I had to double check this establishment was actually the one I was staying in as some of the glowing reviews published don't stack up at all with my humble experience. The receptionists were, uniformly, of the misery-rules-the-day-I-can't-really-be bothered-with-all-this-variety. The barman in the evening seemed to think his job was one huge joke in which customers were a minor inconvenience. As ever in this type of place we seemed to be located as far as possible from the reception area, up th... Read more

Loved the decor in this hotel. Rustic but still very classy. An antique here and there adding so much to the character and charm of this lodge. It also wins the most comfortable bed award on our most recent vacation. While at first touch my husband worried that the mattress would be too soft it actually was a soft pillow top with a base that was very supportive. Best nights sleep. Wanted to disassemble the bedding to find out the brand. I didn't.

We stayed in the unrenovated rooms. Stay was comfortable and staff was nice. Lots of onsite conveniences and good value. Nice to have onsite ski rental and lots of dining options within walking distance. Lobby is central hub, free hot cocoa from 4-6pm, kids club on the other side of the hotel felt safe and free for young guests. Family oriented and pet friendly.

Well not 4* as expected on this tour but as expected by Cosmos standard. Nice stay, rooms comfortable, Very lodge like ,in mountains could imagine great in winter for skiers, Hotel itself some nice touches in rooms , family orientated , the corridors were a bit grubby and we had quite a walk to reception, can easily get lost when looking for your room as they all look the same. We ate at a small Mexican restaurant round the back of hotel it was great value.Although the waiter didnt quite underst... Read more

So nice and comfortable, with great décor. Our puppy had a great time, and it's perfect for kids as well. Also, you're located just 10 minutes away from the main lodge. There are bus stops right outside the property to make it very easy to take the bus to the mountain and back, or wherever you'd like to go. We went out there with a large group of our friends and our dog. Even everyone who we met there was nice and our puppy made a couple friends while we stayed there. Jess was unbelievably nice... The room is very old, no air conditioning, and their were dirty rags left in the shower from the previous guest! Not a 4.5 star hotel! Needs updating and old carpets ripped out. Our money was not reimbursed. Do not stay here. 3 hours from Yosemite eastern entrance... Get something closer and cleaner and newer

Whilst completing a roadtrip some friends and I were looking for somewhere to stay close to Yosemite without being too expensive. This was brilliant for location plus it was pretty easy to find. However the rooms were pretty outdated and basic with no air conditioning and a microwave on the floor, also the shower was very noisy, trying to get ready in the morning without waking other's up was impossible. However it was clean and the beds were very comfortable, also the staff were all very friend... Read more

Large motel type hotel which caters for skiers in winter and hikers and visitors in the summer. We had quite a large room with two double beds and were provided with coffee maker , safe , tv , aircon and free WiFi. The room appeared to have been updated but still seemed a little dated. The Rafters restaurant and bar serves the hotel and we had a meal and drinks during happy hour 4.30pm to 6.10pm. We had burger and pizza and two drinks for about $50 including tips. The restaurant did not appear t... Read more

We had visited Mammoth several years ago and stayed at The Village Lodge Mammoth. It was newer and very nice with kitchenette and separate bedroom and bath. This trip we booked The Lodge at Sierra Nevada Resort And Spa thinking it was the same. Pictures looked great on the internet site! While booking I was speaking to a lady at the front desk and she told me it was the same hotel but different section w/smaller rooms- no kitchenette. I'm not sure if I was mislead, she was confused, I confused h... Read more
