Check in was easy . Room on the third floor. Was a handicap room. Close to elevator but did not hear any elevator noise. View of the river out the window. Small pool. Honor bar in room. Very comfortable bed! Bar area downstairs had small food menus and cocktails . All the help was excellent. Walking distance to town and restaurants.

I hate to write this because I think that the people I interacted with at the hotel genuinely wanted to provide good service, but no amount of service can disguise the fact that this is a very run down hotel. We stayed here for a quick weekend getaway and paid a princely sum for our room (Napa on weekends I know is expensive). The room was far worse than expected. It was like a bad chain hotel, on the lower end of the spectrum. Not that clean either - obvious mold, mildew in the shower, black g... Read more

I visited River Terrace Inn this past April and had an amazing stay! The hotel is tucked along the river, walking distance to the Oxbow Market and downtown. There is a great running path along the river and through down town Napa that I enjoyed! The Napa Wine Train was 1 block from the hotel and was also a fantastic addition to the trip. The nightly wine tasting was such a treat in the hotel lobby. As nice as the hotel and room was, the staff made the experience. I was having trouble with ... Read more

We stayed at the River Terrace Inn June 3-5 for a girls college reunion weekend. The hotel and accommodations were very nice, clean, comfortable but it was the staff and customer service who made the trip! Everyone who helped us went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and made sure we had everything we needed. Brian was first to meet us with our bags and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area with suggestions of where to go, eat, etc. We accidentally left the Do Not Dis... Read more

We stayed here for the Brian Culbertson's Jazz Festival and they exceeded my expectations when it came to customer service! I felt like a guest at their home. Everyday and all day we were greeted and acknowledged by everyone! A good night sleep is essential while on vacation. Provided that our room had a double head shower, garden tub, and comfortable bedding I never had a sleepless night. The ambiance both day and night was romantic. I just wanted to stay at my hotel and hang out on the balco... Read more

The hotel has a very nice location in Napa, even though the riverfront part of the hotel is lacking somewhat. It has nice rooms, but the carpet looks old. The hotel is a bit "tired" with its carpets and furniture, but it is generally nice rooms and a nice lobby. The staff were not very friendly, did not make us feel welcome and were not really helpful either. We liked the wine in the afternoon, but felt we lacked information about this and other things. We had great expectations from this hote... Read more

Travelled with young adult children so had two rooms for three nights at this hotel. Very convenient location with a great walking/running trail in the back. Easy walk to downtown Napa and a cool area called Oxbow. Room was very nice with great showers and appeared recently remodeled. Nice outdoor patio with multiple fire pits and areas to have drinks. It has a swimming pool but wish it had a hot tub. A shortcoming would be the dining facilities. Granted there are a lot of great restaurant... Read more

The hotel made us feel special. They gave us a lovely room overlooking the river and mentioned that bicycles were available for use. We enjoyed the wine tasting in the late afternoon, then walked into town for dinner. I need a firm bed and this one was great. The shower was strong, and the overall experience was very friendly and welcoming.

This was a Hotwire deal and was a great stay for me. Close enough to walk to downtown and Oxbow, friendly staff, nice outdoor patio area and comfortable beds. The only downside is that the TV picture is terrible but not a big deal since I was not in Napa to watch Tv. Just noticed it when I turned it on at the end of the day. Pool is fairly small but nice. Also a nice wine tasting in the afternoon which was nice when I arrived.

Nice location, beautiful property, friendly staff, good happy hour, and complimentary bikes to roam the area. Was a reasonable price point for our dates traveled relative to other comparable properties in the area. The live music was really good too.

I like to come here in the evening when they have live music on the outside patio. My friends and I always come on the nights that Jeffrey Fetters (Smorgy) plays. I'm happy when James Crane is working as he is an awesome server...he's very attentive and friendly. It's a beautiful way to enjoy a Napa evening.

This place was great until I talked to Jessie. She was very rude and unhelpful and even hung up on me when I asked for food. The bartenders are great (Jackie, James, and Jeremy). Hopefully you don't have to deal with Jessie because up until dealing with her everything was great.

Booked a river view room which was a stretch to say the least but otherwise really enjoyed this hotel. Large room with small balcony and large comfy bed. Bar and terrace area pretty. Parking free and also bike hire complimentary. Didn't eat at hotel, we cycled to Yountville and took in a few wineries en route. Would recommend Hurleys restaurant very highly in Yountville.

I booked two nights on Priceline for the July 4th weekend and we thought that the location, service and amenities were excellent for $300/night. We particularly liked our King room 305 view of the Napa River, outside seating area with gas heaters, evening (4-7pm) happy hour with local musicians, and short walk/bike path to the Napa Wine train and Oxbow market.

This hotel was not what I expected. I specifically chose this hotel because of the reviews which mentioned amenities such as free bikes, free wine tasting and smores at night. We checked in and were shocked with the lack of info we were given. We were literally given our room number and card. This hotel is just what I expected after reading the reviews. It's perfect for a romantic get away. Nothing elaborate if that's what you're looking for; however, it's perfect for a quiet get away with a comfy bed, spacious clean restrooms with nice large Jacuzzi tub with jets. Hotel is walking distance from the Napa Valley Wine Train and I believe the same owner. There's a nice fire place in the lobby and out back a quiet seating area for tapas and wine by additional fire logs. Bring a sweater, ... Read more

Fantastic location, with excellent rooms and staff. Walking distance to Oxbow and downtown, and the size of the river view room was generous. Cleanliness, furnishings and layout were spot on and the balcony was a nice bonus. The bar had great service, though could be nice to offer more than just wine and beer (ie cocktails). Would be back on the next visit.

We had a wonderful time at the River Terrace Inn. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and eager to help make the most of our stay. Any time we needed a service (bellboy, valet) it happened instantly. As others have mentioned, being within easy walking distance of Napa's restaurants is a huge perk. The distances in the valley really aren't so great, so we didn't feel inconvenienced by the drive to St. Helena, for instance. This was a great place to stay as a couple, but we saw a couple famil... The hotel is centrally located in the city of Napa, mind you not the wine regions of the valley. If you are planning to visit several wineries leave the hotel early. Check first to see if your winery is open that day and at what time they open so you get there just when they open. Perhaps a private tour is really the best way to see as many wineries as possible. We had great plans to see four wineries but only got to two. It was due to the time it takes to get through a tasting. Then there is lu... Read more
