Recently stayed here for 3 nights during our trip to Monterey. The hotel is brand new inside and conveniently located near highway 1. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row are just a few minutes drive away and an In-N-Out just opened within walking distance. No issues with traffic noise, but parking - though free - can be difficult when the hotel is full. Definitely a great value.

We had stayed at this Hampton Inn before it was converted and remodeled. However, this Hampton Inn greatly exceeded our expectations in class and quality in EVERY way. The remodel completely transformed this place to an upper level of style and class. And it also offer the BEST breakfast that I have ever had at anywhere that I have ever stayed while on the road.

Plenty of handy places to charge electronic devices. Easy access to wifi and it worked great. Hotel is at a very convenient location. Could walk to beach : ) Close to the freeway so easy to visit nearby points of interest.Would definitely recommend. Breakfast was good. Variety of food to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. Booked Hampton Inn in Monterrey as a stop along the CA coast. We found hotel had been renovated a few months earlier and were delighted with our accommodations. They exceeded our expectations. There is a lot of good design thinking incorporated into the renovation. Plenty of quality light, great access to charge electronic devices, efficient use of space and a high quality sleep experience thanks to a great bed.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn in Monterey. The room that I stay in was large and it overlooked a peaceful pond. This proerty is not on the water however, it is a quiet and very clean hotel. The bed was very comfortable. I would advise anyone going to Monterey who is not set on looking a the ocean to check out this hotel.

It's a very nice, clean Hotel and a friendly staff. We would stay there again if we are in that neighborhood. It's close to downtown and a great location if you want to visit Big Sur, Pebble Beach and do the 17 mile drive.

Easy walk to a great beach. Easy to find and get to various spots in Monterey. Room met my expectations of a Hampton. Paved trail next to hotel could be ideal if you bring your bicycle along. I will stay here again.

We stayed here for two nights last weekend and we were thrilled with our selection. The hotel was recently updated but it looks like a new hotel on the inside. We are very OCD when it comes to finding a clean hotel and this hotel exceeded our expectations. We requested hypoallergenic bedding/pillows when making our reservation and were pleased that our request did not go unnoticed as it does much of the time at other hotels. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom vanity had more t... Read more

Very good experience in staying one night in this new renovation Hampton hotel. Very bright and clean. Breakfast is pretty good. Small hotel and don't provide lobby luggage service. We are ok since my kids always take care of luggage by themselves. Parking is just under hotel building which is very convenient.

Great rooms, very quiet and an excellent value. The hotel deserves a better staff to make the visit as good as the facility. This hotel has been updated with the new decor and it feels like it should be more expensive. We all found the new beds gave us a great nights sleep.

I just want to say that our stayed at Hampton Inn Monterey was great, I wasn't sure if we were going to get a room because of 4th of July weekend, because like always making last minute trips, I have previously stay at other Hampton Inn, but not like this one, the location was perfect, close to many local city attractions, the room was exactly like on the pictures you see on their website, hotel is clean and housekeeping was really good. We really enjoyed our stayed at this place.

Beautiful, modern, clean hotel. Must have been newly renovated because we felt like we were the first ones to use this room it was that nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Best free hotel breakfast we have ever experienced. Great selection of hot and cold items. They even served different hot items the two days we were there to give travelers variety. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We chose this hotel as the place we usually stay in Carmel had no vacancy. Also because we had a previous positive experience with a Hampton Inn. We liked the new feel of this hotel. We had a good one night stay in this hotel, it is new and nicely decorated. Breakfast was also good although quite a few things had run out by 9.30 am. We arrived late and ordered Dominoes for dinner which we used hotel phone to dial the toll free number on. However on check out we were charged $3 for the call. This hotel has parking and is located at the far end of Del Monte Blvd. So if you like a walk it's about 2 miles into the centre of Monterey to the Wharf. Most of this can be done along the beach or cycle path. We had a room on the second floor with 2 queen beds. Very comfortable, quiet enough and close to the life. We were somewhat surprised by this Hampton Inn, which seemed very small compared to the ones we've stayed at before. The info mentions a view of the "lake," which turned out to be a small pond between the hotel and the Home Depot off in the distance. Hotel was new, room was clean, but otherwise nothing exceptional about this hotel to justify its $200-300 per night price. Hotel on the trail which is nice during the day, but many homeless on the trail at night- not safe to walk back to hotel from Fisherman's wharf at night. Breakfast was very meh.
