This is a good airport hotel. All around winner. It's showing in a little age in the common corridors, but the guest rooms are fine. Very large, good condition, clean. Typical Westin set-up of furnishings, finishes, etc. The bar in the lobby has a very professional staff, above average for this sort of hotel. If you don't have a car, it's in a bit of a remote location. On both my recent stays, I had to get to the airport very early before the normal shuttle begins. The front desk can a... Read more

I fly to San Francisco 3 - 4 times per month and always choose an airport hotel with free shuttle service. I use credit card miles to select the hotel offering the least number of miles for a one night stay. The Westin offered the best value on my latest trip. It is true that refurbishing and upgrades are needed. I weigh that against the pros: very close to the airport, fast check in, free & efficient WiFi, nice pool & fitness room, complimentary coffee and bottled water, and even a robe. ... Read more

This is what you expect from a Westin. The hotel itself is a bit older and could maybe use some updates, but nothing major is of concern. The staff is really, really good. Quick check in, very friendly, management was everywhere. They really seem to enjoy their jobs, which is refreshing. They had a nice social for SPG members with drinks and snacks that was perfect! The airport shuttle is fast, accommodates a lot of people and very timely. Good experience all around.

We've stayed here once before last year after a conference. We decided to stay here again because of the great views of SFO as well as the convince of of being less than a 10 minute shuttle ride to SFO as well, which was good considering we had a 6 AM flight the next morning.

I stayed here for an overnight before catching a flight. Super convenient. If you stay at some of the other hotels, like the Marriott or Hyatt, you might have to make a stop at another hotel to pick up over guests before you are off to the airport. The westin is closest to the airport and the last stop of a two stop bus, so you get to the terminal faster than other hotels. The hotel is nice an comfortable. Being a starwood property you can expect great bedding for a great night sleep. Being clos... Read more

There are several things about this hotel that's particularly good. -They have a dedicated shuttle service(shared with aloft) which is trackable online, and they run very frequently. -The checkin experience was great, the agent(sadly I forgot to note down her name but she appeared to be a Japanese-American) was very friendly and extremely polite, addressed me by my name in nearly every sentence. She thanked me for my loyalty and continued to recognize my SPG status throughout the conversatio... Read more

Doing business in South San Francisco, I stay here quite often. Although the hotel may be a little lacking in aesthetics, the staff more than compensate. Across the board they are well-trained and completely service oriented. Thus, every stay becomes a real pleasure. On my previous visit, I actually met the manager who was delivering dry cleaning to a customer, this seems to exemplify their standard of service. Nice job Westin.

We stayed here one night before an early-morning flight out of SFO. The room was small but nice, and it was very clean. We had a view of the runways at SFO, which delighted our daughter. I'm giving the hotel an average rating because they were 0-for-3 on things we requested: it took us three asks to get a crib in the room, our 5 a.m. wake-up call never came, and our grab-and-go breakfasts were not prepared (even though we filled out the request the prior evening).

Long Check-In Lines - Grouchy Staff - Over Priced & Over-Rated - DIRTY Phones Checked in around 11:30pm - due to the amount of in/out traffic to/from SFO, as well as the wedding that was wrapping up on-site - the lobby was a madhouse. Felt like I had just walked into Grand Central Station. Stood on line for 18 minutes waiting to check-in - the SPG line was being held up by a guest whom was trying to make sure he got his points for a snickers bar he was purchasing from the front desk. I stayed at the Westin San Francisco Airport Hotel with my wife and two teenage kids. We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is very close to airport. When we arrived in San Francisco it was great to get to our hotel room within 10 minutes after a long flight from the east coast. Very clean hotel that has comfy beds near SFO with free shuttle service. Children loved watching the airplanes take off and land from our window and the staff was very hospitable to our kids. They also have cribs for infants which is a huge plus. Can't say enough good about this place. Stayed for 2 nights.

The hotel is very close to the airport with free shuttle service. The window seems to have good sound insulation as I don't notice the sound of the airplane taking off. Wifi is free for SPG members and is reasonably fast. Hotel on-site parking is $25 a day but I just parked on a nearby side street, which is less than 5 minutes walk away. I was able to find parking easily on all of the 3 nights. The room itself is clean and feels very comfortable. Would stay again next time I am in the area.

This is a beautiful, gracious hotel right on San Francisco Bay, with all the class you would expect from a Westin. The entire property was well maintained and modern; the service was top notch. At the outset, the hotel has a great view of the bay and the SFO airport. Thats about it. The rooms are basic, very small. The worst was the bathroom, it was so cramped. But my worst experience was at the breakfast table. I had booked a breakfast inclusive rate and was surprised when the waiter told me it wasnt so. We stayed here for one night on the way to SFO. The hotel was pretty nice, but it was super full and they didn't have any upgrades for SPG Gold. Large suite rooms with the most comfortable beds! The hotel was nice and the indoor pool was fun for my grandkids. I only wish they didn't charge for parking. Efficient shuttle to airport, helpful staff, decent rooms (ask for Bay view - worth the request to see Bay and SFO arrivals). A very short shuttle ride to the airport. Our room was very quiet to be so close to the airport. The room was very clean and very well kept. I would defiantly stay at this property again.

We stayed one night at this hotel and were disappointed that the hotel did not have an executive lounge. However, they did give us SPG points and a coupon for breakfast, so did the best they could. The airport shuttle runs every 20 minutes, which is convenient. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. I would recommend the Westin Airport for a short stay if you need a hotel near the airport.

While not the cheapest hotel at the airport, this is one of the closest; a very short and free shuttle runs every 15 mins. My mother and I stayed at this property on the last nite of my vacation due to an early flight. Our stay was lovely, we checked in and took the BART into the city for a few hours. The BART station is within walking distance, however parking at BART is only $3. We opted to eat dinner at the restaurant on site and we were not disappointed. I would stay at this property again. ... Read more

these SFO airport hotels, except this place has Edmund and he was great. Nice business center for one just off the lobby and nice shuttle back and forth but hard beds, probably the hardest ever. Thankfully, no noise at an airport hotel, nice. I think the restaurant is a little overpriced but just order the cheapest thing, no minibar.

Every time I have an early morning flight out of SFO I wonder why there isn't a hotel at the terminal but every time I stay at the Westin I'm reminded it just doesn't matter because the Westin is so comfortable. Free shuttle bus service with a link on the web page where you can see how near/far the bus is (although the day I took the shuttle the driver didn't follow the defined route because some pilots were late....)

The close proximity to the airport is the real reason to choose this hotel. Shuttle bus was convenient. Our room was very small. And who puts two double beds in rooms these days instead of two queens? I'm also just flummoxed when a hotel doesn't offer all its guests free wifi in all areas these days - especially in the Bay area. And the fee for parking was pretty high considering it's a "suburban" property.

The rate was the best I could find near SFO. Very short 5 minute shuttle and short wait at the pick up location at the airport. Three receptionists on duty and all were very friendly. I had a basic room. First basic room I ever had anywhere which included a robe. Nice touch! Free WiFi. Also, free bottled water and free Starbucks coffee. Room service is 24 hours. One con: I only wish there was a power strip on the top of the desk for easy access to the outlet for charging my laptop.

This is one of the lowest quality Westins I've ever been to. The location isn't great, the hotel is tired and the rooms are 3 star quality. Why in the world would a hotel like this one put guests in a room practically on top of the service elevator? Especially as the on-duty manager knew about the problem with constant intrusive noise that didn't partially quiet until after midnight. There were other available rooms, so giving us this guestroom (327 which should never have guests in the first place) was totally unacceptable and ruined the experience of staying at what we thought was the perfect airport hotel.
