This hotel isn't for everyone...if you're the type of person who appreciates culture, experience, a genuinely warm integration- you will enjoy the Petit Hermitage. My favorite thing about the hotel is the feeling of "coming home" and being relaxed. You can feel that the vibe here is very community driven and locals frequent the hotel's restaurants/ pool area...always a good sign. The food is thoughtful, health minded & delicious! The staff go out go their way to make you feel good in their home... Read more

A whimsical & magical place you just don't want to leave the premises! On top it's location is just the best nestled between the Sunset strip and the boho-chic of Melrose. A pure delight, I've been going back since the early days 7 yrs ago and Petit Ermitage always seem to preserve it's original charm ū???ū???

Were recommended to stay in Petit Ermitage for business and the hotel's fits perfectly in its vibrant, hip and culturally unique location. Felt a sense of aristocracy upon entering the hotel which reminiscent a hidden luxurious villa with a touch of playfulness and humor. Definitely fits the lifestyle wthat befitting and defines Hollywood. The junior suite is relatively spacious with a nice seating area for your guests and good ranges of minibar selections which can't keep your hands off. D... Read more

LA never ceases to amaze and once you move away from the classic tourist traps, you find places like the Petit Ermitage that help renew your love for the city. Set on a residential street in West Hollywood covered in green vines, the unsuspecting drive right by this little gem. Parking is extremely restricted and one must Valet or take a taxi/Uber to arrive at the location. Valet can run $15.00/day but if you receive validation from the restaurant (as I did for my event) it runs $5.00 - $10.0... Read more

I shouldn't share this, for I want to keep this gem all for myself...soooo SHH. be sure to grab a home baked cookie when you check out!!! although you may never want to leave.

I'm a fan of this beautiful property in a lovely neighborhood. Our rooms were just perfect: the decor and amenities are a cut above many hotels, and it was just enough space. We had come off a long drive and our reception was warm and welcoming and the two-headed crocodile bench in the lobby kept my three year old amused during check in! Also, I'm not sure whether it was by design, but there was a gorgeous book of fairy tales in my room which we loved and each room had a little tin circus e... Read more

This hotel is a specialized hotel for specialized personalities. Reading prior reviews.. I went on the base of my gut instinct because I love old school antique decor and warm vibe that the pics gave off... If you want modern luxury with modernistic appeal this is not the place for you! It's antique decor with oddball interior design brings out creativity. Definitely will come back!! Service was great...people very friendly!! Jack was my Main man at concierge. Petit Ermitage might not look like much from the outside: It is hidden among the other apartment complexes in the area... Your cab driver might not even be able to find it - or recognize the small street it is on. But it is these qualities that make this place unique. The lobby is small and functional. Doesn't matter though- eat one of their fresh baked cookies and you won't mind the tiny space. In fact, you start to realize that the space and the manageable feel of these place are all part of... As per usual with a hectic trip to Los Angeles, my company booked me in Manhattan Beach for memorial day weekend. After the first night I just felt so out of place. I reached out to the General Manager Nicolas Black to see if he could possibly squeeze me in at Petit. They truly move mountains for you there. 2 hours later I was checked in, glass of red wine in hand, nestled by the pool feeling quite loved and comforted at my home away from home the ever wondrous Petit Ermitage. Just lovely!

Fabulous boutique hotel tucked away in a residential area just a hop and a slip away from Santa Monica Blvd and Sunset Blvd. Great rooftop pool with a lounge area and casual music that transports you back to another era. Food service is a bit slow because I have a feeling the kitchen is downstairs. But it's well worth it. The rooms are nicely appointed and give you the feeling that you're in a home away from home. Very friendly and helpful staff. Security is excellent.

This was my second stay at Petit Ermitage and I loved it even more this time around. The staff help to make this a truly special place, no request goes unanswered. The rooftop garden is truly a tranquil setting nestled in heart of vibrant West Hollywood. Definitely dine at the rooftop garden, breakfast was my favorite, the humming birds buzzing...purely relaxing.

Apart from perfect service, very stylish and unique rooms and awesome location this hotel has a real strong positive & creative atmosphere. The roof terrace is just a...magic place. Congratulations to every single choice you made here - the furniture, the lighting and the pool, the beautiful planting, the stunning view over hollywood and of course your fabulous music playlist. It all ads up to a wonderful and exceptional experience. Thank you very much for that <3 <3

Like no other hotel. Staying at Petite Ermitage is pure indulgence and escapism. Everything from the home-baked cookies at reception, to the hummingbirds in the rooftop garden. The view is across LA, and of the billoards on Sunset, and yet this hotel feels so private and tranquil.

I was drawn to Petit Ermitage from its website and recommendations from colleagues for a business trip to LA. I had no idea what to expect, but from the moment I arrived I felt I had entered a whole new world of excitement, relaxation, and peace. You could tell the staff wanted you to feel your best at every moment, and no request ever seemed burdensome. First off, i never knew this amazing place existed, and I'm a lifelong LA resident. That said it's pretty hard to wow me hotel wise. A friend chose this hotel, and we booked a few rooms and stayed for almost 2 weeks, extending as we went. We could have stayed anywhere, but this isn't anywhere this is extraordinary. The rooms are great, but the location and the roof are better. Located off the main path of most hotels this gem is a block north of Santa Monica Blvd, and a block west of San Vicen... Read more

Hidden on a corner of West Hollywood near my favorite Japanese restaurant (Ajisai) and the best of gay male party culture, with Pacific Design Center and Melrose shops nearby, this small boutique hotel offers quiet and classy digs for a reasonable price. Rooms have a sitting area, some with small utilitarian kitchen, mini bar and tv, with comfy bedding and bathroom amenities include a two-spouted shower, for that european feeling in west hollywood. Super character , atmosphere, service, the pool and restaurant are top class. There's a nice spot on the rooftop by the fire to see the lights of Hollywood. I stayed in May 2016 with my boyfriend and would stay here again over SLS or the Mondrian. Great location, funky bohemian decor and cool vibe. Love the outdoor dining and homemade cookies at check in. Rooms are reasonably priced but food/drinks are pretty outrageous. Just a stone's throw from the lively epicenter of West Hollywood, tucked away on a quiet street, sits the most most charming, sexy and delightful hotel I have ever been to. The magic is in the details - Erte floor numbers (my favorite artist!), a garden growing wild, fur blankets for cool nights by the rooftop pool and the Vaudeville inspired decor is a feast for the eyes. This hotel is one of the best I've ever experienced. Everything match the expectations a customer can have about this place. The food served is amazing and the terrace on the roof is awesome. From having a cocktail before dinner to have a chill day by the pool this hotel is the way to go. The suites then are extremely comfortable and wide enough. Our room was very comfortable... especially the bed. My goodness. We ended up looking up the brand of sheets they have because we were so impressed.
