old building, however convenient location

I was there for 10 days, the service was great everybody was friendly. The ladies that worked at the cafe were very friendly and the service was fast. This Marriott dose participate in the go green program that gives you points if you choose to not have your room serviced. This is a great way to get extra points. The location is great easy commute to SF and wine country. There is a shopping area right behind the hotel that has places to eat and a safe way.

Typical Courtyard in Novato. Only complaint would be the room configuration which had the bed facing the window and the tv on the stand to the right of the bed. I think it might be unique to the room since it is on the end (243) and seems smaller than others I passed in the hallway. Nonetheless, I will give it a very good rating.

Comfortable, standard Marriott, VERY nice people working there. We felt at home. Pool was fenced in which was great for safety but kind of a pain for socializing... awesome firepit though made up for that.

The rate was 240/night for a WEDNESDAY night. The rooms were average. No free breakfast. And refrigerator was TINY. Dont understand why hotels in Marin have to be so costly. Such a ripoff. I seriously have stayed at similar hotels for an average cost of 80 bucks. Thats what I would price this for.

This has to be one of the oldest, nastiest Courtyards that I've stayed at in 10+years. The rooms stink. OMG the first one had such a strong chemical odor that we had to move. This one smells like pee. Dirty carpets EVERYWHERE - in the halls, in the rooms - GROSS. Nice women at the front desk but maybe that's because they haven't seen these rooms! Honestly, I imagine that they must smell them from where they stand. One night for me and I'm outta here!

We picked this hotel because of price and location, it is directly between Sonoma and San Francisco. There are also a number of stores and restaurants nearby making it easy for a large group to stay happy. Hotel is aging and needs some updates, bathrooms could use a refresh as well as the carpet in the hallways. Gym is two treadmills and one elliptical and a weight bench, not much to keep the fit traveler happy. Great onsite cafe serving breakfast and snacks.

Really expensive and really old, musty, outdated decor and things like the soap dish glued to the counter come on. SF was full so had to come out for business. All agreed it was in a pretty sad state especially for the over $300 per night price tag.

Nice room. Not too far from Sonoma and Napa Valley. Staff very nice. Close to a McDonald's and Safeway which was nice where we could buy some snacks for our continued journey to San Francisco and down Hwy 1.

We had a full day driving and were in need of somewhere to rest our weary heads. The rooms were basic and beds comfortable but it was ridiculously expensive!!! We are Marriott Club members but it made no difference. Wouldn't return!!!

Hotel services were just what one might expect at a Marriott, fast and efficient. Our room was a standard upgrade and though the AC was quiet, there is an employee access and trash service area on the north side that was noisy from about 7am. On the eastside of the hotel a light rail train toots on by during the day/eve, and across the parking lot to the south the Marin Airporter buses startup and depart regularly (good for park and ride I'd imagine). The traffic was heavy to and from San Franci... Read more
