Awesome hotel! Rooms clean and beautiful. Staff so incredibly friendly and so helpful. The hotel is situated int he heart of Little Tokyo. Great little restaurants within seconds of the hotel. Safe location. You can get to Chinatown, Olvera Street, museums, and many other points of interest in Los Angeles. I went down to L.A. for Federal Jury Duty and this hotel and its location were the highlight of my stay. So glad I chose this hotel for my stay. The bidat was awesome!!! LOL!

We stayed at the Miyako for 2 nights and im just glad we only stayed that long. The hotel lobby and staff are fantastic we could not fault them. Lovely staff helpful and friendly they were about the best bit about this hotel. The area itself did not feel nice had a dodgy feel to it and we were harassed by homeless people the moment we stepped outside. The room was ok, it did not feel 100% clean was a little dark and the bathroom certainly left a lot to be desired- barely any hot water and water ... Read more

Had a very unpleasant experience with the shuttle driver on arriving at the hotel & he followed me into reception yelling & arguing. The receptionist dealt with him beautifully & afterwards they couldn't do enough to make me feel welcome. The room was great and equipped with everything you would need, although if you don't like green tea, go to the supermarket in the Plaza next door & equip yourself. Bed was comfortable, shower was brilliant with a very clever shower curtain so the bathroom did... Read more

I stayed in this hotel about ten years ago, I noticed that they updated the lobby, it is now cleaner and has a small cafe, a nice touch. Location wise, the hotel is very nice. As you may know, Little Tokyo is very lively and fun place to hang out for food and drinks. There are so many dining options within the hotel's vicinity. The room provides decent view, rooms are larger than the other hotels, staff are friendly and helpful. BUT, the room definitely exhibits certain history. Especially the... Read more

I'll admit my top priority in a hotel room is being able to get a good night's sleep with minimal noise from all sources. This place amazingly fit the bill for me and I am very particular! The hotel nicely accommodated my request for a room in the back of the hotel away from the street (which I had heard from other reviewers might deliver frequent sirens/emergency vehicles throughout the night). There was a little bit of music wafting up to my 9th floor room from the street performers in Litt... Read more

I have visited the hotel beginning of March. It was conveniently located and it was chosen thanks to its good value for money relation. The hotel met my expectations and people working there were professional. Just across the street there are a few descent restaurants and within walking distance many things to see.

My room was non-smoking but smelled like an ashtray. The shower was broken, and when I dealt with the maintenance man about it, he was very courteous. The female at the front desk was not as polite. She did not listen to me (or seem to believe what I was saying about the shower being broken). I would really have to be in a pinch to stay here again.

I visited the Miyako as the pickup location for the start of a Contiki tour. I didn't actually stay here but when I walked into the lobby I wish I had. You could tell that they take pride in their business by the way it was designed. Despite the fact that I wasn't a passing, guest the front desk staff were very accommodating. I could only imagine how they treat their guests. Next time I'm in LA I will definitely be booking my stay here.

The hotel is in a great location, with a decent rate and is a very nice place. Spent two night here in June and would definitely stay here again. Room was very clean and quiet. You can walk to several places in the downtown area

Had everything we wanted! I used there valet parking for the weekend. Good rate for parking in LA. Easy to come and go. Overall, Miyako was a friendly place to stay. It was clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay near Downtown Los Angeles.

I booked a supposedly renovated room with the commode washlet. I was disappointed that my room looked dated and the bathroom grout had a lot of mold especially by the tub. I told the front desk about this and housekeeping cleaned the bathroom better although some mold still remained. The quality of housekeeping was below what I expected from a Japanese-named hotel. The staff was friendly though. Hotel was handy to Little Tokyo shops and a very popular ramen restaurant was just across.

My wife and I spent 2 nights in this hotel, which is very good. Reception was fast and friendly, as was all staff we dealt with. Our room had coffee-making facilities plus small fridge. Breakfast is in the restaurant on the 2nd floor or smaller choice in the cafĂ© on the ground floor. We didnâ??t have breakfast in either the restaurant or cafĂ©, but did have dinner in the restaurant one night which was very good. Wi fi is also free, and was a reasonable speed, with its availability to multiple... Read more

Hi there, The hotel location is good and close to public transportation, the staff and service are very nice, rooms are clean and well arranged. Only the AC was a problem, it's old system and having very noisy fan. The management should take action to install a new machines. Thanks Arwa

I stayed here for 2 nights in July, and found the staff were super friendly, and were very helpful with storing my bags and giving me directions on how to use the metro. I had some issues with vending machine that sells washing powder and the staff were fantastic and took care of it without any drama. Rooms are a good size, very clean and comfortable. Wifi is excellent and free.

We came to town for one night to see Adele at Staples Center and wanted to stay somewhere we had never stayed and affordable. During previous trips to Downtown we have stayed at The Ritz, The Standard, The Omni and The Ace. All four of those hotels are awesome in their own right, but aren't exactly affordable. I wanted a decent room between $2-300 per night that didn't have $50 per night parking. I found Miyako on Hotels.com and our stay was a true delight. When you pull into valet they immediat... I stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a pre hotel stay ahead of my Contiki Tour starting in June 2016. I arrived at the hotel late after flying from London to LAX airport and pretty much just wanted to sleep as soon as I got to the hotel! Check in was smooth and I was given my keys straight away, without any hiccups. As part of my Contiki booking I was in a twin share room and hadn't yet met my roomie, but there was no problem with obtaining an additional key and I was assisted in the ... Read more

Nice hotel located in Little Tokyo Area in LA. The check in was smooth and the rooms were bigger than I thought it would be. The room and bathroom was clean and looked good. There are plenty of restaurants near by. There is also a parking lot you can park your car without using the hotel's valet service. The only complaint was there were some road noise due to some construction on the street outside the hotel (out of the hotel's control). The complementary breakfast provided is a croissant, yogu... The Miyako Hotel is a clean, modern hotel in a great location for anyone travelling on Amtrak or wanting to take the $9 Fly Away bus to LAX from Union Station. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Little Tokyo station on the Gold Line, twelve minutes walk from Civic Center / Grand Park on the Red Line (to Hollywood) and an easy cab ride (or fifteen minute walk) from Union Station. I started a tour at this hotel and stayed for 4 nights. I found some of the staff weren't helpful at all and the cafe staff were extremely rude. The hotel its self is really nice, clean and comfortable. If you're a young female by yourself I'd suggest not going out in this area at night I felt unsafe during the day as this hotel isn't far from Skid Row so lots of homeless people around just be aware of who is around you. I probably wouldn't stay again based on location.

So, it's not in the middle of the tourist attractions, and it was built more than a couple of decades ago. If these things are important to you, then you should stay elsewhere. But I had an ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL experience, so here it goes. First, it is in Little Tokyo, where you will enjoy a range of cultural experiences involving Japan. There are low-end, mid-range to higher-end Japanese restaurants, bakeries, large Japanese grocery stores, comic book stores, beauty supply stores, souveni... Read more

I took my daughter to Little Tokyo for her 21st birthday. We stayed here and the location was absolutely perfect for walking and visiting everything in the area! You were close to all the Little Tokyo shopping centers, Temples, Gardens, Restaurants, etc. You could easily walk around the entire area safely (just make sure you use common sense). The bar inside the hotel was great, we did not eat at the restaurant but that was because we tried the little places around town. The staff was won... Read more

I am always on the hunt for a hotel stay in LA around the $200.00 with tax price point. This place filled the bill. Easy and pleasant check in, clean comfortable room, and quiet. I would stay here again without hesitation. Also, loved the Japanese Village area for shopping.

There are numerous very good Japanese restaurants within walking distance of the hotel along with 2 bakeries. Be prepared to stand in line for some of the better restaurants. The hotel is within walking distance of the Broad, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, MOCA, Union Station and a very short walk to the Light Rail Station. As for the hotel, the service is fine and the room was quite large and comfortable. The only negatives were: the internet kept going on and off throughout our 4-day stay, t... Read more
