Man broke in to the sliding glass door the second night I was there. Fortunately he ran off when I screamed. If I could have afforded to get another hotel room I would have been out of there. The bathroom was infested with fleas and fleas. The fixtures in the bathroom were equally ancient.

During our trip cross country, this was the lowest priced motel, but very adequate rooms and furnishings. Marina was very welcoming and helpful. My husband used as a base to travel to Yosemite. Basic breakfast.

We were heading south and stayed here for the night. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of hot water and love the bathroom sink outside the toilet and shower. Breakfast was good with waffles and the usual food items. Would definitely stay in this affordable hotel again if we were in the area.

We only wanted to spend night somewhere cheap on our way from Yosemite to San Francisco. This motel was one of the cheapest options in Merced and there's not much to say about it. It was alright for the price, nothing fancy. Great breakfast including fruit and fresh waffles stood out.

motel locate outskirt of city main, which limited access to downtown, but in exchange, it gives quite and cozy place to stay before entering the great Yosemite NP. normally 2~2.5 hour drive from SFO, but gotta be prepared traffice jam if you'll depart from SFO between 16:00 - 19:00. also it takes another 2 hour drive to El Capitan meadow from this hotel. break fast was quite good, considering its 3 star grade and affordable price of staying

Nice overnight motel for the cheap price. My partner and I needed an inexpensive hotel to rest for one night after driving almost 10 hours from Oregon. This hotel served its purpose. No itā??s not the Marriott or Hiltonā?¦ but it was clean, quiet and basic. The hotel premises looked a little sketchy and the breakfast was just barely sufficient (toast, cereal, fruit juice, etc). But this is still a good motel for 1 or 2 nights max.. or if you just need a night to rest from being on the road.

The hotel is well located - between Sequoia NP and Yosemite NP. We booked two double rooms. Both rooms were large and clean. It is a great deal for the money you pay for it. Cheap, comfortable and complimentary continental breakfast with self-made waffles. If you are looking for a quality budget accommodation this is your place!

The overworked desk clerk managed to remain pleasant in spite of apparent booking screw ups, and bus loads of guests. The property is run down, every aspect of it needs repair. The rooms are large. We took one look at the breakfast and skipped it, very sparse. There are several restaurants within walking distance, including a Black Bear Diner.

I had stayed at this location exactly one year ago. I had stayed here for a total of 12 days. BIG improvement since my last stay. The room was cleaner, the carpet seemed fresher, the restrooms a little clear and brighter. No bugs in my room this time. The courtyard seemed greener and nicer looking! The check in experience was fast which was nice since I had come from far away. It was quiet, except for a train that passes by often, but its nothing major. Its not the Hilton, but for the price its ... Read more

A friend of mine needed someone to put up a cash deposit in the amount of $50 which I did. When my friend checked out the next day, the girl at the front desk only gave back $35 saying a $5 wash cloth & a $10 hand towel was missing. So after a few trips there they agreed to accept replacements. So I went there to find out if my $15 was put back on my account. The girl at the front desk said it was that she saw the receipt so I asked for the receipt, then she tells it'll be awhile. Anyway the $15 w... Read more

Checked in at 2pm to find out that somehow Booking dot com had reserved 3 rooms for me. When I told lady at the desk that I needed only one she stated had I come a little later in the day she wouldve had to charge me for 3 rooms. No, I have a confirmation for 1 room only. The website states they have a pool. Its empty. The website states they have WiFi. Well they SAY they do but when I complained that I had no signal for my 2 day stay the man said theyd had alotta complaints about that. Soda ma... Read more

My family and I stayed at the Americas Best Value Inn Merced for one night. The room was quite big and clean. The bathroom was nice and clean. The walls of the Inn are a little thin, you could hear your neighbours quite good. The breakfast was okay. Sometimes you get kicked off the WiFi connection for no reason. The pool was really nice and big. The staff was nice and friendly.

Stayed here for two nights since we went up to the Yosemite park. It's about a 2 hour drive. The motel room was very spacious and beds were comfortable. The wifi was free and I was surprised how fast it was. The only complaints I have is that the towels are a little small and the bathroom door handle was falling off in our room. But I would overall stay here again.

Actually it was a really great choice to stay here. Liked how clean and finished the rooms were. Perfect place to break up the journey to Yosemite . Very reasonable price too. Good channels on tv and perfect parking right outside your room. Try the BBQ pit for dinner . Fantastic BBQ !

We chose this place as our base for a long weekend in Yosemite. We arrived after midnight and when I tried to enter the lobby, the door was locked. I was required to use a security pass-thru under a glass window which made it nearly impossible to communicate. I realized later that this wasn't the best part of town to be in after dark. When we got to the room, the A/C was off and the room was hot. Because we arrived late, we wanted to go straight to bed, but the heat made it difficult to sleep. A... Read more

The location by the freeway is convenient but unfortunate due to the incredible amount of road noise. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Ask for a room as far away from the freeway as possible! Rooms were nicely updated for the price.

We stopped for the night at this hotel, being the only available hotel on a summer weekend. We were assigned to a smoking room as there were no other rooms available. The first thing we noticed was that the room was very dirty. The carpets were stained, the bathroom floor and tub discolored, and even the bed sheets had stains on them. Since we reached very late and just stayed the night, there wasn't much else to do at this point. The staff were very friendly, though, and breakfast was good. It... Read more

First the staff was nice I can not blame them for the condition of the hotel. Bed and interior of the room was beat. Smelled like someone smoked in the room. Shady looking guy was riding a bike right in front of the room doors at night that looked like a strait up meth head makes the place seem a seedy motel. Though not all the clientele was like this there were a lot of Europeans customers that looked like they were roped into this place by good reviews (what are you smoking people). I have st... im pretty sure im going to have to throw all our luggage away. my son is covered head to toe in bug bites and i found what looked like a bed bug on my shirt. there was mouse droppings in the tub that i rinsed out and then there were more in tub the next morning since we stayed 2 nights. there were cockroaches as well on the ceilings and nasty crusty stuff im assuming was puke encrusted into the carpet. i also dont think the sheets were clean either.

It was the price - more than $100 less than other major motels. But there are drawbacks: skimpy towels, dim lighting, some aging carpeting. The bed was very comfortable, and the office staff friendly and able. We were there for a very short time, but the hotel filled our needs.

We stayed here for a week while exploring central California and the Bay area. Our room was pretty clean, although I did see a cockroach. The TV was outdated and the furniture was very worn out. Our room had neither a desk nor a table. The parking lot was dimly lit and I did not see any security. The hotel was conveniently located but rather noisy. It was a good value but not a particularly good hotel.

We were stopping here on our drive from Tahoe to the big sur. The town is quite small but near the hotel are several restaurants and other motels plus a general store and laundrette. The hotel room was huge. We arrived in our room and the air con didn't work. We went to reception and were given a new room. This was fine. The showers are good. Bath is very small. The bed is enormous as is the room. Good cable TV. There was a cockroach on our landing. We were on the upper floor. It was the onl... Read more

When it comes to travelling, I'll sacrifice comfort for accessibility and for cost. This hotel was great for both. Is it a 5 star hotel? Far, far from it. But for 85$ a night and only 80 miles from Yosemite Valley, it most certainly met our needs. We traveled in June and had an amazing time hiking in the valley! The drive back to Merced was also scenic as we left around sunset.

We chose Merced as our starting point for Yosemite. We drove there from Sequoia NP and after a long drive we were accepted by attentive receptionist, who gave us all the information about the motel, we could even get pool towels. Our room was at the pool looking across the pool. I did not use the pool though as we came late from Yosemite and it got chilly in the evening, plus I did not feel comfortable as I would be the only one. We were offered a free simple brakfast, although not mentioned in ... Read more
