We stayed here for 3 nights. We got into LA early in the morning so we decided that we would book the room the night before so that we could have a sleep after our 14hour flight. Initially there was some confusion as we were told we couldn‚??t check in yet, but once they realised we had a booking from the night before we got straight into our room. The beds are very comfy with plenty of pillows, the rooms are air-conditioned so nice and cool, and there are curtains with proper block out, so even... Read more

We stayed at the Miyako for three nights including New Year's Eve and the activities of New Year's day. Staying in the middle of Little Tokyo was fun. People we met were nice and very polite. Lots of restaurants in the area at very reasonable prices. Convenient to the Gold Line and, for us, easy access to the Rose Parade. Easy driving access to other parts of the City. Hotel is very quiet at night. Reasonable pricing. Not an upscale area but we felt secure exploring.

My daughter loves to explore and shop in LA's Little Tokyo. The Miyako Hotel is located right in the heart of Little Tokyo so the location was perfect for us. 1/2 block to the Japanese Village and 1 block to the Japanese American Museum. Hotel is clean and updated. Lots of DirectTV channels on the flat screen TV. Staff was friendly. Parking is $28 which is reasonable for downtown LA. In the room they have an alarm clock with built in USB ports and AC outlets. We needed every one for our electro... Read more

I arrived around 8am after flying all nite, no room was available so I stored my bags & met my son for breakfast near USC. Upon returning around noon I was able to check in & proceeded to my room where I found a note saying the hot water wouldn't be available until 3pm (could have told me at front desk). I so wanted a hot shower! When I called front desk, a different person than the rather curt man who checked me in was very apologetic. My brother arrived & we began a fun filled 4 day excursion.... Everyone I met that worked here was so lovely. It's a shame they are so hard to get in touch and communicate with online. The rooms are ok, although there are no lights in the ceiling which is a poor start. Everything seemed to work, it was always clean, questions and queries answered timely. I probably won't stay again - I feel for the price ($247 a night) I could get more for my money and a better location. Nothing significantly wrong but nothing outstanding either. Except maybe the Japanese... Read more

Good service. Room was spacious, good enough for us as we were only there for a couple of days. Only a good location if you were wanting to do anything within Los Angeles CBD, any other main tourist attractions are not close at all aside from Hollywood. The area is not too safe when walking out a few blocks, especially at night, so we didn't like the location too much.

The hotel has a nice feel to it and tastefully decorated. The room was equally the same but better. Bed was comfortable in a nice roomy space. The cafe was open when we needed it to be. Location of hotel in Japanese historical area was a bonus. So many good places to eat. Also, it is located one block from the metro. Loved our stay.

This is a charming hotel in the middle of Little Tokyo. the staff is always helpful. They make me feel at home every time I stay here. I would highly recommend the hotel restaurant, Tamon. It is a quiet oasis in a busy city. The Bento Box is the best I have ever tasted in my travels! I will continue to chose this hotel first whenever I travel to LA!

Great and modern hotel, with excellent multilingual staff, good breakfast buffet and very comfortable rooms. Hotels offer good shuttle service to airport, beach and nearby shopping mall. Old Torrance is nearby for a nice walk. Their fitness facility is super small, better of going out for a run.

One night in LA for Opera (Ahknaten.... very good) and looked for a moderately priced hotel not too far from Chandler Pavilion. Miyako was less expensive than the other similar hotels in the area. Hotel is in decent shape, soft furnishing are older and looking tired. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Kind of fun to be in the heart of Little Tokyo. Comfortable bed, fair pillows
