I was very disappointed by our stay at this property. The shuttle from LAX to the property did not show for 45 minutes or more, and after many calls to the hotel, we took a taxi there. This was incredible, since the hotel is about a 5 minute drive from the terminals. The hotel picked up the taxi fare, but this was frustrating, and the front desk made it clear the shuttle service has been outsourced! Fine but not a good excuse for guests. The front desk did pick up the taxi fare, after all o... Read more

If you have been to LA, then you know there's not much around the airport except hotels and rental car places. However, the Renaissance is a good spot. The hotel is modern and well maintained. They offer a complimentary shuttle to/from the airport if you need it. There's a nice restaurant/bar on site and the fitness room is excellent.

This is a great hotel. The staff are friendly and well organized. The Airport Shuttle was timely, the driver in uniform and courteous. Checking in was a breeze. The room is very nice with two exceptions: twelve cracked floor tiles in the bathroom and rust around the tub drain. Alternatively the carpeting was new, the wifi fast and reliable, the Air Conditioning quiet and effective. Bed and bedding superb. Hallway ice machines and soda vending machines need some work. I stayed at this Hotel on a 1-night layover and had a pleasant time - the beds were comfortable and the decorations lovely - I enjoyed the fruit infused water at reception and the nice sitting areas they had around. Out of all the hotels I have stayed at during stopovers at LAX, this place is hands down the best. It may cost you a little more but is well worth the price if you need a good nights rest prior to a long flight home or after a long flight. Free shuttle to and from the airport. It's very close by, about 15 mins away or under. It's a modern hotel with excellent customer service. On arrival we told the hotel about the horrible cab ride we had and so they upgraded our room. I've stayed here at my last two trips into LAX, arriving early evening after a 12-hour overseas flight, a one-night stopover before traveling on the next day. Both times, I've had to wait at least 45 minutes for the shuttle, while watching all the other shuttles go by repeatedly. Dead tired, on European time (i.e. way after my body's bedtime) after a long trip like that sitting on the curb waiting for 45 minutes is crap. However, I like the hotel compared to the other airport hotels I've staye... Read more

We went to the Renaissance again for just one night, and to eat at the great restaurant. The hotel is just beautiful and has everything you would expect from a Renaissance. The rooms are super clean and large. The pool is great and the hotel is quiet, which is amazing since the planes go right over head. We ate at the restaurant twice--lunch and dinner--why leave, the food is just the best. The service is wonderful and everything on the menu is ever so tasty. For lunch we had burgers and a flat ... Stayed here for 4 nights while I was in Los Angeles. Even though it was so close to the air port I couldn't hear the planes. A really nice hotel even though you have to pay for the parking the valet was always nice and would give me ideas on where to visit and go. Their pool was under some sort of maintenance but we were allowed to go to the Marriott next door and swim. The room was clean and had a fridge and all. This was a great hotel to stay at and I would go back anytime I visit la

Stayed here with my husband for a one night layover between two long flights. Check-in was friendly and smooth. Water was not provided so we bought two (very pricy!) bottles at the bar as there was no snack shop that sold items like these. Hallways and room not very pleasant. Felt like a decor from a scary eighties movie. Lobby too crowded and noisy for my liking, too much neon and nightlife going on, though others may of course find this appealing. The security is well trained and a good restaurant located at the lobby if your in the mood to just hang out on property. We landed after a 48min flight from Vegas to LAX and it took longer to get to the hotel. There was no shuttle from LAX for about an hour. We landed at 22:40 and got to Hotel at 00:05 (after eventually having to get a cab). Two calls to the hotel and they eventually told us to take a taxi. The taxi driver was also not happy. When we feedback on check-in, it generally was played down but this should be a key thing for a hotel to get right. The $20 was refunded and they made a point saying that the... Read more

Nice hotel, good service, comfy beds, functional bathroom. Nothing less, nothing more. Good for a short stay and if needing to be at the airport early. Everything was clean, size of room was okay, bathroom was small for four people.

I stay in LAX airport hotels 2-3 times a year and have done for over a decade. I fly in from the UK, take an airport shuttle to the hotel, go to bed early (as I'm on UK time); wake up early (around 1.00 am) and work thru the LA night before eating breakfast, and then heading back to the airport to take public transport into the Valley to visit family. I don't like wasting money so I try to choose carefully. This was a bad choice. I picked it because of its proximity to the airport: I've had a co... Read more

I've stayed at the Renaissance by LAX more than a dozen times over the past ten years and it's always treated me very well. Excellent staff from the front desk, to housekeeping, valet parking, Concierge Lounge and Bar/Restaurant. My favorite LA place to stay when in town and working near the airport.

I had a quick one night stay. The lounge was very nice with good options and good service. The room was clean and there were no issues. The front desk was helpful and friendly as well. I will come back to this location when the price is right based on the corp system I must use to book travel.

We came into town to move my son into his college dorm. I made the booking at the last minute on a discount booking site. I was greeted immediately by kind and courteous valet and hotel staff ready to get my bags and park my car. I preferred to self park, so I went to the front desk to check in. Upon crossing the threshold into the lobby, I caught the a faint, but delightful fragrance that filled the building. I assumed it was part of the ventilation system, which created a spa like feeling at ... Read more

STARWOOD: GOLD MARRIOTT: GOLD HILTON: SILVER MELIA: SILVER I had planned one day in L.A. to assist with the Bernie Sanders campaign and the vote, but due to the mockery the DNC turned our election into, I instead entertained my passion of spotting planes at the second best airport in the world for that (After Heathrow). I chose to stay at the Renaissance as spotters before me stated it had a good location with shuttle service to get back and forth when I arrived and needed to leave. The views w... Read more

The hotel is very nice but the prices are pretty steep. Parking is $35 a night. We had breakfast at the hotel the food was very good. The service was very good too. The beds are very comfortable. The internet is an extra charge.

Beautiful hotel that's very close to LAX. Staff is well-trainined and very professional. Rooms are very clean, spacious and nicely appointed. Breakfast, snacks and deserts on the 11th floor lounge is great. A really good value!

We needed to be in the LA area for only two days and chose to stay near LAX, this hotel fit the bill. The Renaissance is a known quantity/quality hotel and we were not disappointed, though not wowed either. The staff: all of them, Front Desk, Concierge and Housekeeping, are great; the rooms are clean and the hotel is kept in good repair, especially for a site which gets a lot of use being so close to the airport. It is rather expensive, and the overnight parking fee is ridiculous; they are not a... Read more

Enjoyed our stay. Impressed by very helpful staff and service. Also the healthy choices at the Bistro. Easy access to public transportation to get to the shopping areas. Enjoyed the ride on the Ocean Express shuttle which runs every 15 minutes. One can get to the beach , restaurants and various shopping areas through out the day .
