This is not a destination hotel, However considering the 7 day free parking with great underground parking, 24hr shuttle, welcoming front desk, and decent watering hole with good enough food & service, what's not to dislike. Our room was large, decently appointed and clean. If you find a better place, please post because we will definitely return.

Like many US airport hotels this one is average. Clean but worn but suitably located close to the airport. The advertised shuttle bus to the hotel from the airport is a bit hit and miss on timings and I had to wait almost 40 minutes before it arrived which is not good. Check in at the hotel was quick. Room clean and had all basic requirements. Nothing really local outside in the way of shops other than a 24hr small store on the neighbouring garage forecourt. Meals provided on site were basic and... Read more

Spent 7 nights whilst waiting for a return flight to Orlando. Rooms are comfortable and aircraft noise is acceptable. Rooms are clean. There is little to do or see near the hotel. There is a shuttle to Manhattan Beach (about 30 mins away) where you can spend some time at the beach or at the shopping mall. The fare is very reasonable at $5.00 per head return. This shuttle appears to be exclusive for hotels along the blvd only. The concierge (Jo) was very helpful and arranged a VIP tour of LA takin... Read more

It's safe, clean, and completely unremarkable. The bed was well worn and once you found the spot everyone else has slept in you can fall asleep. Clean bathrooms. The checkin was easy enough. The checkout was painless. The bus to the airport took longer than average to wait for.

Good location, free airport shuttle, good staff, good bar, good food, good rooms, comfy bed, cable tv with all the premium channels, perfect for an overnight stay when on transit in LAX and it is next to a Mc donald and convenience store. Best to book on as the rates are much better than direct at the hotel. I paid 105$ vs 140, can't complain. Only wished it had a mini fridge and a newer less noisy aircon .

Waited almost an hour for shuttle pickup at airport. Finally picked up and checked in. Opened door to the room and the smell was overwhelming. Something between dried vomit and wet dog. Early checkout. No coffee in lobby. At least the shuttle back was on time.

Check in was quick and staff was friendly. Got upgraded to the 8th floor. Had a nice view of LA. Quite room but not very clean. Had a funny smell. But since I was only staying one night I wasn't going to cause an issue. Had dinner at the bar down stairs and the food was good. Bar tender was very friendly and is a good fit for the job. I will not kill my self to come back but won't hurt to stay again.

After a 12hour flight, this hotel is an oasis. A quick check-in and a nice room was satisfying. It offers a free shuttle every 15minutes to LAX, and an average Landings Bar and Grill for quick and basic meals. The free breakfast is average but a menu breakfast is available and other options are offered. A McDonalds is adjacent, and plenty of parking is available. It is noisy as La Cienega is busy all the time. But, it is good for a one night stand!

I was very disappointed in my experience at this Holiday Inn, but I'll start with the positives. The staff was fantastic. Front desk, room service and waiter in the restaurant were all very kind and took extra steps to be helpful. I was disappointed by the workout room. It's in a room outside of the actual hotel. The door locks, but the room doesn't appear to have any sort of security cameras or surveillance which made me uncomfortable. My main complaint is regarding the maintenance sta... Read more

But we only stayed the one night. They were going to charge $22.00 to park in their lot. A fee which they waived once we told them about the issues we had experienced and also deducted $25.00 from the room fee. The room was completely overpriced for this area. The room rate was $189.00. This hotel is spoiled by poor management of the restaurant. I had to return my meal twice after an 11 hour flight (with an 8 Hour time difference). Surely the serving staff can follow a simple instruction. It appears that the hotel is run more for the convenience of the staff than the customers. It's high time the manager took greater control. We stayed at this hotel 1 mid-week night. After a very strategic priceline session involving 32 bids at various star levels around the West LA regions, our bid of $130 a night was finally accepted (with fees = $158, not counting the $22 parking cost). So we paid $180 to spend one night at this mediocre Holiday Inn. I stayed one night at this property on my way back home and its everything you come to expect from an airport hotel. The location close to the airport is very convenient, a bit noisy due to the proximity to the airport (but you should expect that) and it was very business like. The only cons was that my room rate didn't include breakfast and you have to pay for parking. Room was clean and spacious.

All round fine for an overnighter pre or post LAX flight. Pool and gym are good. Bar open till near midnight. Shuttle bus can take time but otherwise good. Had an issue in being assigned a wrong room (still had luggage in it!) but the manager quickly resolved it and got me my room quickly and compensated my inconvenience with a free drink voucher at the bar. Surprised to find that the room has no fridge, no water bottle and disposable plastic glasses if the guest want to drink the tap water. The bedsheet/pillow cases were dirty. The front staff were not interested in customers. My request for morning wake-up call was ignored and never made. I will avoid this hotel for my next stay.

It was ok, definitely overpriced. The hotel is quite old. But was clean and comfortable and did the job. We were only there one night as a stop over so was close and convenient to the airport and the shuttle they offer was a bonus !

Its close to the airport and there is a free shuttle from LAX to the hotel which is nice. It has loads of places to eat nearby (albeit fast food places) and is near the car rental shops. We were leaving LA by rental car early the next morning so this was a decent little place to stop. bed was comfy, check in was easy and the wi-fi was good enough.

The service was super efficient and friendly, which was lovely as I was coming in late at night (or I guess early morning) from LAX. The room was more spacious than I though it would be but very basic. The rooms were pretty clean except for the heater/a/c which really didn't have to be turned on but they should go through and make sure are spotless. It is right near the airport but I couldn't really hear them, which might be more from the fact that I was super tired... views weren't great un... Read more

We arrived early and spent the last night of our holiday here. From the moment we arrived, Ian on the front desk advised he would have a room ready in 45 mins.... he took care of our luggage, gave us some area information and advised us of the $5 return ticket to manhattan beach which we purchased from the hotel. Nice shopping and beach area (stops 7 & 8)...!!! Joe the concierge guy was also very helpful and welcoming!! The room was lovely and clean... we checked out the next morning, Joe looked... Read more

Hotel chain in great but sometimes the customer service is no good. Entrance customer service was excellent ( reception desk and door person were very helpful ); but next day early morning was a different story. Receptionist's bad mood should not affect customer service. What a difference between day and night!' Shuttle service to and from airport, can be good or bad, depending on the driver. On the way to the hotel we carried our your own luggage but on the way to the airport driver car... Read more

The room I was given at the Holiday Inn at LAX was excellent. It was spacious, comfortable, clean, and well laid out. There were enough electrical outlets that were positioned well, and it was quiet (there were a lot of teenagers staying on my floor who made a lot of noise in the halls, but if they had not been there, it would have been wonderfully quiet). There were four huge problems that the hotel can fix, if it wants to. First, someone made the terrible decision to put the lights near th... Read more

Stayed here on the first night of a vacation to LA while waiting for other family members to arrive and were more than satisfied with the experience. SHUTTLE SERVICE Getting from LAX to the hotel was very easy thanks to the free shuttle, we didn??t even wait 15 minutes for a shuttle to arrive and once it did it took us straight to the hotel. The driver was a little abrubt and rude which was frustrating but overall the service got us where we needed to go. CHECK-IN We arrived a few hour... Read more

I wasn't expecting to enjoy the rooms as much as I did. It was really comfortable and clean. The hospitality was amazing and since it was located by the airport, the shuttle bus wasn't a long trip. The staff are really friendly and know the area really well. Don't be afraid to ask for suggestions about the best places to visit in town.

Easy access to the hotel from the Freeway and very close tithe airport. Friendly staff on check in. Watch out for $20 car park charge! If returning a car hire there is s filling station right next to he hotel as well as a McDonalds. The room was quite spacious, bed comfortable and bathroom ok. We ate in he bar and the food was good and reasonably priced. Drinks were what you expect to pay in a hotel. As a hotel it feels slight impersonal but that could be a personal opinion!

We stayed 1 night after flying in from England. Staff were friendly and rooms clean. There was bar food available until late night. The free shuttle bus was handy but slow to arrive on the Friday night as LAX was gridlocked. Driver was a great help with luggage.

Stayed here for an overnight layover. Close to LAX, shuttle available, McDonalds in front & other eating places close by makes this hotel really convenient. The only drawback was the 3pm check in. We were early and had to wait for the rooms to become available. They did store our luggage. The room was clean and spacious.

The staff were very friendly when we arrived, especially the concierge especially since our room wasn't ready until 4pm. The concierge suggested we go on a tour. Believe me after a long flight it was the last thing we needed. But we went. The hotel held our luggage. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy. Maccas across the road. We were told by many it was good we were up the road from downtown LA and had to get a cab to anywhere else. Free wi fi and shuttle to and from the hotel.
