This hotel isn't for everyone...if you're the type of person who appreciates culture, experience, a genuinely warm integration- you will enjoy the Petit Hermitage. My favorite thing about the hotel is the feeling of "coming home" and being relaxed. You can feel that the vibe here is very community driven and locals frequent the hotel's restaurants/ pool area...always a good sign. The food is thoughtful, health minded & delicious! The staff go out go their way to make you feel good in their home... Read more

A pure delight, I've been going back since the early days 7 yrs ago and Petit Ermitage always seem to preserve it's original charm ū???ū???

LA never ceases to amaze and once you move away from the classic tourist traps, you find places like the Petit Ermitage that help renew your love for the city. Set on a residential street in West Hollywood covered in green vines, the unsuspecting drive right by this little gem. Parking is extremely restricted and one must Valet or take a taxi/Uber to arrive at the location. Valet can run $15.00/day but if you receive validation from the restaurant (as I did for my event) it runs $5.00 - $10.0... Read more

I'm a fan of this beautiful property in a lovely neighborhood. Our rooms were just perfect: the decor and amenities are a cut above many hotels, and it was just enough space. We had come off a long drive and our reception was warm and welcoming and the two-headed crocodile bench in the lobby kept my three year old amused during check in! Also, I'm not sure whether it was by design, but there was a gorgeous book of fairy tales in my room which we loved and each room had a little tin circus e... Read more

Petit Ermitage might not look like much from the outside: It is hidden among the other apartment complexes in the area... Your cab driver might not even be able to find it - or recognize the small street it is on. But it is these qualities that make this place unique. The lobby is small and functional. Doesn't matter though- eat one of their fresh baked cookies and you won't mind the tiny space. In fact, you start to realize that the space and the manageable feel of these place are all part of... As per usual with a hectic trip to Los Angeles, my company booked me in Manhattan Beach for memorial day weekend. After the first night I just felt so out of place. I reached out to the General Manager Nicolas Black to see if he could possibly squeeze me in at Petit. They truly move mountains for you there. 2 hours later I was checked in, glass of red wine in hand, nestled by the pool feeling quite loved and comforted at my home away from home the ever wondrous Petit Ermitage. Just lovely!

Fabulous boutique hotel tucked away in a residential area just a hop and a slip away from Santa Monica Blvd and Sunset Blvd. Great rooftop pool with a lounge area and casual music that transports you back to another era. Food service is a bit slow because I have a feeling the kitchen is downstairs. But it's well worth it. The rooms are nicely appointed and give you the feeling that you're in a home away from home. Very friendly and helpful staff. Security is excellent.

I chose to stay at this hotel for personal holiday and wanted to stay in West Hollywood as the party we were going to was close by. I loved it, was in a small and quiet street. The decor was interesting and it made me look at each and every one of them, I like my senses to be entertained. The bedroom was comfortable and cosy and the open air restaurant on the top floor, open only to hotel guests, served great food. It was also comfortable and not crowded. I'd go back here if I wanted to stay ... Read more

I was initially hesitant to stay here after reading some of the reviews citing noise and poor service. But my husband and I decided to take a chance and we are so happy we did. This exquisite boutique hotel is located on a quiet residential street in West Hollywood, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Check in was easy and the front desk staff (all the staff, really) consistently went above and beyond in meeting our needs. The decor is eclectic and charming, with whimsical touche... Read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I have to go to West Hollywood all the time for work and this has become my default place to stay. I don't love all the art but I always feel exceedingly comfortable and I love going up to work on the roof by the twenty-four hour salt water pool. It's expensive but worth it.

I stayed here for three nights while on a business trip. The hotel is situated in a nice neighborhood on a quiet residential street. For Los Angeles, this is a prize! The hotel staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the service can be spotty, slow, or nonexistent. We ate at the rooftop restaurant, where it took over an hour to get our food. For another meal, room service LOST our order, leaving my family starving late at night (they were ready to go to sleep, and didn't want to deal with the... Read more

Excellent location and exquisite interior design. Curated in every detail from the choice of the items in the rooms, Le labo bathroom amenities and the scented candles and hand soap, the wine and gourmet truffle pop corns. The roof is beautiful and the atmosphere is simply unique. The pool is very reserved and ideal for private events. Lovely the monday evening Cinema Paradiso where they do screenings on the roof by the fireplace. It's just all so well curated and special. I truly suggest a visi... Read more

This is probably the most unique and hip place we have ever stayed at. The rooftop views are stunning...the city, the Beverly Hills. We are walkers and this is a very safe area with many restaurants but the rooftop restaurant and bar make it so you don't want to leave anyway! Rooftop salt water heated pool is amazing. Many Hollywood types seem to eat and drink here, but the prices are not out of line at all. Rooms and common areas are Bohemian chic and extremely cool. Lots of space in our rooms ... Read more

Bad start when bellboy broke a wheel off one of our suitcases but hotel in a lovely quiet location - they have the most fabulous pool/roof terrace area with lounges and furry rugs for night time -beautifully lit and with separate cabanas for groups. Absolutely gorgeous roof terrace restaurant - food to die for. Close to The Grove - large shopping outlet with restaurants. Overall good experience

This was a good location but over priced. The rooms are small and it looked like it was an old holiday inn covered up. The restaurant was ok..... I wouldn't stay here again for what you get for your money

The most magical place in Los Angeles. If you're stuffy or don't like fun, go somewhere else. The pool on the roof has such a great atmosphere, and they have entertainment most evenings. Oh, and then there's the art collection, which is better than some museums I've visited. Truly the best hotel in Los Angeles, and possibly the planet.

Petit Ermitage is a sanctuary of beautify and serenity and also has one of the sexiest vibes of any place (hotel or otherwise) in LA. The rooftop pool and patio areas transport you to another world, but don't worry, you're still in the most central WeHo location in real life. I'd recommend staying here for the great dining options and friendly service as well. All in All this place is incredible and it's where I send all my out-of-town friends to stay when they're here to visit. Enjoy!!!

Well this place is certainly a bit different!!! On arrival the only clue as to who was going to check us in was that they were at least behind a welcome desk, no staff uniform or badges are worn here. At least the valet staff had walkie talkies to identify themselves, otherwise having the car door opened by a complete stranger in LA after a long drive might not have been quote so relaxed! Ok, about a decade ago steampunk was new and hip and the industrial-meets-whimsy was fun, unusual and delightfully quirky. BUT--that was a decade ago and the birdcages, toys, bric-a-brac and pillows that crowd the rooms are dusty, worn and broken. The smell of mildew was so strong in the two room suite we booked, we fled and took a downgraded room (for which we did not get a refund). The location is fine and close to a wide range of restaurants. The overall appearance for me, is that the hotel room needs an update. Our bed was tired and the room was dark in its color range.
