Hotel and it's staff were amazing. They let us check in few hours early. We got a condo that was facing the mountains. Such a beautiful view and room, very clean too. Great location near the city night life and slopes if you ski/snow board. Only problems were I booked 1 king, 2 double, and pull out couch bed condo and was given 1 king, 1 double, and 2 bunk beds, with pullout couch. Uncomfortable for 4 adults, didn't sleep well. Also, they charge you 1st day right after booking. Then charge you ... Read more

We stayed in a two bedroom suite. It was clean and beautiful, the kitchen was well equipped and our location was quiet. Nice balcony overlooking the Eagle Lodge. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We usually stay in a condo nearby, the daily maid service was a real plus.

A group of friends decided at the last minute to embark on a mammoth weekend at chose Juniper Springs resort as our destination for a home hub. The rooms are spacious with full kitchens and equipped with everything you need, however I would say they could use a little updating and renovation to bring them to the 21st century. Staff is awesome, friendly and helpful. The shuttle was a plus.

This is the second time we have stayed here and first time to write a review. The staff is competent, the resort is spotless and our unit (we had a two bedroom #229) was well equipped, well decorated and had two kings. We were very satisfied. Good bedding, plenty of pillows. Slept well. Only pain is ice machine is on the first floor. Also, there is a "resort fee" but it was nominal.

We stopped here after being on the road for several weeks just to rest and recoup for the rest of our trip. The condos are all individually owned so the docor is different in each. The one we stayed in was 2 bedroom/2 bat -- perfect for two couples. Since we had been on the road for quite a while eating meals in restaurants it was nice to be able to cook our own simple fare and just relax. There is a big Vonn's supermarket in town so you can buy what you need after you arrive. Our kitchen h... Read more

An out of season overnight stay as a base to get into Yosemite meant a stop in a nearly deserted resort. Upgraded on check in to a large one bedroomed suite. Standard fare again with dated furniture and fixtures but clean enough. Disappointed there wasn‚??t as much as a bar or coffee shop available in the hotel, if they‚??re trying to sell themselves as a year round destination this isn‚??t good enough, that said it wasn‚??t a surprise as we we‚??re probably one of only a few dozen occupants of ... Staff were really friendly and helpful - offering advise on where to get breakfast - which we took up and thoroughly enjoyed. I came here for business reasons and it was fine. The room was dated, the hotel dated, and the front staff didn't know how to operate the printer in the business center. This is fine, I guess. There's no AC, really, but if you keep the windows and doors open, the room will be fairly comfortable.

We stayed at Juniper, using the location as a "back door" to visit Yosemite. Great to be able to enjoy the area around Mammoth and to get into Yosemite from the mountainous side with much shorter lines to enter. Juniper has a very nice lay-out of the rooms, fireplace in the colder months and very functional kitchen. Juniper Springs has become my go-to place to stay when in Mammoth. It's clean, well run and I think a great value for what you get. So much of Mammoth lodging is old and beat to death - Juniper Springs is a refreshing deviation without paying for top notch Village accommodations. I cant say if juniper is a good place for the winter - I tend to avoid Mammoth during ski season (we go to Alta) but for summer activities like fishing, Mtn biking and hiking it's a great base of operations.

Two dining chairs and coffee table had wobbly legs (maintenance fixed them after we called). Bedding looked good at first glance, but two of the top sheets had holes and tears in them. Fireplace not usable because gas was turned off--staff said it would make our room too hot. Flat screen TV was on the sm... Read more

this is my third stay atJuniper springs and I like it just as much. It helps that the management has been so nice to us. ONe year they let us check in super early, like before noon maybe, and this year they upgraded us to two bedrooms from one. But the pleasures go beyond that. ALthough its just a large scale 4 story ski building, I'm fond of ithe grand camp mountain style so I enjoy those touches. Plus the shape of the building minimizes the proximity of the other apartments. THere are tall tre... Read more

The hotel was totally fine. It didn't blow my hair back with excellence but it was adequate. Our room was clean and the shower had good water pressure. The room was blazing hot. There wasn't AC in the room but we did discover a fan in the middle of the night which helped. It was sufficient for the price.

Juniper Springs is a wonderful and relaxing place to stay. It is nice to just hang out at Juniper relaxing by the pool and taking walks on the beautiful paved trail behind it. Of course, after a day of hiking and fishing it is a cozy place to return to clean up and chill out. I LOVE the condo aspect as we like to cook our own meals although we do enjoy some of Mammoth's cuisine too. The beds are very COMFY too! My husband and I absolutely LOVE this resort. The staff here are nice and efficient. The rooms are beautiful, kitchen fully equipped, and views are stunning. The location is tucked away perfectly so you're away from the car and foot traffic, yet it's centrally located. Sick of driving? No problem! They have a shuttle that can pick you up and dropped you off wherever you want. I've been here in the winter months, as well, and this resort is by far the best. Stayed this past weekend to attend a wedding at Convict Lake, and arrived early. Jess and Jewell at the front desk gave top notch customer service, like we couldn't ask for better care! Called ahead a few hours to let the resort know we were on our way so we could request early check-in as advised by the resort earlier in the week, and Jessica (who insisted she was the only one working at 6am) was extremely rude and informed me we couldn't check in until 2pm, no exceptions because they were boo... Had a great stay at juniper springs beds comfy and good sized room. We traveled in a group with multiple rooms and the quality did vary as they are individually owned so some are better than others. After a hard day on the slopes the out door spas are an amazing place to wind down and ease the sore muscles sitting in the snow. shuttle bus to town and around the mountain is handy to get around

For 10 years straight, my wife and I have spent our anniversary at Juniper Springs and have been treated with the utmost respect and care by the excellent and friendly staff. The Maintenance personnel will go out of they're way to help. Great venue to get away from the rat race and relax in one of the most beautiful and picturesque locations on earth! not to mention the activities like fishing, hiking, sightseeing, and having a cold one at the highest elevation brewery in the US.

We had the one bedroom suite. Megan checked us in and was very helpful in taking us to the two bedroom suite in case we wanted more privacy and did not want one of us to be sleeping on the sofa bed. Suite was good sized. Sofa bed and actual king bed were average. Negative: just could not turn off the heater so room was stuffy despite us opening the windows/balcony doors.

The wife and I broke up our drive to Tahoe here and were very pleased. Never having stayed in Mammoth, we enjoyed the village that night for dinner, and the complimentary shuttle service helped. This resort is made up of individual owners units that are managed as a hotel as well. Our unit, a studio on the fourth floor was overall clean and our deck was massive. The furniture was old and beat up, the bed needs to be replaced, but overall the location and amenities were great. We used the p... Read more

Booked this resort to spend a few days hiking in the mountains around Mammoth. We were impressed with the size of the room and how well appointed it was. The resort had outdoor hot tubs which were a godsend after a day on the trails and a nice way to finish the day The only downside is the distance to town - approx 2 miles and the lack of a bar on site. Although there is a free shuttle this stopped running at 6pm so to go into town for a drink or food meant either another walk or taxi ride A... Read more

I would rate this as 3.5 to 4 stars. The location and rooms are great, but it isn't really a hotel, it's a condotel and, frankly, without food or bar on site (just a small coffee bar), I wouldn't call it a resort either. It's about a 5 minute drive to the main drag in Mammoth and is off on its own. If you don't mind driving around for everything, it might be for you. The rooms are large and fairly new. My room had a separate bedroom and a pull out in the living area (each with own tv). It also h... Read more

I'm in the mammoth area on a very consistent basis during the summer, for 3 summers now. I've stayed here on many occasions during the last three summers and as a "condo" type property goes, it's pretty tough to beat. Nice rooms, very spacious for a couple or small family in the single bedroom units which is where I stay. The beds are always very comfortable and nice crisp linens. Stayed at their two bedroom apartments it was really cozy and the view was breathtaking. Restaurants are pretty expensive around Mammoth Lakes, so if you are on a budget the big BBQ's at the pool is a great option. We had some nice dinners out there... We recently spent four nights at JSR and found our experience to very pleasurable. The resort is worth every bit of the 3.5 stars it is rated, from the accommodations, staff, location and for all the amenities that are offered. The Emily's, Jess and the rest of the ladies we met at the front desk were more than helpful in assisting us with our needs and very knowledgeable in directing us to the many activities and attractions in the Mammoth Lakes area. Plenty of local options for eating out, but all amenities in the room if you want to cook or just have breakfast. Board games, a DVD and book about the area were all in the room. Their cancellation policy states you must cancel within 48 hours from check-in. I canceled my reservation 50 hours before my check-in date and was told I was not getting a refund because technically I needed to cancel my reservation three days before my check-in. That makes no sense to me since you policy is 48 hours; that's two days not three. I'll book my visit there somewhere else.
