We have used a day room at this venue a couple of times, en route to Los Angeles' airport. It is wonderfully convenient, with the hire car companies return points within walking distance, and a regular shuttle direct to the airport.  There are good and bad aspects but on the whole, good wins! The day rooms are at the rear of the site, connected via gloomy corridors and horrid colour scheme (unless you are a member of the Addams family!). However, this is balanced by small, very well maintaine... Read more

Over the past several years the LAX Travelodge has been my consistent Go-to choice for clean, comfortable, and affordable lodging. And I love the interesting historical connections this hotel has with Old Hollywood. That said there are two recent personal experiences that warrant comments and requests for refinement. 1. The hotel's day rate is a useful option for travelers needing a temporary respite either after or between airline flights. It would also be helpful to have this option avail... Read more

We rented out a room for a day stay before a late flight home. The room was old but clean and did what we need it to do. We were able to use the pool (which was icy cold) and have a shower and rearrange luggage. Was disspointed not to see a safe in the room. Very happy with the free shuttle service that got us to the airport with no hassles. Check in was quick and easy. Not far from all the car rental places. My husband was able to return the car rental and walk back to the hotel. Denny's ... Read more

I was concerned before booking, however I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel! The staff was great, the breakfast was a really nice spread and the room was nice. Very close to the airport and to all of the car rentals. Great Location! It was a little loud with airport noise, but it didn't bother me at all. The only thing that I really didn't like was the parking situation, very small spaces in a very small lot. A staff member did come outside to assist me however and i thought that was... Read more

If you are after 5 star luxury this is not the place. Though if convenience and reasonable priced accommodation for day use this is the place. Staff friendly, check in and out efficient. All though older, rooms are very clean and gardens well maintained. The Travelodge was exactly what we needed, and the only hotel that could confirm day use in the LAX area. We booked into this hotel for a few reasons; it offered a day rate (a discounted room rate between 9am & 8pm) and they have a free airport shuttle running every 30 minutes. The rooms were clean and spacious, just what we needed to get ready for a 14-hour flight later that evening. While it is close to the airport, you are not aware of any airplane noise.

This has become our 'go to' layover hotel going in and out of LAX. The shuttle service is good, the rooms are fine, Denny's is onsite and there's a pool and free breakfast. Certainly all we need and value for money. They always seem to be able to get us into a room no matter what time we arrive unlike some of their much more expensive competitors. And the gardens are refreshing to walk through.

This is a superb older motel style. The staff at the front desk are quick and offer lots of advice on taking public transit. The gardens are beautiful, did not get a chance to swim in the pool. Our room was in the very back and although the door had seen better years, the room was clean, had a/c and a good bed. There is a Denny's restaurant onsite as well. Stayed here because the reviews were good but I just don't get it. What a dump! Intense air freshener smell in the 1980's dingy room. NO HOT WATER! I had to heat water in the coffee maker to wash up...camping style!!! Ridiculous! Just an overall creepy place. And we're paying $175 a night when the sign outside says $99 rooms!! I do have to admit, they have good landscaping, though.

We have now stayed here several times, this time we were at the back of the hotel and it was quite noisy. Room was basic, bathroom small, refrigerator in room, Carpets in passageway needs replacing as torn near entry door which is a tripping hazard. Decor very dated. Location is extremely handy to buses. Breakfast OK but serving area is too small and gets very congested.

We needed a cheap hotel prior to an early LAX flight however when we arrived their was nowhere to park due to Denny's sharing the lot and when we did park a $11 price tag, I returned the hire car early instead of paying this. Our room was miles from the reception and was dated and small, the aircraft noise was loud but the ariconditioning even louder. Breakfast basic but edible and the once a half hour transfer left my pregnant wife standing all the way.

My stay was nice. Besides the fact that there was a baby in the next room. Apparently there was a sign on the door that indicated as such. I wasn't aware of the warning. I had to pay for parking which I felt was unfair because there was no separate parking for hotel guests and parking is shared with the public Denny's restaurant next door. I was pretty bummed when I spent a discounted $250 for a King Single room based upon reviews that showed this as a 3.5-star hotel. When I arrived (nice location, very close to LAX) and found this place. The place was clean "enough," the room was clean "enough," but only if calculating it as a two-star, not a three-star hotel. Two-star amenities - drippy shower, no bottles of shampoo, cracked sink, no elevator to the second floor, etc. You know, your basic two-star experience.

The travel lodge is by far one of the most comfortable and friendly hotels. A little on the pricey side, but they do offer promotions through Wyndham rewards if available, I have stayed there in April, May, June and July..... Some of these dates I stayed 2 nights, I have also done the extended Late check out which is very helpful when you have a layover or a evening flight. Also excellent feature to have a restaurant connected to the hotel. Thankyou so much for the enjoyable stays.

This hotel is perfectly fine for a stop over. They offer a day rate, breakfast is included, they have a free airport shuttle and the rooms are clean. This place is not fancy- but it hits all the wickets for international travel layovers. Pricing in reasonable (remember you are at LAX- not in the Midwest) and the staff is lovely. Bon voyage!

I booked at this hotel because my flight arrived late at LAX, and I was glad it was only one night. The hotel is quite noisy, but I expected it since it is located next to LAX. The hotel has several motel-type buildings where it seems that more money has been invested in the garden than in the rooms. Almost took a map to get to our room. The place is nice with a pool surrounded by nice gardens, but it ends there. Our room looked as it probably did in 1960 and very few investments was made in it.... Read more

We stayed for the day after arriving on an early flight, until we could check-in to our proper hotel later that day. Pro's: 1. It offers day rates at reasonable prices (from memory less than $US100. 2. It's close to the airport, there are free shuttles. If you have small kids, it gives you a place to crash after a long flight well before usual check-in times at other hotels. Con's: 1. This was a great place to stay as I was transiting in and out of LAX. I stayed in a poolside room recently, as well as a intriguing backside room when I came to LA (many rooms have subrooms with varied shapes). There are some interesting gardens and nooks to view everywhere, and are lit at night. The poolside rooms look onto the pool which forms the center area of the hotel complex. I stayed at the Travelogde LAX for 3 nights while in LA and my stay was pretty average. Decent, clean rooms but nothing fancy, not even a microwave in the room. Looks like and old hotel from the 80`s (bet it hasn´t been remodeled in 20 years at least). The breakfast is like the hotel, pretty average too... The A/C´s on both rooms we had was terrible, it wouldn´t even keep the room cool and they were really noisy, be on the lookout for this when staying in this hotel. Not a cheap hotel at all.... If your expectations are not too high you will probably be satisfied with this hotel. The room was a good size and had all the basic necessities. The free shuttle from and to the airport is a real benefit. Reception staff did their job but were not particularly friendly. Bit disappointed to find I couldn't get a room until 9am. Staff were really helpful and pleasant Pool and garden loo... Read more

Then once I got to the front desk to check-in - I found the lady there very abrupt. The room itself is very basic, but did the job of giving us a room to sleep in unti... Read more

Since I'm only at the hotel for 6 hours (but still paying US$90) that really cuts into my time there. Then while waiting to check-out, the return shuttle bus leaves 5 minutes early! No apology just 'you'll have to wait another half an hour for the next one'. I cheekily asked if the next one could leave a little early and got a stern 'no, it leaves ... Read more
