"Great place! We stayed 2 nights and it was very suitable for my family. Hubby and I both run and loved the path that went just behind the hotel. Our 2 boys really enjoyed the s'mores at the fire. The breakfast included protein choices like greek yogurt and hard boiled eggs- as well as the usual sugary carbs (muffins, cereals, breads). Nice to have that option as they often cost more for the hotel. Hope to come back!"

"Way high for the service. Convenient location but also right by the freeway. But first you have to get passed the dumpster junkyard setting that greets you as soon as you turn into the property. Staff is friendly, but they don't remind you of their free offers, you have to already know them and ask for them. The continental breakfast is quite pitiful for the major money you've dished out to stay in their rather plain hotel. Though I must say I did enjoy the artwork and the photography that is very nicely displayed throughout the facility. Pool and jacuzzi - very, very nice. Bed was comfortable. So called decks off the rooms are barely enough room for one person to sit comfortably.... Really, why have them there.? Standing room only for two. Restaurant on site... Very nice, great food. Great atmosphere. Outdoor fireplace cozy and nice and gives one a chance to meet some of the other guests. Biking was nice too."

"Just a quick comment about the Larkspur in Mill Valley, CA. It's a great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff (thanks especially to Robert and Joanne). The rooms are spacious and very clean, the TV is huge. There is an in-room DVD player, as well as inputs for HDMI, VGA, RCA, USB. They 'rent' bikes for free for 2 hours, which you can take to ride up and down the awesome trail in back, ride to Sausalito, or 'into town'. There is a Golden Gate Transit Park'n'Ride (Mazanita Park'n'Ride) in easy walking distance that you can use to get into SF if needed (0.3 miles from hotel). I took it to Battery and Pine area in the Financial District so that I could also catch the BART. So, even though the commute from Mill Valley into the city is longer, the convenience is no less. And, it's so nice to get out of the city for a while!!! So, why spend the same amount of money for a hole in the wall in SF, when you get get a relatively luxurious spot in paradise?"

"Very comfortable for casual family travel. Pool was heated, hot tub was perfect. Nice little workout room. Continental breakfast was ok, not super high quality, but acceptable (with kids it's nice to have something to eat first thing without going out for a meal.) Beds were comfy, room size good, nice biz center as well. We enjoyed the complimentary DVD rental and the smores kit even though it was too rainy for the outside fire pit. Super easy access to Hwy 101 for travel to SF. We spent two days in the city and one night here (more quiet, free parking, and great pool time - even in bad weather!) The building looks a little dated on the outside, but comfy & clean inside. Very nice front desk staff."

"EXCELLENT location and amenities. hotel has a nice look and feel to it. CONS....outside signage not working...BIG problem. Outer hallways were RIDICULOUSLY cold. Computer room was nice, but no toner in printer. Staff were so so in their helpfulness. GREAT breakfast and smores kit. Bike trails were a big plus. Overall, an above average experience and would probably stay again."

"Great location for traveling with 3 kids and 2 seniors. It was only a 10 min. drive to San Francisco (over the Golden Gate bridge) which was a plus.
Great restaurant on-site, just a bit pricey. We would definitely recommend and stay here again."

"For a place that was built in 1847 and on the National Register of HIstoric Places, it was very comfortable. The full breakfast which was included was very good as was the dinner we had on the outside patio the night before. Although a bit pricey, we enjoyed our stay. "

"The staff and the hotel were very nice. We booked the hotel through Bookit.com and when we arrived the company told them we were on our honeymoon, and when we arrived there was a nice handwritten note congratulating us. It is a very nice homey hotel and I would recommend it to anyone."
