"I booked this hotel for my husband's birthday - his 'happy place' is the ocean and our room was right on the beach. In fact all the rooms in this complex are on the sand! The staff was friendly and helpful. It was stormy so using the golf cart was very chilly but would be fun on a sunny day. Our King Deluxe room was cozy and contemporary, and spotless, the gas fireplace is on a thermostat to heat the room. We look forward to returning for more than the 2 days we had. Our only negative was the continental breakfast basket which had very stale muffins. (Not edible.)

"We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon in California and absolutely loved it! It is situated literally on the beach and the beach is gorgeous. The lodges themselves were impeccably clean and luxurious and very individual and the golf buggys a nice touch. The beds were some of the most comfy we have ever slept on - esential honeymoon ingrediant! The lodge is also situated just off Highway 1 - great for exploring the coast south around Pebble Beach and further in Pfieffer beach and Pfieffer state park - simply stunning scenery . . .

"We found the policy of leaving your car parked down the hill and using a golf cart to move around the premises more than a little unusual. At one point, we could not find a parking sport for our car so we could return to our room up the hill. That is a NO-NO. I had to get a permit to park elsewhere at the hotel. All of that for an additional $16.00 a night added to your bill. It is called an environmental fee so the staff could charge up your cart overnight. Keep your cart and let me keep my car and $16.00.

I am sorry that the golfcart aspect of the resort was not to your liking. For future reference, please always feel free to notify a staff member if you have problems locating your cart. There is the rare occasion when the wrong golfcart is taken, and I am truly sorry this impacted your stay so negatively. As for parking, our staff here is always happy to move our personal vehicles to ensure yours has a place to stay overnight. Just to clarify, the $16.00 Environmental Fee is not related to utilizing the golfcart. That fee is for the upkeep and preservation of the protected grounds we are situated on. The golfcart is simply for ease of transportation and to keep the emission near the sanctuary low. I hope that if you do decide to come back the resort provides a more positive experience."

"Loved this resort. Only down side is there is only one restaurant on premises but staff recommended other places within a few miles that were great. Loved being able to walk on beach.
