This hotel is made up of bungalows set back from the road. When we first got to rooms, they smelled really bad. We opened the windows then went out for dinner. When we returned the smell was mostly gone. Set back from the road our room was quiet and it was clean and comfortable though very basic. They free breakfast was even more basic than the rooms, basically I had a bagel with cream cheese and terrible coffee. All in all you get what you pay for and this place was budget friendly and we... Napa Discovery Inn is located at the beginning of the Silverado Trail on Napa Valley. There are restaurants nearby. The hotel is of individual cottages. Our room was clean and linens were clean. However, the carpet needs washing. The air conditioner was blowing out dust to which I am allergic of. A continental breakfast is offered. I found the hotel pricey for its room condition.

All I needed for the night was a place to crash in Napa that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg, and while no lodging there is truly inexpensive, this place fits the bill pretty well. It is extra basic, no frills. All the rooms overlook the parking lot, and are right on the highway. The highway isn't much travelled at night however (except on special event days, like BottleRock), so it's actually surprisingly quiet, as if you're in a rural setting. The room was tiny, and, as another reviewer noted, ... Read more

Was newly renovated. Staff was exceullent and friendly. Very accommodating. Room was small. Bungalow style. Older looking building. Price was right. For the area this a bargain. We would visit again for the convenience of being in Napa valley and low cost. Wine tasting is just minutes away. Downtown is a few minutes away which has fine dining restaurants almost anything you need.

Stayed here for a night with my girlfriend. I was specifically looking for a place with 2 beds, and this place was basically the only inexpensive place with 2 beds in one room. However, when we arrived, they said they didn't have any rooms left with 2 beds!! Good thing I had printed out my confirmation sheet to prove it, but still they were not ready to admit their fault. They kept asking us girls why can't you two share a bed? We will even upgrade it to a king size for you!! I said that is bey... Read more

We decided to attend BottleRock 2016 in Napa this year and thought it would be best to stay in Napa. Days before the event my husband broke his foot and we decided a location close to the grounds would be best in case he needed a break during the day. So we ditched our original booking and opted for Discovery Inn. It was across from the venue which was perfect For our needs. Upon check in the staff was extremely gracious. The Inn itself is older and dated - much like a roadside motel, but it's... Read more

The hotel was just lovely! The front desk staff was courteous, helpful, and friendly. The wifi was easy to access and the coffee for the included breakfast was excellent. Rooms were clean and private and the location was very convenient to town. Assuming I can get back to this part of the country again I would absolutely stay here again!

Great view, excellent very clean cottages, YES! COTTAGES! Privacy???We had one that had all the essentials including a little freezer in the fridge. It had a beautiful field of wild flowers behind our cabin. Each had their own carport. Delicious coffee and breakfast. Management was great. My sister and I felt very safe. Definitely coming back.

This place is quiet and clean. We had the king bed and it was very comfortable. The carpet and the bathroom were also clean. The room had good space and the owner was friendly. Each room is an independent unit and it's only one floor so no noise from above. The place has it's own free parking and you have a spot right in front of your room. We'd certainly come again!

This motel's location is great. It was older but clean. Great place if you want a place to lay your head & get out to the wineries. It isn't romantic or in a beautiful setting..just convenient and one of the least expensive stays in Napa.

Room was nice but the best thing about the place is its location. You can park outside of your rooms and it is very accessible to Napa town and also to drive into the Napa Valley to experience wine tasting. Andy the host is very friendly and will spend lots of time talking to you when you move into your room. Breakfast is very basic - don't rely on it!

I stayed here for two nights. The room was clean, up to date, and comfortable. The breakfast was good (bagels, danishes, toast, cereal, coffee, etc). The place was immaculate. I would stay here again.

We went here on a whim and this was the cheapest place we could find but it was very nice and room was clean and comfortable. The rooms are little cottages which was sweet. We wanted to get involved with the wine culture and so nipped up to the Black Stallion Winery which was $12 in an uber, and they have a relaxed wine tasting until 5 and then we nipped into town for dinner which was again very close. (Allegria was a nice Italian but you need to book on a weekend). Great location, great pric... Read more

Me abd my lady spent a night in this motel which felt a lot more like bed and breakfast with the little house rooms they have on offer. Seriously a great motel! This family run business has great sized rooms and really comfortable beds. Everything was clean and tidy, we had great fun getting messy in napa Valley going on wine tastings. So it was lovely to come back to a homely room. The ac was quite but we had a fair bit of wine that night and could have easily slept through a freight train. ... Read more

I stayed at this hotel because it was significantly cheaper than the hotel where my conference was being held. Overall it was fine for the money. Service was fine. The room was basic, but clean. It was equipped with a refrigerator and a freezer which was nice. Breakfast consisted of coffee, tea, bagels and white bread. I would definitely have preferred paper cups instead of styrofoam. The only real complaint was that there was a constant loud water dripping sound while it was raining. Ov... Read more

This hotel has been a wonderful stay experience. It is a family business who are all very friendly. The manager even drove us to the wine train to save us the bother of a cab! The facilities are great and better than what you would expect for its official star rating. The beds are comfy and clean... the shower hot with good pressure. Free breakfast is always great when travelling too and there was a good selection of pasries, toast, cereal tea or coffee... overall a very enjoyable stay and good ... Read more

The room was clean and large. The manager was lovely and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. It's not quirky or quaint but the little cottages are nice and it's great for a clean basic place.
