The room was very clean & comfortable. The staff was very anxious to help with any questions! We rented bikes & rode up the coast-- right from the hotel. Everything was great!! Would stay there again in a heart beat!

While the hotel looks good, and the service is nice, the walls are paper thin. You can see from the construction that this is really a very nice Marriott, not a real 5-star hotel. Guests 3 doors down were hooting and hollering all night. Security was unable to get them to quiet down, and as a result, I slept terribly.

The Ritz always has the finest reputation in the business...but not the experience this weekend 1. Called before arrival to have fruit and nut tray deliver to my son's room. Never happened because it had wrong name...not my sons as I had told them again with the front desk when I checked in . 2 No one was out front to take our bags when we drove up front ...so we dragged to front desk...then asked if we needed help 3. We just came back from a weekend stay here, our daughter had her wedding reception here as well. So there are two parts of this review, the hotel and the catering. So undeniable that the place is great looking, with rooms recently renovated. Many beautiful sites around the property to take pictures. So at nearly $400 a night for a room that is average is a bit steep. Especially when you' re nickeled and dimed on everything. What do I mean? $40 a day to park your car, plus of course the customa... Read more

Spent 3 nights here with my wife. Everything was all we could ask for, big spacious & clean rooms. Comfortable bed, had a pool/marina view which was great. Staff was very helpful. Room service was ordered one night & it was pretty good for being room service. Wish we could have taken advantage of the amenities more i.e. pool, tennis courts, spa etc., but so many things to do in the surrounding area.

This marina side restaurant is soothing to the eyes. The cocktails have a great taste. Rooms are very comfortable. House keeping would like the homemade chocolate cookies in my room everyday. I have only compliments for Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey.

Beautiful property, great views, friendly staff, but you??ll likely feel a bit isolated if you don??t sail. Beaches are at the far-edge of walking distance, and there are only a handful of restaurants nearby?? although Killer Café was a great find. Shopping is pretty much non-existent. The showerhead in our bathroom was a handheld type, but when you set it on its holder it sprayed straight to the back of the shower, which would cause water to leak out onto the bathroom floor? maybe this w... The staff at the Ritz Carton Marina del Rey are phenomenal. They were able to accommodate my every request and MORE. Special thank you to Jaimie at the front desk, Michael in the restaurant, the concierge, the valet, the driver - they were all FANTASTIC!! Our room was clean and comfortable. The views are spectacular. Every single staff person at the hotel was pleasurable and professional. They don't miss a beat!! Thank you for the great service and making it such a memorable trip. I was actually attending a charity event at the Ritz Carlton recently, and I arrived there and my brand new dress did not travel well. I was mortified at how wrinkled I was. A lovely young woman at the reception came to my aide and saved the night!! A huge thank you to Marian Valdez at the front desk that tried to locate an iron for me and finally gave me a key to an unused room where I could iron my dress and go on with my evening. Thanks Marian! You are a treasure and the Ritz is very luck... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Ritz. The room was nice by the lobby's restaurant does not embrace the Ritz Carlton credo. To much of what they can't do and very little attention to specific needs and wants. They have a Sunday brunch at 11:30 AM and made it very difficult to get a table to order off the menu at 9:30. When advised there would be a bit of a wait they did not even offer a cup of Coffee while we were waiting on the sofas. When they offered us an indoor table we asked for a table ne... Read more

I stayed at this place for a conference and now I'm spoiled by the fabulous service. The bar is expensive, but it's what I expected at a Ritz Carlton. I did not eat at the restaurant, but I did enjoy the firelit tables outside along the bay. Gorgeous property. My only complaint is that the wifi that works in your room doesn't work in the conference center area for business travelers.

This is a great hotel....very low key and each time I've been there are always Hollywood stars coming or going. I would also spend a little extra and pay for the club access. The club has tables which overlook the marina below and it's a very relaxing way to start your day with the breakfast buffet.

As a meeting planner and avid traveler, the Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, is hands-down the best! The hotel has a fantastic location next to the calm waters of the marina. I've been coming here before and after the Cast & Plow renovation and the outdoor patio on their main level is still one of my favorite spots for a cocktail at sunset. I've hosted meetings and events here for several years. The service is top notch and the food is amazing. The Spa Del Rey is my go-to in the west side. When i... Read more

We had breakfast here first which was so good we booked to dinner too - it's a little pricey but so worth it, the food is locally sourced and organic. The cocktails are amazing!!! Good service and a lovely atmosphere, great for a candlelit dinner! Definitely recommended and we would come back!!

This is a first class hotel in an interesting place. Right in the middle of the marina at Marina Del Ray and right next door to Venice Beach. The usual impeccable Ritz Carlton service, cleanliness and food.

From San Diego so hanging down at the marina isn't a novelty (we took a boat to catalina for a day). For a Ritz property, this one didn't really live up to my expectations. The restaurant, Cast & Plow, has terrible service. It's run like room service, not like a real restaurant so service runs at quarter speed. On more than one occasion, we had to wait 15-20 mins to get a coffee and water refill...this should NEVER happen in a restaurant but happens frequently at this property. If that matters... Read more

I stayed for my Birthday and took mom to share a weekend together. We had dinner and sat by the fireplace. Mom so cute she just wanted to hang out in the room to relax. Great hotel for weddings that Ive also attended. Great lounge area for a few cocktails and bite to eat. Shops in the hotel. Walking distance from many restaurants and shops. Come enjoy the pool area or take a walk.

MDR Ritz has been our family go-to hotel for many years. Generally good service, super convenient location and nice amenities. Returned last week and was disappointed in the lack of any sort of cohesive and consistent service, from the front desk, to the pool service, to the Cast & Plow restaurant. The sad truth about this property is that there's no value placed on frequent guests, elite status or retention of repeat guests. It's my opinion they don't really care as their core customer base is... Read more

Stayed for 4 nights whilst attending a conference. Have stayed before, and previously thought it was overrated, but over the past 12 months the rooms have been refurbished, and I have to say the improvements are really great. Slept like a log, bed was extremely comfy! All of the staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly, and the pool area was a joy on the hottest of days. Looking forward to returning next year.

This is an absolutely fabulous hotel. Very friendly staff, great restaurant with view of the Marina. Perfect pool atmosphere. Not too many kids and families and a mature enough crowd to enjoy the hotel bar at night. Everything is definitely Ritz caliber and then some.

Overall, we were pleased by the professional staff and the rooms/amenities/restaurant at this Ritz property for our first stay. However, it was so full over the weekend with a wedding and the holiday that we were unable to pay to access the concierge level which was disappointing. We have strong loyalty to the Ritz Carlton brand and didn't feel like we were catered to on this particular visit due to the crowds. They were doing construction on our floor which made it rather loud and jarring. The... Read more

Stayed at the Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey for just a long weekend, but had so much fun. Walking distance to Tonys for delicious bites & Napa wines. The hotel itself had a wonderful restaurant in the lobby, a gorgeous pool overlooking the marina and big beautiful spacious rooms. You can always count on this Ritz for a solid stay. Front desk is excellent, Elizabeth the hostess at breakfast always remembers my name and the door man is quite good. Restaurant is way overpriced but to some extent they have you captive due to location. But overall a very good spot.

I could go on and on about how clean the hotel is, how perfect the location is, how professional the staff is, how comfortable and wonderful the outdoor restaurant is, but you know all that. My comments are why I can't give it a 5 rating: * Paying for parking - $40+tax per night. * Noisy pool area - Music was awful, loud and not relaxing as we were hoping for, Crowded, lots of children too, even in the hot tub unattended. * Lastly, when is it ok to allow children to (literally) run around ... The hotel facility was old. Service was average. There was nothing that I could feel Ritz Carlton Brand with the hotel. Only one dining option in this hotel is just an average coffee shop if located on the street, which serves seafood during dining hours and alcohol from the beginning. Food and Service level is again just average but pricing is Ritz Carlton. I do not like Ritz Carlton at LA LIVE so much. However, I would say it was 100 times better than this Ritz Carlton. We experienced an outstanding extended stay on the concierge level due to the excellent staff at the lounge who each day made sure we enjoyed our time and made us feel like we were part of their family. This Ritz Carlton hotel is located right on the marina (no beach) and has a nice pool area (but is not a high end resort - more like a high end business/city hotel). It is conveniently located to LAX airport, downtown LA, and about a mile to Venice Beach.

I am a big fan of this chain. I have personally stayed at more than 12 Ritz Carlton hotels and appreciate their hotels--so much so I seek them out. This was our first time at this property. I wish I could give them a better grade but I cannot. The pros (good location, friendly and helpful bell staff and wait staff) was outweighed by the cons. there are limited choices in the beach areas closeby LAX but I probably will find another option on my next trip to the area. the hotel seemed more like a worn Marriott. there was a very odd smell in the rooms (maybe from newish carpet) but others parts of the room looked old/worn. The front desk staff were friendly. Some room have a nice view of the marina.
