This was our second time staying at this property, and once again we had a flawless experience: we booked a big (700sf!) beautiful Executive Suite, complete with four-poster bed, sitting area, balcony overlooking the beautiful pool, and one of the most gorgeous marble bathrooms complete with separate tub and glass shower. Small and thoughtful details are everywhere and the staff (bellhop, front desk, valet, restaurant servers) are all top notch and obviously take pride in providing superior serv... Read more

Rooms are large and grounds are lovely . The surprises though are not pleasant. There are two physical levels to the hotel. I was In the upper one and that's as yet not well-organized. You're dependent on a van to take you to the lower level with the restaurant. And that's iffy. You can also walk down which is energizing and take the van back up. Staff are wonderful and were apologetic for inconvenience. An elevator and a staffed desk in the upper level are planned as they recognize the pro... Read more

We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel - as we were in LA for a wedding. EVERYONE was cordial and friendly. We were able to hire a driver from the hotel - Sean - who was very personable and timely - we never had to wait for him. He took us all over - which was great - because we did not want to rent a car and drive in LA. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. We had breakfast in a café on the first floor - our waiter made us feel like royalty - without being too coy - and the foo... Read more

The fitness center was under construction. There were three machines outdoors, which was very nice for a change. The heated pool was very pretty and the water was warm. The rooms are old and somewhat dingy, and the bathtub faucet could not be turned on without the shower also spraying water.

I booked the Luxe Sunset as a home base during surgery at nearby UCLA. While I only enjoyed the facility for two nights, my husband and mother were there for seven. They could not say enough nice things about the hotel, especially the caring and attentive staff. The staff makes this hotel great. From beginning to end EVERYONE is friendly, courteous and best of all, truly helpful. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The bathroom shower was amazing. Room and amenities were superb but I am writing this review about the people I encountered during a 3 week stay at the hotel. Starting with the valet manager Enrique and one of his valets Cynthia in particular made me feel so welcome upon arriving and leaving the hotel every day. Big smiles and personalized service from both. Hudith and Jennifer at the front desk were also fantastic and were very hospitable ever time they saw me. Thank you for the great stay!!

A 6 day stay in L.A. can be a noisy affair but not at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard. It is so peaceful that you forget that you are close to major freeways. Very good, large and clean rooms. Comfy beds and attentive but discreet staff makes this a "must visit again" hotel

We stayed at the Luxe for 4 days. The rooms were very large, super comfortable and well appointed. The staff, including the front desk and maid service was great. Enrique and his valet staff were extremely attentive and gracious. They made sure that we had appropriate transportation, shuttle or taxi, to get us back and forth to the UCLA campus for the events on time. One evening the dining service was very slow, however, the other dinners, lunch and brunch were great with quick service. Overall,... Read more

It was already the second time that I stayed at the hotel with my partner. We travel regularly to LA to celebrate our anniversary. The Luxe has convinced us with its homie yet elegant interior design. This year it even had a tablet, from which we ordered room service and contacted reception. Very convenient! I would propose to add pictures to the room menu, in order to make it even more appealing to us guests. The rooms were exceptionally tidy and dust free and we always had refreshed amenitie... The hotel is located just off the 405 in the Brentwood area, tucked back off the road. The first level of the hotel houses the reception area, bar & restaurant. The second building is perched further up the mountain with rooms as well as the pool and the exercise room which was not available for use during our stay. The hotel provided van service to take you to the upper level-walking is not really an option as there is no sidewalk and not safe. The room was spacious and adequate but the hallway... Read more

Perfect secluded position whilst being central to the airport and freeway. Very stylish decor - probably best suited to business or adults rather than families. All staff extremely helpful making me feel at home instantly. This is a wonderful boutique hotel and I will be returning - particularly if I need easy access to and from the airport.

I was really looking forward to a lushly landscaped hotel as shown on the website, but this hotel is just a bit above average with nothing special about the grounds. The walls in the rooms are thin and I could hear the next door neighbor coughing all night! Rooms are large and spacious with ample mirrors and spaces to spread out and get ready. Water pressure in the sink was super weak. The customer service from everyone was top notch...everyone is at your beck and call and ready to help in a... Read more

Very nice and spacious room with the hotel in a beautiful resort setting. Services staff were all very attentive and helpful. The only grips are: (1) On the day of our check out, they started gardening work with motor blowing etc. at 8am. (2) The breakfast options in the restaurant were limited, and the food could be better. Through there are tons of great breakfast venues around Brentwood so no big deal. We'll definitely go back again next time.

Came to LA to celebrate a friend's dirty 30. Decided to book the Vista suites and I am glad I did. We were able to have a little cocktail party in the room prior to hitting the big city. Our room was extremely spacious and very zen-like. Our balcony was private and we had an amazing view of LA. The only downside was being a little far from downtown. Great location right off the 405, but having to deal with the traffic on Sunset is kind of tedious. One more thing was the step getting in and out o... Read more

Check in was convenient and friendly, but the. We were placed in a separate building up the hill. This building did not have a functioning elevator so we carried four suitcases up the stairs. If we needed something, we had to get in the car and drive to the main building. The worst thing is there was a barking dog all night and we called the front desk several times and they did nothing about it.

I enjoyed my visit to the Luxe Hotel on Sunset Blvd. I stayed there for 3 nights for a business meeting at UCLA. It is close to the campus but not really within walking distance. There really is not a lot of things close by. I did walk to the Bel Air area and had a nice dinner at a restaurant called the "Bel Air". My room was very spacious. Had lots of nice little extras. Our visit this weekend to the Luxe did not start well. The room we were originally assigned had a very chemical smell which badly effected my wife. She spoke to a woman at the front desk who was not that helpful. She showed my wife 2 rooms, but both of them had a similar smell and were right next to construction. We were then handled by Chris at the front desk who proceeded to show us another room. This one also smelled but they aired it out and provided us a fan. Unfortunately, the hallwa... Read more

Beware first floor rooms 118 and 120; too close to the car park. Nice pool but you have to walk up the hill to get to it. Workout equipment is outdoors near the pool. Treadmill, stationary bike, weight machines under a canopy. Not much. Food is good but expensive, service good, room cleaning can be slow.

If you're visiting LA or Santa Monica this is a great place to stay. Just off Sunset Boulevard. We've stayed here a few times when visiting the area. They have a variety of spacious rooms or suites. The restaurant is very good too. They have a lovely pool where you can chill out after sight seeing or shopping. The hotel is in 2 parts & the pool is up the hill - they will drive you from reception if you need this as the hills quite steep. Very helpful & friendly staff. We'll be back hopefully!

The Luxe is an absolute gem on the Sunset Strip! Just west of Hollywood, it is the ideal location to get away from the city and relax. After running around the city you need a place to unwind and this is it. The pool, the staff, the hotel it's self, all just fabulous!!!!

I just spent 2 nights at the Luxe on Sunset. Fantastic location. I had an executive king in the top building. The room was great! Not sure I could go back to their basic room now. I was very close to the pool. The freakishly steep walk from the main building to the top building was actually kind of fun and a good source of exercise. Of course, they would drive you but I did the walk twice a day at least. The staff seemed quite attentive and kind although I really didn't make any requests... Read more

We had a lovely stay. While convenient to a highway and major road, we never heard a noise in the hotel -- it was our little oasis. My wife and daughters were impressed with the ambiance -- much nicer than a Courtyard or the like for only a little extra. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained and the staff was courteous and friendly. And as the pictures show, the pool area is lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is well located on Sunset for all the local amenities. Traffic is always a problem in LA so despite this location, you still need to allow plenty of time if going anywhere. The rooms are well proportioned and fitted our family of 5 (including 2 teenagers) comfortably with a rollaway. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished in a modern style. The beds are only doubles, but you could easily fit queen or king in these large rooms - it's a shame they don't have this option. You have la... Read more
