The W is absolutely one of our favorite properties in LA. Great location and great people. Really enjoy the casual dining in The Backyard by the pool. Be sure to ask for Moses as your waiter. Outstanding service and he's been a fixture here for years. People such as Moses are one of the reasons we enjoy this place so much.

Rooms are spacious, location is good, service is competent and loved the Bliss spa. I did not like the pool area. Overall I would say a great place to stay particularly if you want to use it as a hub to do activities outside the hotel. I would go again.

I spent a week at the W. From the moment I checked in, the hotel staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I had such a great experience that I did not want to leave. It is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. My room was spacious and spotless with all the amenities I could need. The hotel is close to UCLA which has a wonderful campus. The staff organised my car hire, making the process painless. They also helped me to plan my trips to all the museums and art galler... Read more

First time at a W Hotel. I usually stay at The Westin. I plan on staying here more often. Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. I especially want to mention Oleg as providing excellent and friendly service and making my stay a wonderful experience.

Moses served us breakfast every morning of our stay. He remembered our names, remembered what we liked to order, and moved like a well trained choreographer. Made the stay especially pleasurable! Be forewarned that this hotel does not have free wifi. Otherwise, the stay was pleasurable and comfortable.

I am an SPG Gold member and this is the primary hotel I stay at when in town for business. I recently had an overnight trip and knew I was going to be checking in late. When I called to let them know I was going to be late, Brittany reconfirmed my room and even offered a suite upgrade as part of my status. However, when I finally did check in, I was notified my James and Brandon at the front desk the upgraded room had just been booked prior to making the room adjustment on my reservation. De... I came out here and ended up having to have surgery. Without being too descriptive, blood everywhere, bathroom, bed, etc... Olga Melendez, cleaned our suite everyday. She did an amazing job! Didn't even want to take a tip from me, we left her money in an envelope. She was just incredible.

I got a huge suite at this hotel for a weekend in LA. The suite was quite big, but the furnishings are definitely showing their age. The location isn't great but it's in Westwood / UCLA area so it is not too bad. The bathroom was not as nice as one would expect from a large suite.

Excellent W property near UCLA. Staff is outstanding, property is beautiful and well maintained. The STK on the property is quieter than the STK restaurants in other cities (normally closer to a nightclub), but the food is excellent and the bartender was engaging and helpful. The concierge desk was very helpful and ran out to get an iphone charger for me when I forgot to bring mine with me. The pool deck is very nice, though has a lot of families and little kids running around. The rooms are siz... Read more

We recently spent four nights at The W Hotel Beverly Hills, After a 6 hr drive and checking in, The first port of call would have been a drink in the bar, however we were advised the bar area was booked for a private function which we thought was a bit off, so ended walking down the road to a bar near bye , The next morning we were awoken around 7pm by a fork truck operating on a building site across the road , every time it reverses all we heard was a loud BEEP !! Not on the beaten path. The W was in a residential area and quite unassuming. It stood tall as if it was supposed to be there. Nice location actually and not far from the main streets. When we went, they were renovating the front desk. Despite the inconvenience of that, everything else was pleasant. The room was adequate and the bedding was all white. The cool California breeze allowed you to open windows and take in the air. The bar, pool, and dining facilities were comparable to others... Read more

Stayed here in June for business and really liked the quiet residential area that the hotel is located in. After traveling half way across the world and suffering bad jet lag it was a great place to relax and wind down after long days working. If you have time (and energy) it is close to UCLA so you have lots of places to eat and see within walking distant. You can tell the hotel building is relatively old, but the room was new and up to the highest standard - there was however no way of makin... Read more

The first thing you notice when you enter this hotel is the friendly and helpful staff. The front desk folks could not have been more professional or nice. They were simply great. Room is nice and spacious and the location is great. You feel like you are in a residential neighborhood but shops and restaurants are a short walk away. Thumbs up.

Everyone we interacted with during our stay at the W Westwood was very kind to us. When I called the front desk late the first night to tell them that we would be checking in late, he said that our room was ready for us and they were looking forward to our arrival. Once I finally got to the hotel, he seemed genuinely interested in my story of sitting on the tarmac at LAX for an hour, and told me to just relax now and he welcomed me graciously to the hotel. I stayed at the W for a birthday party. The hotel is well kept, and modern. There a Vegas style day club at the pool area. The rooms are comfortable. However, the queen beds are more like twin . I would not recommend for two. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

I've been staying at the W for the last several years. As I'm often in LA for work, it's become my home away from home. The rooms were recently redone and updated, and the relaxed vibe at this W is as appealing as ever. Plus the staff, notably Oleg and the front desk and Shin at the valet parking, are great at their jobs and always make me feel welcome. I'll be back - again and again.

Everything was PERFECT. the service, attention to details and excellent treatment were outstanding! This is a beautiful, hip hotel with a great vibe. This hotel is actually my favorite in the world. The reasons are as follows: -the location is fantastic in West Beverly Hille right next to UCLA's Westwood neighborhood. -the decor is so cool -the grounds with the landscaping and little water fall are lovely (even though the grounds are small, this is an example of how to make the most of it). -they have free yoga on Sunday mornings for part of the year by great teachers by the pool.. You can't tell from the street that this hotel is special except for the one unique clue...a staircase with a waterfall built-in. The rooms are clean and modern and the beds are comfy. Ours had a nice couch and TV viewing area. The backyard was the best surprise. There is a wonderful outdoor bar and restaurant alongside the pool. I recently stayed at the W Hotel in LA with a friend. We were recommended the hotel and it's in a great location. It's also pet friendly! The pool is a little small if you planned to stay with a larger group and at times the service there was a little slow. The room (we had a suite) was spacious and the beds very comfortable. I actually live in Los Angeles, but landed really late one night at LAX and my commute from my house is disgusting. The W in Westwood (or "West Beverly Hills as they are now calling it") is fantastic and a short 2 miles from my office. I arrived at midnight and realized that I had forgotten my razor in NYC. I asked the front desk if they had an amenities kit and they absolutely did. Huge help. Although the razor in the kit was like shaving with a weed wacker and a machete. Beat my grill ... Read more

The hotel is located in the heart of the charming Westwood area. Exceptional staff! They treat you like a valued customer. The hotel maintains the same "W" elite quality. Let me start by saying I don't really like LA - hate the car culture, sprawling mess of a city and "appearance is everything" attitude. I guess this is why this hotel was not for me. The lobby was always blaring club music with a "hipper than thou" aloof reception staff. There were also lots of changing colorful lights and a trippy elevator - however, the rooms definitely were showing wear. Scuffs and marks on the walls and below average cleanliness. I wish they would invest more in actual clea... Read more

Stayed one night. We arrived at 5pm after a 13 hour flight, with 2 small kinds, but our room was not ready. Got 2 drink vouchers as part of my spg gold membership so we could wait in their The Backyard restaurant. It was well after 6 PM and only after asking myself, we got our room. Amongst the W hotels this property is relatively quiet, residing in a relatively quiet neighborhood and has an aura of letting you feel home, somewhat being familiar and without any show-off factor. That is what I really like about this one. It is perfectly located to drive around the coastal area and offers everything a traveler, with or without family could wish for.

We loved our stay at the W - very hip and trendy while being incredibly welcoming. Service on every front exceeded expectations - any food or beverage experience was excellent. We had several wait staff and luggage people go above and beyond. Loved our stay here. Everything was really beautiful and well thought out. Lobby bar was a great time as well!
