The best thing about this hotel is the location in Arcadia. At the border of the parking lot is a Red Lobster and Claim Jumper. The hotel is newer and very clean. There is a nice bar and pool along with a sitting area. Unfortunately unlike the other Double tree we had just stayed at in Rose mead, this hotel did not have a free breakfast buffet. Also did not like the design choices the decorator made in the rooms. Everything was a bit too "savant grade" from the shower, sink fixtures to the bed ... Read more

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I booked this location back in February as it was the nicest and closest hotel to the Rose Bowl Stadium with a reasonable price tag. I used the Hilton Honors app to check-in which saved us a lot of time upon arrival. The staff was very friendly, and the cookies were fresh as always. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself was a beautiful well kept property. I spent a whole day between the pool, hot tub and lounge chair. The service was excellent as expected. The contemporary room renovations left a lot to be desired. The bed reminded me of a box spring and mattress laying on the floor. Getting out of bed was a lot like doing squats. The bathroom door looked like a makeshift door. It slid back and forth on a track, sometimes got stuck, and didn't even cover the entire doorway. Good thing I was wit... Read more

Great views, great breakfast, happy hour area. Stylish pool and great cabanas, fire pit, and lounging area. It was relaxing to sit in the cabana, sipping my cocktail. Also enjoyed the restaurant and service. I liked the room layout and big window seat with the view of the mountains and big sky.

Hallways and rooms are painted DARK chocolate brown so everything is very dark and lighting is not great (couldn't figure out how to easily open the curtains and didn't want to climb on the furniture to figure it out). None of the outlets charged my electrical products overnight which sent me to a business meeting with a dead lap-top, almost dead phone and the electrical product I was presenting did not charge and therefore, could not be presented at the meeting I traveled from Ohio to Californ... Attended a Wedding in Pasadena, CA this past weekend and was suggested Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Monrovia. I was very impressed with the accommodations and the Friendly staff. I was impressed with the spacious and contemporary look. This was my first stay in the hotel it will not be the last. Emmanuel A. registered us upon arrival with complimentary cookies on friday, and check us out on Sunday in the morning. He is an exceptional staff member which Doubletree has.

I was not familiar with this area so I was really depending on the double tree name. The place is definitely clean and the staff was nice , super easy to find and plenty of things close to walk to for food and drinks. The only down side is the low profile furniture, it's a personal preference . I just hate on the floor beds and things. It is a nice hotel and is within walking distance of several good restaurants in Arcadia. I have no complaints whatsoever about the service or accommodations, but when I got to the room it was almost too modern for my liking. The beds were at shin level, so it made getting in and out of bed a little more difficult. It was for a pretty neat reason though because the desk can roll over the bed so you could work from on the bed very easily. There are also a lot of light choices in the room however ... Read more

Smelly room, with obvious soil spots on upholstery in room and appeared no attempts had been made to even clean. Room was musty. Avoid this one, nothing like my other Hilton stays. The room over all very dark. The mattress was the worst, besides the hard pillows. I literally slept less than one hour that night. If you don't care about quality this is your hotel. If you need comfort to sleep then keep looking. I went by the ratings and they appear to be way off from my own experience.

I'm at the DoubleTree pretty regularly for business with City of Hope, so the location is ideal. I very much like the spaciousness of the rooms and the amenities throughout the hotel. The pool area is a great place to work or relax in the afternoon and evenings. I would love more power outlets outside, so I didn't have to go back in to continue working, LA weather is just made for being outdoors, but that's certainly not a deal breaker for the hotel either.

A "confirmation number" is actually not worth much. The room was not confirmed when I thought I paid for it on-line. And no cash is accepted which is insane and creates such an inconvenience for travelers who do not want to rely solely on debit or credit card electronic malfunctions.

This is my third or fourth visit to this hotel and it still is fascinating as quite an unconventional type of hotel, as I noted in my previous review. Great staff and rooms amenities at this location. Check in is easy through the app and allows me to pick my room! The restaurant is a great place to have breakfast, fun and attentive staff. If rooms are available, this is our go to hotel in Monrovia!

Wasn't given Hilton Honors room and therefore did not have some amenities accorded during my previous trips. There were also some billing issues but they were resolved by front desk. Overall service especially the free shuttle service and F&B was still very good. Breakfast was very good too.

Hotel was very nice. However room was designed so that shower could be viewed from bed area (maybe cool for frisky couple). However, toilet was also visible! No solid bathroom door, only a curtain. So privacy for private functions not at all there! Kind of awkward.

Clean (#1 priority), fresh, comfortable, quite, and wonderful staff. They treat you like royalty! The price was also very reasonable. I booked directly with the Hotel's site and got a better deal than the various discount sites. If a bath tub is important, ask for a room with one, otherwise you get a huge shower area with a high-quality detachable shower head. Also, they are not stingy with bathroom supplies and are generous on the towels. Most rooms have a microwave and mini-refrig. Mention it ... Read more

Came down to run in the Revel Canyon City Marathon. I chose this hotel because of the location. Beautiful place, big room with very comfortable beds. The staff was great and very friendly. If you decide to eat outside this hotel, there are many restaurants within walking distance. If I decide to ever run that race again, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

Great location for the Azusa Canyon City Marathon. Clean & Comfortable stay. Staff are very welcoming. Breakfast was included with our stay and a large variety of breakfast to choose from. Parking is complimentary on site. Overall a good location for the marathon only 9 miles from the town of Azusa.

We enjoyed our stay at this great, reasonably-priced hotel. The Doubletree Monrovia is conveniently located near a variety restaurants, shops and the I-210 east and west freeway entrances. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Great location Easy access to local restaurants, mall and freeway close by. Great staff at the lobby. Bathroom needs more attention on cleaning.Other then that would stay in this hotel for my next trip.
