We had a great time at out one night stay in This hotel. We were surprised when we got there that they were starting renovations on the front lobby and thought this might have been told to us prior to us arriving but no matter it did not really affect us too much during our stay. The pool and room were clean and well cared for. We had some issues with our air conditioner and they fixed it right away. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant during our stay. Small, comfortable hotel with all of the amenities one might require. Large. comfortable rooms. Staff is professional, attentive and friendly. On site restaurant offers excellent food at reasonable prices. Happy hour food offerings a big draw. . Fee parking is a bit much, though typical of hotels in the area. (Ask for a discount!) Location convenient to LAX, Venice and Marina deal Rey. Santa Monica reasonably close, without the need to access a freeway. A real plus!

To the hostess inside the restaurant. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Glad we came cause they will see us a lot more often now.

Jamaica Bay inn was a great stay. We had a suite there. Their restaurant was very mixed with its service but food good and reasonable. Marina del Ray itself is slightly out On a limb but walking distance to Venice beach and if u are a walker Santa Monica. We did not use any other facilities there. It was certainly good value for money.

The Jamaica Bay is not is not the Ritz so if you are looking for a Ritz like experience, stay somewhere else. On the other hand, it is a delightful, down to earth, quaint, family friendly type of place that is well maintained, quiet and reasonable. I was looking for a quieter alternative than Downtown LA for my business trip and decided to try Marina Del Rey. It was a great decision. Other than the commute on I-10, the Marina is a great alternative. My room was big, very comfortable, clean and ... Read more

Modern hotel. We booked a King with Marina View (balcony) and the room was spacious and clean, which also goes for the bathroom. Comfortable bed. The check in was an unpleasant experience, because the staff was very unhelpful, they just did not seem to be interested at all. No help offered with luggage. Shame that, because we really wanted to love this place. Also the lobby was renovated at the time of our stay, which in itself was no problem at all. But it would have just been a nice touch to i... We stayed here for two nights and loved it. It is right on its own little beach and the property is absolutely beautiful! Had a room overlooking the little marina and beach...so pretty! The room was clean and comfy and the amenities were fantastic! We booked this through the actual hotel and not through a travel website. In doing that we got 20% off so it was quite a bit cheaper than any of the travel websites. Overall, loved it and the Cheesecake Factory next door is fantastic! :)

Third stay at this fine spot. The upbeat, winning attitude of every employee and the laid-back atmosphere makes it truly more of an inn than a hotel. The contrast with the glitzy Marriott across the street couldn't be greater. I wish the rating system offered more choices of increments between 4 and 5, because although the Inn is not yet a 5, it's a lot higher than a 4 (realistically: 4.5). The waiter on the morning we had breakfast was brilliant, he gave us a map, advice on getting around and some must sees to which we ended up changing our plans for the day and took the gentleman's advice :-) Parking is a little toppy at $16 per day for self drive (non valet parking) but this is to be expected in America. Nice little hotel. Very clean and good food in the restaurant. The pool is pretty small and we didn't get the room I booked online a little disappointed but it's no big deal...We are only here one night. The bartenders aren't very friendly at all both times I visited day and night and my Rose was terrible and very over priced! But overall staff was very friendly.

Me and my brother went on our first trip to the states, and chose Marina Del Rey because of its proximity to Venice Beach. We picked the Jamaica Bay Inn based on the great reviews it had on tripadvisor...and so glad we did! The hotel is a nice size, and there is something very welcoming about it. We had a little look at its neighbouring Marriot hotel (just to compare) and Jamaica Bay Inn is so much better. Firstly the rooms are lovely. Clean, spacious and had everything we needed (Molton Brown... Read more

We've stayed in this hotel which is closely to LAX and Venice Beach. Great location. It is actually a really nice and quite hotel. The rooms are spacious and have a nice view over the bay (if you book it). The restaurant in the hotel is nice and so is the staff. However, we had 1 big shock. After dinner we had 3 Espresso. This totaled into.... $30,-. This is the most outrageous price I've every paid for a double Espresso, including the most premium locations like the San Marco Square in Venice... Read more

I visited for work, average stay and good customer service. My fridge broke and when I told the front desk attendent, she tried to offer me free coffee and fruit. Pros: front desk staff was really nice. Obviously renovated and the bathroom upgrades were noticeable. Clean and close to lots of stores and restaurants. Cons: Fridge broke so my food spoiled. Stuffy smell in my room. Entrances blocked off so ubers were confused.

My husband, myself and two friends from Norway had a layover in Los Angeles and selected this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews as well as proximity to LAX and the beach. Wow! We arrived at 10 a.m. -- way before 3 p.m. check-in, but were greeted by Inés and other friendly hotel staff with huge smiles and suggestions on how to pass the time until our room was ready. They stored our bags and set our party up with rental bikes. It is a leisurely 45-minute bike ride to Will Rogers State Beach, pas... Read more

We were really pleased we chose this hotel the location was great , you could walk to a few restaurants, and a path lead to Venice beach and Santa Monica beach so you could hire a bike and go for a ride . The rooms were large , really clean they provided moulten brown toiletries which was a nice touch ,we upgraded to a bay view which had a balcony overlooking the bay / pool and well kept gardens. We ate here in the restaurant , it was a little pricey but one of the best meals I ate during my 3 we... Read more

We stayed just one night - a Saturday, before flying home on Sunday evening. Check in was seamless and friendly. Parking easy - self parked, was still I think 16 bucks. I don't know why you would pay for Valet parking which is quite a bit more (I think British maybe don't go in for this as much). We got room 455. This was a lovely room overlooking the harbour and was on the top floor. Everything was in good working order and it was quiet. Comfy beds. Huge TV if that is your thing. Mini Molton B... Read more

When choosing the ultimate destination for our 20+ visitors from all regions in the US, we wanted to give them the ultimate California experience while still being close enough to our University campus (LMU). We visited many hotels and inns within a mile from this one and all offered GREAT views of the Marina. However, this one has it's own little slice of beach - Mother's Beach. While we planned to keep them pretty occupied the whole time they were here, we knew how restorative a quick walk a... Read more

This hotel is very nice. Two of us thought the queen beds were comfortable and 2 thought they were too hard. We had a little balcony out of our room which was nice to enjoy the scenery of the marina. The only fault I had with the room is that the sink area, toilet and tub are all together which makes it more difficult for a family of 4 to get ready quick.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks last year and after a great holiday, we returned again this year and had another enjoyable stay. Food in the restaurant is excellent we ate there most evenings, where I would like to mention the bar staff Lance, Richard & Justin who really looked after us, as did all the other staff who were always friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an ideal area and not far from the Airport nice and relaxing, rooms are clean & spacious and we had a room with a Marina Vie... Read more

From the second I arrived at this Hotel we were treated with first class customer service. Anthony goes out of his way to ensure you are getting the best treatment possible. The other staff from the bartender at the Beachside Grill, to the girl working valet, to all of the other people working the front desk. They are all great. I would highly recommend this place to stay and you are short distance to Cheesecake Factory as well as other good spots in MDR, Venice, and Santa Monica.

Always take reviews with a grain of salt, but here it goes. The Good: - Hotel is in a great location on the marina in Marina del Rey, which gave great access to Santa Monica, Venice Beach, L.A., and the surrounding communities (Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc.) - Free WiFi. The Bad - The rooms: a) The air conditioning was horrible and alternated between Celcius and Fahrenheit, and there was very little ability to control the massive fluctuations. The only way to get it to work w... Read more

Great hotel! We had never stayed here before but we're definitely going back next time we're in town. Check in with Henry was fast & smooth. Check out was just as efficient with Inez. Both were welcoming & friendly. While heading back to my room after an early morning walk, I ran into Carlos (a manager, I think). He was so friendly while telling me about the amenities. Before we parted, he asked if there was anything he could do for us. Our extra towels had arrived by the time I finally got back... Read more

Our overall experince is quite positive. The pros are its location, hospitality, staff, cleanliness, its restaurant. We rented their bikes and rode to Santa Monica. Taylor ( bell boy) was very kind and helpful. The restaurant's patio has its unique charm. We had a romantic supper during sunset. The area is quiet and its beach adds to the tranquility. The Only negative remark on our stay is parking. We understand that parking could be a commodity in peak season but for our stay the parking was ... Read more

We rented two rooms for three days for us as well as our daughter's family and could not have been a better choice. Close proximity of rentals for standup paddleboards, bicycles, and the Mother's beach was perfect for the age range of our grandchildren. The real beach was a short walk away as well. Lots of restaurants around the area within walking distance. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and had a good experience there. Rooms were nice and clean ........ no issues there. They hav... I booked a marina view room through a third party website. I could have booked a partial view room for less but a view and balcony is important to me. There website states that all marina view (not partial) have a balcony or patio. On arrival I found I had been given a partial view room with no balcony. When I went to address this I was lied to and first of all told I had the right room, and that then I didn't but the right one wasn't available. Was told there was no balcony availability. The ma... Upon arrival we were greated with lovely welcomes from the valet & front desk. We then made our way to our room and found we had been unexpectedly upgraded to a suite. We made our reservation for this room four months previously (in August) for one night, knowing that the hotel would be busy over the Thanksgiving weekend. We booked a 'partial marina view' room through the hotel's own website. On arrival at the hotel on Friday 25th November, after a 12 hour flight from our home in the U.K., we were given access to our room. Now, I can only guess what fate befell the previous occupants of this room, but the deep cleansing that had obviously taken place after th... Read more
